H2 was excellent

H2 was excellent. I urgently needed the boiler replaced in my tenanted property and H2 got it installed in 1 day instead of the 5 day norm. Thank you

AVOID USING AT ALL COSTS

AVOID USING AT ALL COSTS - Rogue Trader - Incompetent.
Three Engineers visits from H2 PROPERTY SERVICES three differents views from all three engineers. The charged fee for each visit to locate a problem to total of £334.14 and yet unable to fix the fault. Disgraceful.

As much as we hate getting bad reviews, we cannot refund customers just to avoid them. We hold NICEIC accreditation and all our electricians are 18th edition qualified and all hold City and Guilds 2395 Testing and Inspecting qualifications. The first electrician, Mark has worked for H2 for over 10 years and Rafi who also attended is our NICEIC Qualified Supervisor. He is inspected annually and is as qualified and experienced as you can get. As such I disagree that we are rogue traders and we are certainly not incompetent. We are a family run business and have been serving London successfully for over 15 years.

We can only do jobs properly and not take short cuts. As is the case with this customer unfortunately some customers look for professional advice and workmanship but don't want to pay for it. Having come in after another electrician we gave this customer the correct advice and did the works we could within the scope of regulations and advised what further work was required to resolve further issues. It is unfortunate that this customer does not want to accept he has some issues with his electrics and it will cost money to properly carry out the repair work but we wish him luck.

Efficient and courteous

Arranged for two teams to do two different jobs at the same time to minimise disruption to our tenants. They arrived on time and did the jobs efficiently and courteously. Recommended.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

UPDATE!!

I am adding further argument as this was done 3 weeks prior to moving into an empty flat - how a boiler could fail within that time frame and with no one living here. Also I have the quote of £3000 and have attached it cut and pasted below

QUOTE FOR REMEDIAL WORKS:
- LABOUR: 4-5 Hours £85 + VAT per hour to investigate the bonding, please note the quotes are subject to change due to what we find on the investigation of the bonding.

(total £510)

Fuseboard Quote:
- Once the bonding is sorted. We can replace the fuse board.
- The fuse board is old and obsolete. The SWA cable feeding the fuse board is in poor condition and has been terminated poorly.
- Recommend cutting the SWA down and reterminating correctly. As this will make the cable short, recommend installing some sort of metal adaptable box/or isolator. Then running new tails to a new 5 way CCU with RCBOs.
- LABOUR: £1,100 + VAT (1 and a half days)
- MATERIALS: £780 + VAT
Supply and Fit £1880 + VAT

(Total:£2,256)

complete total- £2766, so ya, not £3000 but defintiely close and way more than what I have been quoted. AVOID!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Hired to ensure gas and electricty service/certificate before exchanging on flat. spent over £500. Told GAs was safe and boiler was working and serviced. Told electricity failed and would cost £3000 to fix. Moved in to find boiler not working. Called and they refused to send anyone despite having small child unless I agreed to pay another £90+. Had 3 more quotes for electricity since this and all well under £600. NO customer service

We sincerely regret that despite our best efforts, we have been given this review. Our clients of sixteen years will know that we are always quick and professional and fairly priced. We do not claim to be the cheapest but our staff are properly trained, experienced in their fields and in this instance our electricians are NICEIC Approved and working within the proper guidelines of electrical safety. We cannot comment on other quotes the customer has been given as we have not seen them or what they are quoting to do. We gave the customer our quote to do the work required and she chose not to use us.

AVOID USING AT ALL COSTS

AVOID USING AT ALL COSTS. WORKMEN DAMAGE YOUR HOUSE AND SOIL YOUR BATHROOM

I used this company to carry out gas and electric checks on my property prior to selling it.

I’m absolutely shocked that 2 things happened.

1. The workman used my toilet and left it soiled. I don’t want to provide details, I’m sure imagination is enough
2. The was damage to a kitchen work surface that had to be repaired at a cost of £180

There was no one in the property during this time except the workman from H2, meaning it was obvious where the damage came from. Despite this H2 refused to cover any of the damage to the property as their workman said he didn’t do it. They didn’t even offer to cover a portion of it. They did however offer to have my toilet cleaned for me (I refused to take this because I was so insulted by their refusal to pay for damage).

