I popped into Go Outdoors expecting to…
I popped into Go Outdoors expecting to buy a couple of bits for a weekend hike. Instead, I received what can only be described as a masterclass in outdoor retail from Callum and Eben.
Callum somehow managed to answer every question I had, including several I hadn’t thought of yet. At one point I was convinced he could probably navigate me up Everest using only a compass, a flapjack, and pure confidence.
Eben was equally brilliant. I asked for advice on waterproof gear and left feeling prepared for everything from a light drizzle to a biblical flood. If Noah had met Eben, the Ark would have had better storage solutions.
Together they were like the Batman and Robin of camping equipment, except friendlier and with significantly better knowledge of hiking socks.
Fantastic service, great laughs, and I somehow spent less money than I expected while buying more than I intended. Witchcraft may be involved.
Give Callum and Eben a pay rise before a rival outdoor shop lures them away with promises of unlimited trail mix.
Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great customer service
We visited your Dorchester store yesterday, on 27/05/26. The shop is well stocked, tidy, and items are easy to find. We were welcomed and assisted by Heidi. I have noticed of recent that many high street shops lack the customer service they once had, but Heidi was very helpful, cheerful, and attentive. She had a wonderful sense of humour and a genuine desire to assist us. She truly is a valuable asset to your store.
