At Grade Potential, we believe the most impactful learning doesn’t need to happen through a screen. It happens face-to-face. It’s not just our preference, it’s the foundation of how we work with students and families every day. We focus on in-person tutoring because we’ve seen what happens when students build real relationships with the people helping them. We match each learner with a local, vetted educator who meets with them at home or at a location that works for the family. It’s familiar, consistent, and built for sustainable progress. We know every family’s needs are different. That’s why we offer virtual sessions when needed, especially for students in rural areas, with inconsistent home time, or who simply prefer learning online. But our model is intentionally built around real-life connection and in-person support because those elements tend to lead to stronger outcomes over time. Whether the subject is elementary reading or graduate-level writing, we help families find the right tutor for their needs, their pace, and their goals. And from first outreach to final session, we handle the logistics, the communication, and the follow-through, so the focus stays where it should: on consistent, high-quality learning.

Great Match
My son is on the Autism spectrum, so a good match was important. My son loves his tutor. She is very kind and patient. This was a great move.

Dear Tutoring Team,
Dear Tutoring Team,
I wanted to take a moment to share my feedback regarding Ernest, the tutor I have been working with for my son.
Ernest has been an incredible tutor. He is knowledgeable, patient, and consistently helps build my son’s confidence. He has an exceptional ability to break down algebra concepts in a way that makes them easy to understand, which has made a noticeable difference in my son’s learning experience.
I truly appreciate the support and highly recommend Ernest to anyone seeking a math tutor.
Thank you for providing such high-quality tutoring services.
Best regards,
Aileen Vega

Horrible tutoring company
Carlos(he calls himself Dany) was irresponsible in tutoring and complained a lot about teaching my son who has learning problem. Not on time and sometimes no show. When I complained to his supervisor Amy, she ignored me and did not call to resolve the problem.

Our tutor Aven is fantastic
Our tutor Aven is fantastic! She is attentive and respectful to both my son and us, as his parents. We have been over the moon pleased with her! Our son took to her immediately, and that is due to her easy going nature and calm demeanor. I'm very impressed with her ability to jump right in and get him working immediately! We love that she comes to our home, it is very convenient.

They matched us with a great tutor for my daughter. Which makes me super happy and very hopeful for my daughter. She can’t wait for our tutoring days after school. I wish that our tutor could be my daughter’s teacher full time.
Tutor Experience
Hello My Name Is Samia, My tutor gave up on me unexpectedly because I clearly wasn't focusing, and plus it is so expensive the billing fee every Wednesday was around 69$ it was so much money, because my family has a lot of bills to pay, my family couldn't keep up with the fees we were supposed to pay to keep the tutoring in sessions. My mom called Grade Potential and tried to tell them that she could not pay the fee for the tutoring session and they told her its okay and they totally understand. My parents were also mad because I made the tutor leave, and started yelling, and arguing with me. We were starting to do grade potential in early December, because I had failed my STAAR EOC Interims, We did it for Algebra homework and I was starting to understand the material a bit better but it was very hard for me to retain the information being processed or learning how to do the steps for each equation. I am very horrible at math and at retaining information, and managing things like focusing, paying attention can be very challenging at time, I have been on a IEP/504 plan since I was in kindergarten and I have struggled with math and retaining information, and if we added a new subject other than math like if we did math and English both together it would charge me more money rather than just the 69$ for the session. And if it were three subjects it would be 100$ and 100$ every week is a ripoff just to get better at math. I really love Grade Potential, it is good and it helps your child succeed, but sometimes it can be way too much money for some people, I would call them back and hire a new tutor but the money would be way too much to continue with Grade Potential, the sad part about all of this is that they don't give refunds after you're done with grade potential this feels like a total scam, most tutors I find on the internet and expect me to pay money are mostly scammers trying to take your money but after I received a tutor arriving to my house and my family paying them money this is legitimate company. The tutor didn't stay for the full 2 hours that we paid for, but the tutor left after only 1 hour, 40 minutes, cutting the session short by 20 minutes. When we asked her to stay after she left and finish the scheduled time, she refused and left anyway. Unprofessional and not worth the money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!!!!
Tutor and company
Christian was able to help my son with any subject. I dont know what I would have done without his help for my son who is on high school. He was both a blessing and God send. He never missed one day tutoring him. He was always patient, kind, and very professional. He became like our family. The best thing of all they come to your home.
