Good shopping experience , lots of stock . Good customer service.

Visited the Stockport branch today from Stok-On-Trent, due to a tent not being in stock at stoke, we got the bundle pack with the tent. They only had the porch in grey whereas the tent is blue. A colleague there (unfortunately can’t remember his name) had excellent customer service skills, he rang around other stores to see if they had the colour we wanted, managed to locate one in the Manchester store and had it reserved for us. Excellent customer services

I visited the Stockport store yesterday to look at Garmin watches and from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out, the experience was absolutely top drawer. All staff made eye contact, smiled and made me feel welcome. I was served by Jamie who was so patient as I tried on various models (they're so fiddly to get off their display stands) and had excellent product and market knowledge: really first class support. Sadly, the model I went for wasn't in stock so I went online later and purchased that way. However, that sale (£750+) was entirely Jamie's: by doing what he did, he totally made that sale. Separately, I had to ring back when making the online purchase to check my membership: the guy who answered went off to confirm and, instead of just coming back and blandly confirming yes or no, had the wit to also come back with my membership number...small stuff maybe but again another indicator of great sales staff. There are reasons why some brands survive and others don't...and great customer service certainly is one of those qualities that can make the difference. Well done Go Outdoors Stockport! Thank you!

Lorna W was super helpful assisting me with my exchange making the process hassle free. Would highly recommend this location as the staff like herself make the place great.

The store had so many things and as someone who has recently gained ä passion for hiking it was the perfect place to go. I bought a backpack and hiking poles. I was served by Lorna who was genuinely ä 10/10 and I’m not the type of person to go out of my way to write a review on anything but she helped me become a member and guided me on how to use the hiking poles. Thank you Lorna !

There was no one working on the hiking boots and walking shoe section today as a company you missed out on a £170 sell and the attitude at the till when I told them was not there problem to sort out. Sorry that's bad customer training even if they are part time get it sort Go outdoors !!!

Tbh all went well and would have been 5 stars but for the fact I did pick my own online order instore!! Which wasnt too much hassle tbh apart from a bit of a scare with a jacket that couldn't be found at first but was eventually found,when I ordered it said pick up after 1pm but it hadn't been picked by 1.30pm so I picked it myself,but all good really,prices ok too..

The reason for the 5 starI had been to several different places to look for a bike for my sons birthday.
And none of them were very helpful. But Marcus from the Go outdoors was extremely helpful he explained everything and NO PUSHING to sell me anything. In the end I walked out with what I wanted a new bike for my son. Thank you Marcus for all your help👍🏻This 5 star goes to you. Above and beyond

John was very helpful in sorting out the problem.

The staff at this store were incredibly helpful. I was unsure about the items I needed for my camping stove but the staff were very knowledgeable and happy to help. Especially Lorna who was on the till.

Found exactly what we wanted (and what we didn't know we wanted!) but the service from Lorna was most helpful

I was able to spend quite a bit of time just browsing while I was thinking about my upcoming trip. I appreciated that I wasn't pestered by staff, but when I needed to ask any questions or further help, all the staff I spoke to were very helpful. Shout out to Lorna on the till for her help and advice on membership.
A pretty good selection of stuff in store ranging from budget to more premium brands which was really helpful in working through what I was looking for.
All being well, a relaxing place to visit - will definitely go again as opposed to elsewhere as the store was big enough without being too overwhelming.

Purchased some fishing equipment inc new Rod.
Couldn't find the Rod I wanted but Kacey came to my rescue.
She must have spent 10 mins looking for the correct Rod for me.
She was brilliant even though fishing isn't her section.
After buying another couple of items went to the till where we were served by Lorna who as usual was excellent.
Fabulous staff served us today, keep up the good work Go Outdoors.
Hopefully Senior Staff may read this and pass on congratulations to both members of staff.

Excellent customer service from Jamie. We were unsure on what to buy & phoned ahead from a different shop after being given conflicting information (we required a specific gas canister/fitting for a new bbq). Jamie gave us precise and clear info helping us to feel reassured and was incredibly helpful and kind during the process. He helped us brilliantly over the phone and in person when we arrived at the store. Jamie is a credit to the team. Thank you.

Called the store to reserve some walking boots. Spoke to Lorna and she was fab.
She put the boots aside to pick up by the end of the day. I was also served by her at the till. She was really friendly and helpful and was able to price match the boots too! Overall I’m very happy with the service I received.

Purchased a refurbished awning which came without instructions. As a result, I had some initial problems with the air tube valves, which were resolved by a phonecall to my local store.

Great service as always

Marcus was very helpful and reassuring. His cycling knowledge was superb 😊👍🏻
