Very poor quality paper
Very poor quality paper. If you are going to print out, please ensure that paper is at least acceptable quality. This is not ok. I already know your response to this - sustainability, caring for environment, recycling. I will deal with this for a year as I subscribed, but I am not planning to renew after.

Never received my magazine
Never received my magazine, chased a few times and live chat told me it had been despatched and to wait a bit longer due to Christmas. Eventually had to chase again for a refund as magazine is now out of stock.
Terrible
Despite having an active subscription I can never access grazia online. Always have to reset my account password, then prompted to pay and subscribe even though I already am. When I click log in again the link doesn’t work. The user experience is absolutely rubbish and clunky. So frustrating to have this happen time and time again, given the expense. After 8 years of loyalty I am seriously considering cancelling my subscription as I no longer want to pay for the unreliability and the ongoing hassle.

Be wary before signing up for subscription.
Took out a subscription which we thought was for one year. They have now taken payment for another year and are refusing to refund this payment despite us contacting them within 14 days of the payment being taken to say we no longer wish to receive the magazine.

Disgruntled customer!
I have a weekly digital subscription of Take a Break. Most weeks without fail it does not get updated on the app, with only the last weeks issue available (if I even got the previous weeks at all!).
I am persistently emailing Bauer media and reporting the problem. I’m told time and time again to delete and reinstall app, log out and back in, however this never works and I’m left again waiting days, sometimes weeks without the latest issue.
It is a persistent problem, time and time again.
I really don’t know what else is to be done about this as I repeatedly email Bauer and no fix or resolution is ever found to prevent this happening week on week.
Great magazines and Bauer really need to sort this problem out.
I’m a most disgruntled customer to say the least.
And … no I still don’t have this weeks issue that should have landed yesterday.

Order Failed Again
I have tried several times to place an order for Rail Magazine. Each times after I enter my details, including my bank details, the response is Order Failed.
Their customer service is rubbish.
They appear to be not interested in selling magazines.

Loss of access your digital content if you cancel your subscription
So, I subscribed to Ride Magazine for many years, initially receiving a printed copy but then moved to digital content. I cancelled my subscription given the prevailing economic conditions. At this point I lost access to the many years worth of digital copies of the magazine I had purchased. Having reviewed the T&C's it now states that access will be lost upon cancellation of the subscription, this I believe has been updated in the last 12 months. I find it very poor that access to copies of Ride that I have legitimately purchased is no longer provided. I have subscriptions to other digital media that I have cancelled the subscription for however, I have retained access to content I have purchase. I really feel that this practice is unfair, after all the don't ask for the printed version back!! (OK I'm being facetious). I'm sur there will be argument about cost of maintaining an account for non-scribers but really is this justification? I certainly wont be renew a subscription in the future if this cause in their T&C's remains.
Looking at the responses to other reviews I don't expect a reply and if i do it will be a bog standard response. This Kind of sums up the company's attitude toward its customers!!

This company took money without consent…
This company took money without consent during a TRIAL period. My husband signed up for a trial of a Bike magazine 3 issues for £5. Along with Ride magazine, same offer . He only has received 1 trial issue so far then they took full money out of the bank during this trial period. Never before has a magazine company ever taken money during a trial period and effectively signed up to a subscription without consent and I have had a lot of subscriptions over the years. I called them to be told they take payment in advance of the trial period to avoid a lapse in membership. When I disputed this I was told it's in the terms and conditions? Where??? I looked at their terms and conditions and could not see anything at all that was obvious. They have refused to refund even though our trial period has not ended and we have not received all of the trial issues but they have taken money out for a full subscription. The agent was adamant that no refund would be given. I have written to complain and will raise with this Paypal to get this money back and Trading Standards will also be informed. This company needs investigating 89% 1 start reviews is shocking. Update: PayPal upheld our complaint and refunded our money in full which was taken out of our account unauthorised by this company. They should make it crystal clear you are entering into a full subscription not a trial!!!

Abysmal...!!!!. Took out a subscription in May 24, had 2 emails telling me they had my money. Nothing about when the first magazine is due....!!!! The only information was about first "collection" being after 17th June 24.
End of June & nothing so I call. Your First Magazine will be AUGUST. Then to be told we can't give a refund....!!!!!!!!!
Robbers, avoid like the plague. Go to your local newsagents & order from them, this lot are shysters.

still unable to create an account still says systems maintenance. Messages advising this and also being offline for a long time are often as a result of a data breach
Regardless of the comment below they are not interested in helping

Beware this company: they will charge early
Took a trial period with trail magazine, which I enjoyed. It's a shame they are using great magazines/Bauer as I will not subscribe again. payment was taken weeks early, well within my trial period. I reached out and asked for a refund, and they declined citing incredibly shady practices and not being consumer friendly at all. Their subscription management portal is intentionally always 'down for maintenance'. Steer clear of this company.
Just to add - if you paid by PayPal and dispute this company, Paypal will rule in your favour and you will get refunded. Don't accept it Bauer offer 'no refunds'.

Scam company
Scam company! Ordered 4 magazines for £2, only received 1 and they have just taken £27.50 out of my account. Tried to cancel but they have no record of my email address. DONT RISK YOUR MONEY WITH THESE CRIMINALS! Reported to my bank for unauthorised payment

DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!!!!!!!!
Very disappointed. I ordered a Radiohead collectors magazine AGES ago. I never got a confirmation email and I thought I’d just leave it however after 2 weeks it still hadn’t arrived so I thought I’d email and ask. They said give it up to 10 days and there were delays already?? I left it another week or so and it still hadn’t arrived so I thought to give a call. They told me over phone that they had a spare copy and they would sent it to me as a replacement. I just received an email from the company telling me they actually don’t have a new copy and it was “false information!!!” I’m very angry as I waited so long. I apparently will be getting a refund but do NOT trust this website. I only saw the reviews after and I now feel silly!!

No digital access
I have subscribed for 15 years to print and digital. They stopped access to the digital editions and then stopped all acces to past editions as well. Never use. Customer service must be based overseas - latest timed response arrive at 09:38 and earliest was 01:50.

Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If I could give zero stars I would. My husband signed up for a "trial" offer of 3 issues for £5 for Practical Classics magazines. He only received 2 before he was charged £30 on a recurring payment. On querying this he was told he had signed up for 12 months and couldn't cancel. Absolute scam company

Terrible company
Terrible company to deal with. I signed up for 4 issues for whatever price it was. That was last June. Now they’re saying I signed up for a year which I know I didn’t. Terrible to get out of the subscription. I’ll just cancel the direct debit though so they can sod off.
In response to your response I’ve already emailed you and just get pretty rude and too the point replies. You put me on auto renew. I didn’t ask for that. I’ve cancelled my PayPal payment and will quite happily see you in court if you pursue me any further. I did not sign up for 12 months. Look at my name above and it was a ride magazine subscription

Terrible customer experience with no loyalty to customers
I recently discovered that my monthly paid subscription to Empire had been paused at no notice because it had been "returned as undeliverable" (not that any other post has been unable to find a very visible house with a great set of postal staff).
More than 30 emails later, my subscription "has now expired" despite being paid monthly for 3.5 years, and they are refusing to reinstate my monthly direct debit. Instead they're insisting on annual payment, at a per magazine price that has now doubled.
Clearly this is a very naked attempt to inflate prices with no thought for the customer – had they tried to proactively get in touch to do this there would be no issue, but the duplicity, incompetent customer service that never answer questions posed, and the refusal to address the problems mean that I no longer want anything to do with this company.
It's a shame, because the staff at Empire still write a wonderful magazine. Sadly, their publisher is making me no longer wish to purchase it.
