I went to try and find a pair of walking shoes to fit my very awkward feet. Amy served me and was fantastic. I lost count of how many different pairs I tried. Amy was very helpful and very patient. Sadly I did not make a purchase as the size stock was limited in my final chosen pair.

Went for new walking boots. Amy and Tyler were very helpful and chatty, nothing felt like too much trouble when trying on different shoes and sizes. Useful knowledge when comparing shoes. Thanks both

Went to the Kidderminster branch to look for cycle helmets for myself and son. Ordered both as not in stock. My son's arrived but I was left wondering where mine was. It was several days when I received an email saying "part of my order was unavailable and I had been refunded", no alternatives suggested. very disappointing. Left trying to source another cycling helmet for myself now.
The portable fire pit I ordered at the same time was in stock and delivered fine and was as described.

Today we were served by Andrea and we couldn’t have asked for anything better! She was so helpful, spending the time to fit my rucksack onto my body so that it fit perfectly, as well as testing it with different weights so I could get used to it. She also pointed us to all the things that would be useful for my travelling, giving so much valuable information and advice that I just wouldn’t have known! Absolutely great experience, would highly recommend!!

We were served by Tracy in the Naylors part of the shop. We went in looking for a pair of boots and got the perfect pair. An absolutely fabulous experience! Thank you Tracy!

I visited the Kidderminster store with my family to buy some hiking trousers, and camping gear for my sons birthday. We enjoyed the visit and spent quite a while looking at the large collection of outdoor items for sale. We went to the till to pay, where my son produced his membership card for the lady to scan in order for me to pay. We were absolutely amazed at how this middle aged woman with glasses and dyed hair turned on my son. She snapped at him saying that she couldn't scan his card, her whole body language and attitude shocked us all. My wife said that there was no need to be so rude and that we also had other cards she could scan. At this, she grabbed a walkie-talkie and radiod for a manager to come over. Fortunately, the manager was extremely helpful with a much better attitude towards her paying customers. It seems quite obvious that the first very unprofessional woman is extremely unhappy working for Go Outdoors as there was no reason for her hostile attitude towards us. Hopefully, she'll move on from the store and find a job that she enjoys.

Always a good experience here. Today was no exception. Kaz in the shoe department was excellent. She was helpful and friendly and gave me really good advice as to the fit of my walking shoes. She also went above and beyond to help recommend some trail running shoes for me. Friendly and chatty and very knowledgeable. I would always come here for any outdoor gear.

Staff at Go Outdoors Kidderminster are always helpful, happy to give constructive advice and nothing is too much trouble. Angie, and her colleague, was particularly helpful in offering advice about walking shoes, and she was able to sort a price query quickly and effectively. Would recommend.

On Saturday 20th June, I visited the Kidderminster store. I have recently upgraded all of our camping items and had some final bits to purchase. This is my nearest store.
The store itself is very spacious; however, it is in need of a massive update! The car park has more holes in it than a slice of Emmental cheese, and the store itself inside smells like the bottom of a wet rabbit hutch. The carpet was saturated from heavy rainfall — so wet, in fact, that the bottom of my linen trousers were sodden by the time I left the store.
The staff were helpful as always; however, due to the pungent smell, I did not stick around long enough to get all of the items I went in for, mainly because I was fearing breathing in some type of airborne bacterial fungus!!!
I actually wanted some items of clothing also, but didn't want to purchase clothes that had been under a clearly rotten roof!
Such a shame for customers to experience, and an even bigger shame for the wonderful (in my experience) staff to have to suffer. If the shop front is in this state, I can only imagine what a hovel it must be out the back.

The staff and their customer service I would rate 5 stars, and the product range also deserves 5 stars. However, the current state of the store unfortunately brings the overall rating down personally.

Just popped in to buy a back pack for my son I'd seen online. Andrea was SO helpful. She taught us how to ensure it fitted correctly by adjusting it perfectly to my son's height. Thank you Andrea.

I popped to the kiddy branch today solely for a couple of t-shirts for fathers day.
Upon entering the store I was greeted with familiarity by Andrea who has dealt with us on numerous occasions as we are frequent visitors!
I went to turn right to find the entire mens section roped off due to yesterday's flood.
I looked at Andrea in complete horror and asked kindly if I could just grab 2 t-shirts. She said unfortunately not then proceeded to head under the barrier to start personal shopping for me which I found highly amusing!!
After some deliberating and back and forth (on Andrea's part) we selected 2! She was then very accommodating when I said I needed a quick dry t-shirt for my father in law!!!
She trotted off on a mission and picked one better than what I would have done!!
If on your next team meeting you get to read these out then please do.
We find all staff at the kiddy branch informative and helpful always however Andrea nails it every time! Her enthusiasm and passion for the job is infectious! She always makes time to ask my son about his fishing and daughter about her horse riding.
A true breath of fresh air!

Today, i arrived at the store to find it closed due to flooding from a burst pipe. I had only wanted to nip in and purchase an inflatable camping pillow. We live 16 miles away so not keen on having to come back tomorrow, I knocked on the door and explained what I needed. After 5 minutes, a member of staff had kindly waded through the flooded ground floor to fetch my pillow! Thank you!

Went to purchase some camping equipment and was helped by Andrea who was so helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and jolly. She gave good advice of equipment i needed and I ended up buying more than I intended. Great service and will definitely be back.
