Friendly staff, super helpful great prices
We were warmly welcomed, help to choose [walking shoes] was friendly, patient and not at all pushy. And the price is great! You pay £5 to be a member but worth every penny - I saved way more on the shoes.

I bought some walking shoes
I bought some walking shoes. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, bringing me several different ones to try on. The shoes were comfy and reasonably priced.

Fabulous shopping experience
We were able to discuss our requirements with Mark and he guided us to the very best option in store-we wouldn’t have found this ourselves in store or on line. Service was with a smile and a bucketful of great humour but no hard sell. Fabulous shopping experience.

Helpful and cheerful service
The shop was quite busy but the staff of two - Karen and Maggie - were very proactive in helping customers. When the Merril trainers I’d ordered appeared I decided they were a poor fit and happened to mention I’d ordered a different shoe three days ago and didn’t come over to try them on. No problem. Some detective work dug them up. Not a good fit either. I calculated that Karen (or Maggie) had been up and down the staircase four times and had spent ten minutes or so at the till filling in the paperwork. They were cheerful all the time and were absolutely helpful.
