Complete again …

After finding the website being unable to take my order for a personalised bauble with my wife’s name on it, for several weeks, I received an email from a kind young lady stating that the site had been closed temporarily after the festive season (to allow coworkers to take some time off and recuperate). She invited me to do one more attempt to order my bauble, now she got everything back up and running! Which I did……the lovely bauble arrived today in our home in Holland and we’re very blessed to have the four baubles for our family complete again. Can’t wait for Christmas and seeing them gracing our tree once more. Thanks so much guys!! Merry Christmas to you all.

Just the BEST all across the board

Beautiful products which were beautifully wrapped in their own personal bags, well packaged to prevent any damage during delivery.
I also needed assistance due to an accidental double order. The customer service was brilliant and sorted the problem in a few minutes, including the necessary refund.
I have used this company a lot and will continue to do so for all my Christmas (and other) needs.

I ordered a Christmas gift from The Handmade Christmas Co.

I was not satisfied with the product and contacted my bank regarding the issue. My bank (Barclays) processed a refund on my behalf.

After this refund, the company used my card details again without my knowledge or consent and charged additional amounts to my card.

Barclays confirmed that this was an unauthorised transaction and refunded the money to me.

I am very concerned that my card details were stored and misused. I would advise other customers to be extremely careful when shopping from this website.

Hello Ali,

We need to correct a few points here as your review contains untrue statements.

1) The reason given for the chargeback has changed.

In your review you say you initiated it because you were “not satisfied with the product”. However, in the chargeback and your emails at the time, the issue raised was non-delivery.

2) The order was delivered.

We have full proof of delivery including a delivery photo and GPS coordinates confirming delivery to the address provided at checkout.

We emailed you with this evidence and asked you to come back to us if there was any issue. We did not hear back and you did not withdraw the dispute.

3) A bank refund does not make goods free.

Goods supplied and delivered must be paid for. Where a chargeback is raised incorrectly (for example, where delivery is proven), we will follow up to ensure payment is made and we will seek to recover any direct fees the chargeback causes us to incur.

4) Payment security:

We do not “store and misuse” card details. Payments are processed via our payment provider under strict security controls.

If you believe there is a genuine product-quality issue, we’re happy to review it properly.

Otherwise, we will continue to pursue settlement for the delivered goods and associated chargeback costs.

We have also followed up via email in regards to this.

Order was fine but business practices concern me

I placed an order with this company and unfortunately won’t be using them again.

After my purchase, I became aware via social media that they regularly submit trade mark/IP complaints against other small sellers in the same space, including products that appear to have existed long before their registration. It feels less like fair competition and more like using marketplace systems to remove others.

As a small business owner myself, this didn’t sit right with me.

Based on my experience, I wouldn’t order from them again and would suggest others do their research first.

We want to address the point you’ve raised. Like many small businesses, we deal with constant copying of our designs and branded products, especially during peak Christmas season. We have a legal right to protect our intellectual property, and we do so in the same way any responsible brand would.

We use a third-party Intellectual property agency to monitor our trademarks and make reports to platforms like Etsy. The platform then decides whether to accept or reject that report, and sellers also have a route to dispute and appeal.

We’re not interested in “removing others” for the sake of it, and we don’t have any incentive to target genuine, original small businesses.

Out of their depth with rude staff and false promises.

Placed a corporate order for hampers that felt like taking blood from a stone, promised the world but may as well of done it ourselves. chased and chased for their invoice that needed to be settled before they dispatched. Told gift cards could be customised then their printer left nothing but lines through it making it look a mess, i wouldn't bother doing this at all, plus they are stuck on the outside of the box on the side so not actually in your hamper and quite easily missed. No tracking information provided so no confirmation your item is received or not and when chased they state well they havnt had any back. Exceptionally slow to respond, if at all and never when they promise. Multiple staff are rude.

Raised a complaint and had nothing but the finger pointed at us despite having all calls recorded and emails from this company. Highly unprofessional and simply out of their depth at Christmas which they should literally be well suited for given their branding. Joke of a company with no loyalty to customers and their order which is a shame as the hampers are of good quality but as always when it goes wrong its about how they fix it and frankly, they simply don't care.

***update to original review given Handmade Christmas Company wish to spread untruthful comments in a poor attempt to invalidate review. despite SEVERAL companies stating pretty much like for like feedback. If this was my company i would be looking internally before trying to blame others. its simply BAD BUSINESS!!!!

