Shopping for new hoodie found what I wanted at a price I wanted to pay

Huge thanks to Joe in the Macclesfield branch for going through virtually every box from a recent delivery to find the right sized dryrobe for me when there wasn't one available on the shop floor. Very much appreciated, will definitely shop there again. 😊

Excellent service from Chloe and Sif. Both incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and Chloe ensured I could try on shoes and shop in peace by challenging my 7 year old son to go and find all the fish stickers in store. It worked a treat!

Sif helped me out with a waterproof jacket, checked stock online, gave me loads of advice, and ordered the jacket I wanted to be delivered to my home.

It's people like these two who make it worth shopping in store instead of mindlessly scrolling through stuff online with no idea what to look for.

Chloe & Sif were really helpful when buying a new coat and new walking boots. Sif was very knowledgeable when helping me decide onwhat to buy

Was taken directly to the correct location and shown 3 different relevant products - 2 (+) L hydration bladders. Was helped with my selection and with applying my BMC discount. Got what I needed with minimal fuss and saved a few £. All products had a good wide opening for filling. I went for Vango rather than own brand.

I visited Go Outdoors in Macclesfield last week looking for Sealskinz thermal waterproof gloves. The sales people were friendly and most helpful, finding exactly what I wanted online and suggesting free delivery which saved me a return visit. I bought two pairs!

Visited the store today and the young man was super helpful. Giving us options of what dry robes to buy and why and then told us about the club membership to save money.

Anders was very diligent in locating our discount card as the address had not been changed
Also indicated that the boots I had selected were not the best for my needs
New boots worked out about same price as original section

I would like to say a big thank you to Steve in the Macclesfield store for his time and expertise. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient helping me select extra hiking clothing and carefully going through the best options for waterproof coats. His advice was spot on and a few days later I ended up purchasing a coat he recommended from the larger Stockport store, as they had a wider range in stock.

That said, I have to say the customer service in Stockport doesn’t come close to the experience you receive in Macclesfield — Steve, Sif and the rest of the team there really set the standard. I would strongly recommend the Macclesfield store to anyone looking for friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely helpful service.

I bought some walking shoes and a rucksack at Go Outdoor Macclesfield branch. Steve, the shop assistant, listened carefully to what I was looking for and was super helpful. I’m very happy with my purchases and will continue to support the high street shops.

Your experienced staff appear to have left in your macclesfield shop, which means if you ask a question you never get a proper or satisfactory answer, the staff have to pass the question round, other than that, they are pleasant enough, however, it is far cheaper to look on-line for stuff, take Halfords price of Fabsil Gold Universal protector, it's half your price and the store is a lot closer than yours, even your bonus cards are no use.

My previous waterproof boots had worn down and I needed a new pair. Straight to Go Outdoors where it was very easy to try on several pairs with the help of Amy who was straightforward and easy to communicate with. I really like my new Merrell shoes and no doubt will be back again in the future

Bought a pair of walking boots today. Anders was great, talking me though all the options. Just keeping my fingers crossed that they perform as well on the trails as they did when I walked around the shop.

We got what we needed. We also got a couple of things that we had intended to go elsewhere for. Checking prices later, we got very good value & saved money. We were served by SIF and credit for our success goes to him - nice bloke too.