There is a no way I would recommend using this company. Clearly mistakes happen and damage can happen too, I don’t mind that. But refusing to accept responsibility for it is incredibly poor and unprofessional.

We are very sorry to receive this poor review of our service. H2 Property Services goes into and carries out work in approx 500 different London properties every week of the year and have done so successfully for the past 15 years. We can only do this by taking care and responsibility when carrying out our work and doing it professionally and well. Something I believe we do and which we are very proud of, whilst always trying to improve our service year on year. We are aware of this customer's complaints and take all complaints seriously. We have apologised properly for the electrician leaving any evidence, however small, that he used the bathroom. Having seen a photo (provided by the customer) I do however completely disagree with the implication of how the bathroom was left or that "imagination is required". Unfortunately when our employees are in properties for extended periods of time the use of the loo is sometimes required. With regard to the kitchen unit, the electrician has been spoken to and has denied any knowledge of the damage concerned - he was only in the kitchen to install a CO alarm by the boiler and a heat detector on the ceiling which he used his step ladder to install. Even with the threat of a negative review being posted by a customer we cannot always just agree to pay for repairs that are not to do with us which is what was demanded of us in this case. We remain very sorry that we were not able to resolve this amicably with the customer despite our best efforts to do so.

Boiler Repair

Having received 2 large quotes from other plumbing companies to rectify a boiler issue (£600 and £800), we sought a third opinion from H2. A very personable Boiler Engineer called Paul attended site (on time) and found that the problem was easy to fix (£115), and carried out the work immediately. So far no problems and very pleased with the service.

Avoid at all costs

UPDATED REVIEW PLEASE READ THIS WILL SAVE YOU STRESS AND £1000'S!

Summary:
H2 attended my property twice to solve a leak, in the professional opinion of their plumber Simon, the shower was leaking, trusting this expert opinion I asked H2 to fix the 'leaking shower', H2 proceeded to fix the damaged 'shower', which caused damage to the tiles and subsequently no leak was found. After complaining and only to be ignored by H2, I finally got another appointment weeks later, this time I asked my father to attend alongside the plumber. He did some simple due-diligence, and looked at the most common areas where you get leaks. He checked the toilet, and found the leak within moments of being in the property. All that was needed was a new part!!!

H2 have caused me a mountain of stress (which is ongoing), unnecessary bills, loss of income. This problem should have been resolved on the first visit back on 7th August. I lost one month's rental income, had to pay for work to be completed where they did NOTHING! I have a damaged shower and keep getting ignored by H2.

H2 are unprofessional and unethical, I would not trust them to do anything in your property!

I have contacted both WHICH and NIC to let them know about my issue.

I am also taken them to court to get my costs reimbursed.

Please please DO NOT USE them.

Original Review
A leak was found in one of our properties so the management company instructed H2 to find the leak. A 2.5 hour appointment led the engineer to confirm that the shower was causing the leak and that the tiling would need to be removed. I booked a second appointment with H2 to get the problem fixed; a 3 hour appointment charged at £85 per hour + VAT concluded that, that was actually not the fault, and the shower was not causing the leak, and thus the water could be switched back on. Two days later the leak reappears, all in all I’ve spent £600+ with H2 to be left with a leak, and tenant that can no longer stay in the property as legally we can’t turn the water on. I also question why no isolation valves were used for the shower to help discover if that was the actual issue.
All I can say is H2 to not care at all; I now have cosmetic damage to the shower, lost rental income for 2 weeks and had to pay for work that hasn’t resolved the problem. I’ve complaint and not heard anything from H2, how can you leave a customer without any water? I am also disputing the payment and will be taken H2 to court if this is not resolved ASAP.
The company is unprofessional and unethical, avoid at all costs. This is not how you do business, especially as a family company.

Dear Rebecca

We are very sorry to receive your review. We always get back to our customers if there is problem and seek to resolve any issue as quickly as possible so it is unfortunate that since receiving it we have found email correspondence from you in our spam. Had you called us, we would have been able to deal with this immediately for you.

