Reconditioned stairlift I had a few different stairlift…
I had a few different stairlift companies come and give me quotes and their different options I chose Holton as being the best stairlift solution for my needs. I’ve had it for a week now and the difference it has made for me particularly going up stairs has been transformative as I have pulmonary fibrosis It’s brilliant the service from the salesman to the engineer who fitted the stairlift all on his own was very polite, clean and tidy and I couldn’t believe how quickly he fitted it!! Great service and price for my reconditioned stairlift

Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. I contacted Halton to request a manual winder as the stairlift they installed for the previous home owner stopped working and I needed urgent access to a cupboard it was blocking. They offered a call out for £200 for 15 minutes excluding parts. They said they did not usually sell winders separately but reluctantly agreed they would check with an engineer and call me back if I preferred.
Meanwhile I spoke to a local company who were extremely helpful, using photos I sent to identify the lift and advise on how to move it safely. Problem solved in 15 minutes at no cost….but still no call back from Halton a week later. Thank goodness we are not reliant on it.

The account was archived in the original users’ details to which we had difficulty identifying yourself to provide a call back. Unfortunately, with the easter bank holidays, the member of the team who you spoke to was not available, therefore we have only been able to trace you from your review and the member of the team returning to work. As per your review, the lift was installed for a previous user back in 2020, and we have had no contact from them since the installation.
As there is no service contract in place, we did provide the cost of a standard callout and gave an indication of potential costings to get the stairlift working again but from your call, the stairlift is not used regularly and you are considering having the stairlift removed. As independent stockist, there are different variations on the hand-winders for your stairlift model, we needed to investigate further to ensure we were providing the correct hand-winder for the stairlift in situ or indeed if an alternative solution that did not require the purchase of the specific tool.
Again, please accept our apologies for the delay in coming back to you. I note that from your review, your issue has since been resolved but should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Fantastic service from Halton Sales Rep
In July 2024, without warning,
I became disabled by osteoporosis. In the middle of the night four of my thoracic vertebrae fractured.
I was fit and healthy aged 68 but didn't think about the menopause and thought I had 'sailed through' that time of life.
I had a very comfortable Halton stairlift fitted in the autumn of 2024. In my home the sales consultant provided a fantastic and sympathetic service.
I wish to inform him that I joined a special gym in March 2025 and quickly hired that gym's rehab specialist. Thanks to his expertise in musculoskeletal conditions, I now have full mobility. My back is very strong again and I have returned to walking up steps and stairs everywhere!

Halton Stairlifts excellent service.
James called to let us know the time he would arrive and was spot on with that. He did an excellent job in changing the wiring to the stairlift and ensured the landing carpet was properly replaced in the doorways. When he left he cleared all evidence that work had been done to modify the stairlift. He is an excellent representative for Halton stairlifts.

A really positive experience from…
A really positive experience from dealing with Megan who came out to do the initial survey and quote to Shaun who fitted the stairlift a few days later.
Shaun arrived on time and told it would take around 4 hours to fit and talk my mother and I through how to use it (very straightforward), and show us the user manual.
