Had two new tyres fitted today by Vish

Had two new tyres fitted today by Vish. Couldn't fault him and his work. Amazing service, very helpful. I had to go for a 5 minute drive after to check the tyre pressures were all good, he even topped up my screen wash for me. Thank you so much for your excellent service.

The worst customer experience I’ve had…

The worst customer experience I’ve had in many years. Failed to arrive for tyre fitting, failed to contact me and then failed to provide any information when I contacted them via phone. No apology, no offer of compensation for wasted time, just an attempt to rebook. I’ve taken a refund and gone elsewhere.

Laughable, non-existent customer service!

Halfords mobile fitting service is fine, no issues. However, after 18 months and 8000 miles all four tyres have perished with cracks between the treads Not quite an MOT failure but require replacing nonetheless. I was advised to contact Halfords Head Office because even the garage manager thought this shouldn't be the case.
How impossible this proved to be.
Online chat is with an AI assistant. Great if your complaint is less than three words long. If you can spare the time a human eventually appears to tell you nothing can be done but to call 03301359779.
This number leads you down a myriad of press 1 for, press 2 for and ultimately to India. The CS agent basically said nothing could be done, not convinced she understood a word I said tbh.
CS email address is dead.
Website help pages are dead.
My custom with Halfords is now dead.

Quick to take the money - quick to cancel you!

2 bad experiences with dash cam fitting. 3 years ago in store had 2 appointments cancelled (half day off work) with no advance warning until arrived at store. Then got a parking fine because car was at retail park for so long for the fitting. Last week dash cam fitting cancelled with 30 mins notice, completely dismissive voicemail left, meant a tortuous phne call trail to rebook. Fitter didnt even turn up at the agreed time for the this 'home' fitting either.

Bunch of crooks. Pay for something, Don't get it anf don't get YOUR money back!

Absolutely appalling, don't trust them at all now. I ordered a tyre rotation, the mechanic did NOT do it as he said it was not needed. He said the £20 would be refunded. Well, it hasn't been and I now have a fight on with these CROOKS who think robbing £20 here and there makes good business sense, well that pathetic low life strategy has lost you a good customer for sure abs I'm hoping this review will ensure other 'customers' are alerted to your low life activities. Give my money back, answer my e-mail, answer your phones, stop ignoring me. Even the CEO has ignored me, Pathetic outfit.

Never again ….!!!!!!!

Try to fiiting tyres from tuesday ( 26.08) and told by guy from office they aloud come to fix it on monday 01.09,Paid 20£ fees for
Mobile service , same day 01.09 my mot expire , told that from tuesday. Noone to help. So bad company never again !

Tyre Fitting

I always use these guys,such a great service. 15 minutes & 2 new front tyres on. If this was a garage,you would wait most of the day to get your car back & the existing tyres they fitted,the tread lasted 2 years. Thats why your best to get a decent make.

Never again!

I have used the Halfords mobile tyre fitting service a couple of times before, and had great service from Jack (the fitter) each time. Yesterday, I had to phone customer services as I wanted 4 tyres for my car and 1 for my wife’s car (same make, model and year) and I wanted to book an appointment for 3 weeks time. The website wouldn’t allow me to book that far in advance and it wouldn’t apply the 15% discount to 5 tyres, just 4, as one was being fitted on a different car (same model of car, address and appointment). I phoned ‘customer service’, and after waiting more than 15 minutes for someone to answer, the lady I spoke to wasn’t very helpful, didn’t understand the problem and said that she couldn’t do anything to help! I asked to speak to a manager / supervisor, but she said that I couldn’t and all she could do was to fill in a complaint form, and that someone should get back to me. She asked me to wait on the phone while she completed the form. After more than 5 minutes of waiting on hold again, I gave up and ended the call. That was 30 minutes of my life wasted! I then contacted a local tyre fitter, arranged for 5 tyres to be fitted on the date I wanted and actually saved over £200! I won’t be using Halfords again!

Had two tyres fitted at home today.Great price.Excellent service from booking to fitting. The technician was friendly and informative. Hardly had to move from my armchair.Will certainly use again.Thank you.

Waste of my time

Ordered 2 tyres to be fitted at home yesterday. Also needed them to remove 2 locking wheelnuts in order to change the tyres. It cost £45 just for this service where other garages don't charge.
On the day the tracking didnt change so had no idea when he would arrive. When did arrive he said he had no record of the wheel nut removal so couldn't do it. Not his fault that the part wasn't on his van. "Human error". Can come back Tuesday. Not happy at all so I cancelled and booked elsewhere.