As you can see from our other customers' reviews, we are not unprofessional, unethical or to be avoided at all costs; we work extremely hard to provide good customer service to all our customers and have excellent feedback.

We have tried to get in touch with you by telephone since receiving this review, please call us on 020 7751 3344 when you get our messages so we can assist you.

I had a great experience with H2…

I had a great experience with H2 Property Services! After looking for a plumber to change our kitchen tap in the kitchen for a long time I almost gave up finding someone with a reasonable quote until I found this company. Liam was very efficient and nice, the price was good and best of all - he sorted the new tap out within minutes! Very happy with the service and will happily use you again.

Very happy with H2 Property Services

Very happy with H2 Property Services. My customer service experience was excellent. The staff (Guy, John, Faye, Darren and Tom) were helpful, kind, polite and professional. No problem, no nonsense company, which points to good leadership. Happily recommend H2 Property Services anytime.

What would be great of all companies is if there would be post installation quality checks on works completed. Also/or a checklist for workers to do on site immediately after they've finished a job.

Great service and advice.Problem solved over the phone at no cost - Thank you H2

Rang up H2 after a boiler went on the blink during the cold last week. As you can imagine i was not the only person having problems with a boiler so was told that it was unlikely that they could get an engineer out to me that day. i must have sounded disappointed because the very helpful women at the end of the line proceeded to ask me a few questions regarding the problem, i explained that i wss getting no hot water. She asked if i was in a ground floor flat, i said yes, she then asked me if the boiler was making a gurgling sound. i said yes. She then advised that the condensate pipe was probably frozen, all i needed to do was use warm water on the pipe outside. She then suggested a website to show me what to do. Problem solved, no cost to me and a very happy customer. So a big thank you to H2 to helping me out at no cost! Simon

Just brilliant!

H2 are a consistently reliable company offering a wide range of services including plumbing, heating and electrician services! Over the years, I think we have probably tested all of these trades and tradesmen! The staff in the office are friendly and honest and the tradesmen themselves are always polite and respectful in our home as well as prompt! I’ve never felt ripped off by H2 and that is a compliment in this industry! Recommend with 5 stars!

Dear Susan

Thank you for sending this review. We are being inundated today with people in similar situations with frozen condense pipes so we are pleased we have been able to help you. Although condensing boilers are so much more efficient than their conventional counterparts when turning fuel into usable heat (less fuel is required overall to heat both your water and your home) this is a common problem when the weather is uncommonly severe as it is today.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Best wishes

Be careful what you buy

After writing my review I was told by the manager John in an email:

“I would kindly ask you to remove your unwarranted criticism of H2 in your review on Trust Pilot so that we can resolve this for you. On removal of this review, I will happily void the charge for today's visit.”

This is my review updated in order to be subjective and as fair as possible.

I had 2 boilers installed 4.5 years ago. They have given me multiple problems which have both caused damage to my home and leave me with no heat in this extremely cold weather.
The equipment is out of warranty. I wish I had been sold equipment for my home that did not have such potential for issues, especially in low temperatures. My problem with the company is with the sales department, as I wish I had been sold equipment that worked for a longer period without any headaches especially when paying a premium. Over the years, I have spent a small fortune on equipment and visits from H2. I have owned multiple homes, and I have never had so many issues with a heating system.
H2 Property Services does have very nice technicians though who are always a pleasure to talk to. The company does not accept any responsibility for recommending, installing and selling me a system which leaves me and, apparently others, as seen below, in a very uncomfortable situation. This is very frustrating.

We are liaising with Hugo directly to try to resolve this complaint and have offered to waive the fee for our engineer's visit yesterday in order to try and do so.

Unfortunately, the whole of London is suffering extreme low temperatures and snow this week and our phone lines are blocked up this morning with people calling in with frozen condense pipes, several have good lagging on their pipes and they are still frozen. Condense pipes are the narrow plastic pipes coming from the boiler to the nearest drain and if there is a long run on the exterior of the property they should be properly lagged. If the lagging is worn or no longer in place it will not be able to provide protection against this weather and the boiler will lock out. Even with protection though we are still finding these pipes are freezing today.
