Have been a fan of G&B 70% for many years & sadly the quality has gone downhill rapidly. There is no hit of cocoa anymore & it tastes synthetic & waxy, almost with a hint of ginger?? Such a shame G&B... See more

Information provided by various external sources
Green & Black’s was founded on the Portobello Road by husband and wife team Craig Sams & Jo Fairley. In 1991 Craig was sent a sample of chocolate by a peanut supplier. Lifetime chocoholic Jo later discovered the chocolate unattended and promptly ate it. She’d never tasted anything quite like it and was sure other chocolate fanatics would feel the same! And with that, the couple began making delicious chocolate

Quick efficient surpass expectations service
I made an error in the order process. Sent an email advising of my error and Becky Dobson quickly and resolved it so I can have a happy son next week. The best chocolate ever!! Blessings
£4 refund for £16 product,is that a joke?
Chocolate in a selection of miniatures box had melted and was a mess in the paper.Sent pictures to customer services, packing details etc.and was sent a £4 voucher!Retail price of a replacement box was £16.Took 4 weeks to arrive and in that time I had to chase up my refund,it wasn’t worth the effort.I should have just posted the inedible box of goo back to them. What has happened to this company lately, shocking.
Green and Black's Raspberry and Hazelnut chocolate …
Green and Black's Raspberry and hazelnut chocolate was a very disappointing purchase. Only the package tells you what it is as the taste most certainly doesn't. Can't taste the raspberries or hazelnut and the chocolate is poor. Tesco version now sadly seems to be discontinued knocks this into a cocked hat. Having sold out to a multinational has reduced quality but not the price.
Used to love it, not so sure now.
Used to love it, something has changed! Texture and taste just seems to have worsened to being more like a cheap own brand chocolate. In fact many own brands are far better for my money now. Shame!
Organic but not for me
Organic but not for me, purchased the tasting collection.
Not impressed at all, quite bitter tasting, won’t be purchasing again.
Used to love dark chocolate, unfortunately this brand has put me off
Trying to fool the buyer
Not sure this post is worth the effort however I’ll go ahead . The size has been reduced to 90g but the price remains the same they must think those of us who buy their product are illiterate. Also creamy milk has disappeared off the shelf and you can only buy butterscotch at 1 of the top named supermarkets which I’ll not bother naming as only those who can afford to shop there can which says it all when G&B sell there wide range selection there. Back to Lindt for me
Used to be lovely
Used to be lovely, now tastes cheap. Really wish it hadn't been swept up by Cadbury/Kraft and truly ruined.
Not what I remember
Recently purchased several bars of Green & Blacks chocolate but I have to say that I'm disappointed. The quality is not what I remember. The bars are far too sweet for starters, but there is also an unpleasant after-taste which makes me suspect the cocoa beans are not the best quality.
Organic box
Chocolate flavours either too sweet or too bitter. Will never buy again.
Poor service all round.
If i could give minus stars, I would.
I have tried to place an order via their website for over 2 days without success. The first time, it crashed every time I tried to pay (hopefully have not been charged several times!) and I have had no response to my request for assistance. Today, the website crashed on checking out and I couldn't progress the order. It's a website that is clearly not fit for purpose, but worse is the extremely poor customer service and delivery. Having managed to place an order around new year, their delivery company couldn't get through the gate of the recipient and phoned to say this. I asked them to leave the item with the neighbour and the man from the delivery company said he would but then I got a message within seconds to say they could not deliver, so he clearly couldn't be bothered. Furthermore, the recipient then arranged for delivery to be made to a local shop. A message confirming delivery was received, but when she got to the shop (after walking a couple of miles in the snow), the shopkeeper told her that the delivery man had told him that he couldn't leave the item as his handheld scanner was broken. On contacting G&B, they apologised, but said the item could not be delivered again on that day. Eventually asked for a refund - they didn't offer one - and had to insist that I be refunded immediately and not after their questionable delivery company returned the item to them.
