Needed some walking shoes at a good price. GO understood the assignment! Miranda was great, I got my shoes and we headed to Bolton Abbey. Great shoes, great service!

Very helpful.

I had a very helpful shop assistant, Miranda, who listened to what I was asking for; she was friendly, respectful of my space, was straight forward in her advice and left me me make my choices and decide what and whether I wanted to buy.

I bought exactly what I needed for my trip to Spain, including waterproof phone bag, secure wallet for bank cards, an appropriately sized rucksack (for flight luggage and holiday use) and mini-padlocks for security. I was delighted also to find a top-quality duvet jacket with pockets for passport, wallet, phone etc.. Thank you for your service, Miranda.

We have been customers of GoOutdoors for several years and use the chain regularly for our out door needs. I bought a pair of walking boots for my wife thinking she would like them but unfortunately she did not so while in the dales we decided to call at the Skipton store and see what they could do to resolve the issue. They could not have been more helpful and we were able to try several boots before purchasing a pair of Scarpa boots after taking advice from Caitlin and her boss who were both extremely helpful. Thank you.

No nonsense service. Pleasant and prompt. The lady knew her products and within 10 minutes I had what I was looking for and was heading to the door. Shopping as it should be. Thanks a lot - Excellent. My apologies that I do not know the name of the lady who sold me the Merrell trainers.

I had bought some bridgedale socks and and sadly picked up the wrong ones. The ones I wanted didn't have my husbands size. Miranda who was already dealing with two lots of people she still kindly volunteered to go and look for the socks as soon as she had finished. She came back with quite a few pairs which was fab as it enabled me to buy another two pairs for my husband.

Very helpful in my choosing the right product

We popped into the shop in the hope of finding a suitable pair of walking boots for my partner to prevent him completing another walk in his steel toe construction boots (🫣).
We had no idea what would be a good option and requested two different pairs from Alison who also recommended we try on a third pair, which my partner was instantly sold on after trying them on. Alison wasn’t trying to upsell as the boots were cheaper. Her main concern was that my partner had the best option for his requirements. We spent the following day walking for 3.5 hours and the boots were comfortable, didn’t rub or catch on their foot once, they are delighted with them and it’s all down to the care and professionalism of Alison. Thank you.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Go Outdoors in Skipton, thanks to Caitlin. After a long day of hiking, my partner was having some trouble with his boots, and Caitlin was just amazing. She was incredibly patient, super friendly, and made the whole process fun, even letting us try on what felt like all the hiking boots in the store until we found the perfect fit. Thanks to her, we left the store really happy and comfortable. Highly recommend visiting this store if you’re in Skipton and need outdoor gear! Very friendly and welcoming.

We called in to look at some new walking boots for my partner. A lady approached us and asked us if we were being looked after. We asked to see a few different pairs in the particular size and the lady, Miranda, went to get them. After trying on at least 4 pairs and needing other sizes to try, we settled on what we wanted. Pretty much a perfect transaction. The guy at the till was polite, upbeat and professional too so overall a great experience. Well done to Miranda and the helpful staff at Go Outdoors Skipton!
