I have not met in ages a more delightful chap in the Chichester store, he knew his products and I was struck by the enthusiasm and knowledge Mason had,
I bought the premium product and he upsold the attachments
This young man was a privilege to deal with and will get out customs again

Staff in Chichester store attentive and helpful

I purchased a Leatherman Signal today, 26 July 2025, and the staff were so helpful and knowledgeable about helping me choose the right multi-tool. I didn't catch the lad's name, but on my receipt is ASS14. Thank you so much; I will definitely go back, and the members' discount is amazing.

Excellent service by knowledgeable member of staff.
He knew the pricing policy, knew the stock and product and explained the refund system.

The person that served us was a guy called Mason he was very helpful and he had a good understanding of the products he was selling to kit are son out for his trip to Peru

Hi there to the manager at outdoors express, that made our shopping experience truly easy and informative, rarley do you find a more knowledgeable manager, very happy.

I bought a pair of walking poles for use when walking part of the ‘South Downs Way’ the following day, not realising that a security tag was attached to them until the following morning when about to leave my home.

I had to use pliers and a hack saw to remove the tag with great difficulty!

Called in for husbands first pair of stability trainers. The assistant (Mason) showed us the appropriate ones on display, laying them on their side so it was easy to see all the different choices. This was helpful as other shops sometimes point to several types so quickly that it’s difficult to remember them and what was said about them! Mason gave information on the different types and the foot support, he was friendly, very efficient and professional. My husband had time to try some on and said he’d think about which ones to buy. We went for a coffee then returned to the store and purchased a great pair of trainers.
It was refreshing to have great customer service, sound information and advice but not the pushiness with the sales pitch that you get at other shops sometimes.

Very pleasant and helpful staff set the bar very high for their competitors, allowing me to take all the time I needed to make an informed decision on what walking shoes to buy.

Annabel served me today with new shoes and a rucksack, and the experience could not have been better! Exactly what I wanted, and at a bargain price as well! Loving the GO Card too, such a massive saving, it's 100% worthwhile. I always the Chichester branch for all my outdoor essentials!

Mason was helpful and friendly without being pushy.
My husband, John, wanted a new rucksack. Mason came to check we were okay and then helped John find some trousers he wanted. Mason went to check the stock and found he could order what he wanted online. Because Mason was so helpful John bought a pair of trousers that they had in stock, and a new cap.
I hate shopping but found the service in this store made shopping a pleasure

Alana and Connor were so helpful today with giving advice on new hiking boots, water filtration bottles and rucksack. I’d also mention Mason who I met two weeks ago who answered all my question about the water filtration bottles, told me about his experience and inspired me to return with confidence to this store

Excellent customer service provided by Connor and Luisa. I had a problem with some walking boots and they resolved it quickly, efficiently and to my absolute satisfaction. It is so good to find such good customer service in todays high street.
