I had to wait a while as there was only one member of staff on the shop floor initially (and that's the only reason that I haven't given 5 stars). But Thomas was very helpful in my walking shoe selection, professional and polite.

The sales colleague Miranda was very attentive and helpful in identifying potential products for the purchase.

Miranda was very willing to help and…
Miranda was very willing to help and pleasant in manner, and when I realised that I had brought my Duke of Edinburgh card, rather than my membership card, she immediately checked on the system to try and find my details. She tried searching under my name, address and email, but unfortunately no records were appearing. Eventually I managed to find an email with my membership number and I got the discount to buy two rain coats, which did make quite a difference. Miranda was patient throughout, and what could have been frustrating, proved to be quite a satisfying shop.

Order not delivered and very poor customer service
I ordered a coat last Thursday and the order was acknowledged but I have heard nothing since that acknowledgment and still do not have the coat I requested. I am glad I chose to pay when I collected the product so I am not out of pocket.
They responded to a complaint I registered on their website which was not conclusive and does not really stand up as they say the product is out of stock yet it is still offered for sale on the web site. I commented on their response, and I now have exactly the same reply three times. They look totally incompetent and not at all interested in any form of customer satisfaction.

Purchase of walking bootd
Miranda served me and was excellent throughout the process. Not only was she knowledgeable, helpful and gave good advice, more importantly she listened carefully to my requirements and did NOT adopt a “hard sell approach”! This resulted in me purchasing walking boots that met my needs and were competitively priced.
