GO Outdoors - Thurrock Reviews 

Went to Lakeside Go Outdoors looking for some walking shoes, particularly Merrells. Lina tried very hard to help me but unfortunately I needed a 5 1/2 which Go Outdoors do not stock. Lina was very helpful & knowledgeable about footwear. I wish more sales assistants were as helpful & pleasant as she was.

Visited this store in Lakeside, Thurrock earlier today. Excellent assistance from both Lucy and Adel for purchases made. Pays to enrol as a member as discounts on goods acquired really good.

It’s been a long time since I’ve stepped foot in a Go Outdoors and I clearly looked a little lost. Thankfully David approached me realising I needed assistance and was very knowledgable, friendly and helpful. He gave me a lot of advice regarding the ideal boots I would require for my needs. His product knowledge was brilliant and I felt well looked after and prepared for my upcoming adventures. He helped with boots, socks (which hadn’t even crossed my mind) and I was so overwhelmed in the trouser section but David pointed out some key features that would be suitable and after trying on a few pairs I found what I was looking for. He made the whole experience less daunting and quite enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Go Outdoors always has a wide variety of choices and we can usually find what we are looking for. Their prices are usually competitive.

We were able to view what we wanted to buy and speak with someone who was very helpful. His name was Harvey and he explained everything, answered lots of questions and was able to price match for us. Great customer service. Thank you

We went into the store on this weekend looking for DofE equipment for an up coming expedition for our daughter, we really appreciated David H's assistance and advice in a number of areas making the shop much easier and added his knowledge in this area as well as to the specific items we were looking for.

We visited the store today to stock up for a group expedition that's going to morroco and the team in the store were great. Kelly who helped us on the tills also helped organise for a member of staff to fit rucksacks on the children so they got the right size and they fitted them correctly. Brilliant experience that has given us a positive view of the store and the staff.

Kelly and Andonis were really helpful. Went out of their way to help with my exchange - patiently waiting while I tracked down receipt as item was a gift! Thoroughly recommend this store as staff are always friendly and super helpful

​I recently visited GO Outdoors Thurrock to buy a new family tent and some associated gear, and I was so impressed with the service I received from Martin.
​From the moment we started talking, Martin was incredibly knowledgeable. He patiently talked us through the features of several different tents and all the accompanying essential items. His passion and understanding of the gear made a massive difference—it wasn't just a sales pitch; it was genuine, expert advice. He took the time to answer all my questions, no matter how small, and was exceptionally patient throughout the whole process.
​Because of his great advice, I ended up confidently making a huge purchase, spending nearly £500! Martin even took the initiative to save me money right away by signing me up for the member card, which was a brilliant extra touch. To top it all off, he was kind enough to carry all the bulky items out to my car.
​I was genuinely impressed with his customer service and efficiency. I will absolutely be coming back to the store, and specifically requesting Martin's assistance for any future purchases. Give this man a raise!

We traveled over an hour and had to pay for the dartford crossing to get there for the top floor to be closed off , where the fishing stuff is , some one had removed the closed off area at the bottom of the stairs , when my son went up there , a staff member accused him of stealing, my son tired explaining, that we had traveled quite away for fishing stuff and the member of staff got on his radio and said we have a shop lifter and called the manager, left the shop absolutely disgusted , I will never come to the shop again , nothing on there web page that the top floor was closed

Excellent customer service by Jess and Toma and Go Outdoors lakeside. I needed help processing a return and they were so helpful and friendly.

Go outdoors in Thurrock is a great shop. Love shopping there especially as a member you get some great deals. Kelly who was one of the assistants who helped me with my dog Lottie, who I was buying a new rain jacket for as I had ordered to collect was great at helping me try it on her. She was very patient and helpful .

Great members of staff helped me go through a number of options before I purchased .

Great selection of items to choose from. And very good quality too. Good prices too especially as I have a members card.

I quickly found what I wanted, and it was just the same as the photos online. The lady at the till was really helpful, and even though I gave her all sorts of problems to solve, she was always cheerful and polite.