Tyres changed By Pratik from Halfords mobile tyre fitting

Today (17th August 2025) I had my tyres fitted by Pratik from the Halfords Mobile Tyre Fitting team and I am beyond impressed. From start to finish, his service was faultless.

Pratik is an absolute credit to Halfords – polite, professional, respectful, and genuinely one of the most helpful people I’ve ever dealt with. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He went above and beyond, even taking extra time to explain my tyre choices clearly, showing just how knowledgeable and skilled he is.

This wasn’t just good service it was first-class, 5-star treatment. If every technician was like Pratik, Halfords would have a customer for life. I cannot recommend him and the Halfords mobile fitting service highly enough. 5 stars without hesitation!

First and last time I booked something…

First and last time I booked something with them. I had today appointment for tire change. They’re specialists came broke wheel nut key and said can’t be replaced because it’s overtide.i call to customer service they said I will get refund if I can just buy this key in BMW and after specialist will come back.when I bought the key i call once again to book new appointment they told me I will not get any refund. And specialist it’s too far to come back to me. He took tire with him what I paid already Customer service telling me I need wait till next day.they just waste my time and money. Now I cancelled fitting tire just want them back because I paid for it. Really unprofessional customer service!

Best to stay away

Booked online for a mobile fitting of dashcam, 1st appointment cancelled and re-booked. No show for 2nd appointment and no call or email. Have called Halfords customer services everyday for 5 days to find out what is happening about my order and am going around in circles. Raised a complaint and not heard anything back. Feels like hitting head into a brick wall. What a nightmare

DO NOT RELY ON HALFORDS

Booked and paid a tyre supply and fitting for 48 hrs time at workplace, as the car was not driveable. The appointment was confirmed by email. 24 hrs later received a phone call to cancel. Adrian, from the Greenford depot explained that there had been an IT issue and the tyres ordered were stuck at Southall. I offered to collect them and meet the fitter at the appointed time. Apparently this was not possible.

I asked for a total refund, which he said he would do straight away. Five days later on ringing Halfords Customer Service found that the refund had not been initiated.

He also said he would get Michael Palmer or Carl Baker (Area Managers) to call me back. They haven’t!

Absolute dreadful service.

HALFORDS CAN NOT BE RELIED UPON.

Life threatening Halfords replaced my…

Life threatening Halfords replaced my back tyres not securing the bolts resulting in my wheel coming off on the M25 with my 2 children in the car, jeopardising our life’s
Never use Halfords who employ a bunch of kids , from tyre fitter to directors to keep their costs down.
For putting my families life at risk they are offering what they call “a gesture of goodwill” which is only 66% uplift on the cost of the tyres. Basically throwing salt into your wounds

I was between a rock and a hard place

I was between a rock and a hard place, had a puncture but no spare wheel, my roadside rescue would not come out due to no spare wheel. When I asked around I found out that if I used the emergency Mercedes kit, which floods the tyre with sealant, nobody would repair it, under the law, so my three week old tyre would be scrapped!

Only place I found wanted £150 to come and repair tyre. Eventually stumbled upon Halfords mobil service, but as this was Saturday, could not come out until Monday 14th July - thankfully I was at home and had use of second car.

Monday came and young fitter took charge and in hardly any time at all had tyre fixed( he told me he'd plugged from the inside and not via the tread which is best and safest way). Charged £50. Great service and an outstanding young guy who is a credit to the organisation. I would not hesitate to use the service again and would recommend them to all.

Day 3 for waiting for the Mobile tyre…

Day 3 for waiting for the Mobile tyre van .

After not turning up on the first day . They promised me a time slot for 8am to 10am priority slot two days time . No one has turned up . And after 3 phone calls , I’m told that the job has been closed down . Rang up again and told they are due out tomorrow. So 4 days to change two tyres . I’ll be reporting back to my company about this as . They are the new fleet tyre service.

No show for time slot appointment

If they'd turned up to the appointment I might have been able to review them!
No phone call to cancel, tracking not working and the hub not answering the call center staff to give an update when i chased.
When I finally got an update the 3rd time I called 2 1/2 hours after my appointment slot was told the technician had skipped my job, no notes, no call just didn't bother to come.
First rearranged appointment slot is for 3 days time! My cars not driveable as the tyre is completely flat, thankfully I can rearrange to work from home.
