Security Tags Damaging Clothing
I bought a t-shirt from the Derby store today. I asked the girl on the till to check the fabric for damage where the security tag went through. It was fine, but when I tried to make the point that the security tags are sometimes damaging the clothes, despite attempts to put them through seams, she could not have been less interested.
I wanted to make the point about the security tags as it does put me off purchasing items from GoOutdoors store. I have had, in the past, t-shirts with damaged threads due to the security tags.

Horrific service.
Asked a lady on the shoe area for some sandals who said that she’d get her colleague to get me it since she was already dealing with a few customers on the scanner. No one came over for an extremely long time. I had seen the lady use her walkie talkie several times and she had gotten no response. Shocking that no managers had acknowledged this as they were all stood at the front talking (assuming they are managers). Two males and one female. Seen a few other staff members walking around not concerned at all. Embarrassing service and treatment towards customers. Many other customers were waiting too. Quite concerning that a large store only has one employee on the shoe department on the first Saturday of school holidays… Also wondering why customers waiting for the machine get priority? Utterly disgusted by the lack of care and attitude from managers. Managers should be retrained since they clearly don’t know how to run a store. Would give zero stars if i could. Gp Outdoors you need to look at your employees and rethink what type of management you’re hiring. Wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone at all.

It's especially disappointing to hear that repeated requests for assistance over the radio appeared to go unanswered while you and other customers were left waiting. We appreciate how this would have left you feeling ignored and undervalued, particularly during what we recognise is a busy trading period.
Customer service should never make our customers feel overlooked, and we're sorry that on this occasion we fell short of expectations. I ordered on the 11th July, click and collect. I am now waiting for an email saying my order is ready to collect. No sign of it.

The Derby store was well laid out
The Derby store was well laid out. Easy to find specific activity clothing. Plenty of room inbetween sections to look without being crowded by other shoppers. Lots of parking too. After making two great purchases, Liam on the checkout was helpful, cheerful and made our whole experience very good. We will definitely be back.

Andy, in the fishing section was fantastic. Spotted me unsure amongst the rods and came and knowledgeably answered all my questions. Fixed a rod i wanted that was seized in the heat and was just generally great!

What a miserable bunch of staff. Visited today, 12 people queuing at the till, no urgency to get extra staff on the tills. 5 staff nearby obviously not interested in customer service. It will be a while before I visit again. What happened to service with a smile?