I have asked G&B to close my account. I will now just shop elsewhere, as my time is valuable and not there to waste on a service I believe to be unacceptable. Do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere.
My husband and I love your chocolates…
My husband and I love your chocolates He likes the dark, I prefer the milk, butterscotch and toffee. I have noticed in the taster selection box, which I often buy, you have recipes. However I have noticed in your Gingerbread recipe there is no ginger also the Coffee Sticky Pudding there is no coffee.
Is this not misleading information for anyone wishing to make these items??
Absolutely useless website
Absolutely useless website, charged me twice for an order and didn't even send a single confirmation email. So they've literally just stolen 70 euro off of me. And of course they don't work weekends so I have to wait until Monday for a reply. It's 2021 - if a website can't even put through a generic transaction, they don't deserve our business. Buy from literally anywhere else, disgusting.
Ready and willing to help
My son's delivery was attempted and because his doorbell didn't work he didn't receive it. I emailed Green and Blacks and they checked into this - and he got his delivery. Great to know a company replies so promptly and is willing to help resolve an issue. Love Green and Blacks organic chocolate.
Such a useless website
Such a useless website. Tried three times to buy some £35 chocolates online and each time the transaction failed for no apparent reason. Was charged each time and received no confirmation of the order. They said they've refunded me but I haven't received it yet so now I'm over £100 down and am having to buy the chocolates from somewhere else instead. Would not recommend.
Ordered a hamper on their site 14 th…
Ordered a hamper on their site 14 th December and money was taken from my account right away, no delivery arrived now 19th December so phoned this morning as after 3 emails sent to them had no reply. Was told the order hadn't gone through and I asked why money had come off my account if it hadn't gone through. Was told I had been emailed which I have still not received and she would resend email still not through. Then said I will get refund in up to 5 days time. Poor service and even worse customer service Avoid at all costs
Not delivered and customer service shocking
I ordered a £100 hamper as a gift for someone which did not arrive on the day it should or the next day , and hopefully tomorrow ! As it has gone missing I had to ask if received so now the surprise is ruined. I called and was in the queue however it just went to an engaged tone after 10 minutes , I then had a very unhelpful webchat with Conor who dropped in some sarcasm for good measure just to make me even more angry.
VERY NICE CHOCOLATE GREAT PRICES
I have bought chocolate from this shop in the last 3 years and I am very satisfied. The best chocolate ever.. I can only recommand this web-shop.
I live in DK and the delivery is fast.
Avoid Green & Blacks personalisation gift service
I ordered four bars of personalised chocolate from Green & Blacks website. I clearly wrote the Christmas message on their form, which was double checked before checkout. On delivery I opened the package to find that the Christmas messages were not as I had typed them. They had completely messed up the layout of the print. These were meant as gifts to family members who I will not be able to spend Christmas with due to lockdown. I cannot give these chocolate bars as they are, they have completely spoiled a special gift. I did contact customer services but the response was vague and uninterested. I don't think I will be able to return these bars of chocolate for a refund, so that means £20.00 flushed down the toilet. A complete waste of time and money. Very very disappointing.
I will not be using their personalisation service ever again. I advise others not to use their service either.
Unbelievably poor customer service
Unbelievably poor customer service. Ordered online and was concerned to receive no email acknowledgment, no invoice although money was taken from credit card immediately. Tried to participate in online chat but was informed ‘We are offline’. This was 11am on a Monday. Then phoned only to be placed on hold for ten minutes after which time phone was cut off. This happened four times. I appreciate COVID has had an impact on everyone’s lives but I cannot understand why an email confirming order has not been sent. Is the prospective recipient going to receive her birthday present or not? I have no idea. An absolute shambles.
Greedy !!
Yet another greedy company
reducing their bars from 100g to 90g but guess what....no reduced price !
From now on I'll buy Lindt choc...unless they do the same of course.