In addition, in an attempt to have my review removed, HCC complained to Trust Pilot that my review was false. Evidence provided and the review reuploaded, they complained again stating my review was defamatory to the business. also not true and once reviewed by Trustpilot this was also reuploaded. Truth hurts I guess!

For your own learning and apparent inability to see the facts for yourself I will address each of your points providing factual accounts and information.

chasing invoice - Called a total of 3 times for your invoice. 01/12/2025 at 1307 Billy promised the invoice would be received by COB, 1pm latest the following day. (3 min 32) No invoice received so called 03/12/2025 at 1230 spoke to Joseph chasing and promised it would be with us in 30 min. (7min 16) No invoice as promised so called again 03/12/2025 at 1355 and apparently they had 'just sent it' (call last 4 min 13 sec)

Raising an invoice at 1352 is not getting it done as promised on two separate occasions. I'm also not sure why you feel you would need to chase me for payment? I paid it just over an hour later.

Gift Card - Called 20-11-2025 at 1040 spoke to Joseph discussing what we can have on the card. states our print is custom. Asked if we can have our logo and told yes, told that they have had people send in entire designs in the past. (7 min 37) Regrettably I trusted what they stated and the quality of this was diabolical, poor printing of the logo meant several lines through the logo, highly unprofessional and embarrassing to have a couple of clients make me aware knowing this is not the standard they are used to from my business.

At no point was there any discussion either verbal or written between ourselves and this company discussing 'custom printed cards' this is entirely fabricated in their response and would welcome their evidence. I will remove this section if they can.

I did criticise the placement of the card. I had a Hamper delivered personally. The gift card placement was completely missed and not actually in or by the hamper in the box at all and was instead attached to the side of the box as if it appears like an invoice. one would argue entirely that its better to place the gift card in the actual gift as they open it. your points makes ZERO sense especially when you put your own marketing within the gift!! go figure?

Tracking - It is 03/02/2026 that I write this update. Still have not received tracking information for any of the parcels. Despite Director Louis confirming that this would be sent following review of our complaint. call made on 08-01-2025 at 1344 (call time 2min) just because no one has raised a failed delivery does not mean a parcel has been received. nor was I asking that you track the parcels. you could have sent this information and we could have tracked them. As you constantly have shown, getting information from you is like getting blood from a stone.

Clearly a difference in opinions regarding your staff. I have no need to make this up and your other reviews cohobate my experience.

As a regulated firm we are obliged to record all calls, youre dealing with B2B so why this is a shocker to you, i dont know. i encourage you to raise your concerns to the ICO if you deem necessary.

You have no interest in putting right just arguing & pointing the finger. the review will stand and all will see!

Thanks for taking the time to update your review.

We’re not going to re-argue this in public indefinitely, but we do need to correct the record because your updated version still repeats claims that don’t match what was agreed or what happened.

On the invoice point: you’ve now reframed this as “we had to call three times to obtain the invoice”, while still implying we chased you for payment. We did not chase you for payment. The invoice was issued on 3 December and paid the same afternoon. If your criticism is that you wanted the invoice earlier, that’s a different complaint, and one we’ve already responded to directly. It does not justify stating that we “chased and chased” you for an invoice or for payment.

On the gift message card: our position has not changed. The complimentary gift message card is a simple text insert. It is not a bespoke, colour-managed printed stationery product, and we do not provide free design services.

Where you asked about adding a logo, we advised it should be black and white on that standard format unless you were ordering fully bespoke printed cards (which we can arrange at additional cost, with artwork supplied or design work commissioned).

You chose not to proceed with a paid bespoke option and you did not supply a finished design.

Trying to present a complimentary text insert as though it was sold as a custom branded print product is simply inaccurate.

You’ve also criticised the placement of the card. We place the message so it’s visible and associated with the delivery, rather than being buried in packaging. It’s inside a red documents enclosed envelope which clearly states “Gift message enclosed”.

Reasonable people can disagree on preference, but that does not make it “deceptive” and it was never represented as a premium branded card solution.

On tracking: tracking exists for every parcel once handed to the courier. If you have not received it, we will resend it immediately on request via email. What we will not do is accept a public allegation that “no tracking exists” when it does, or allow an implication that non-complaints from recipients means we’re claiming delivery certainty. That’s not what we said, and it’s not how courier networks work.

On your comments about recorded calls: your review states calls were recorded. Many firms record calls, but it is also standard practice to inform the other party at the time.

We were not informed on calls with your team. If you are asserting recordings exist, we have asked you privately to confirm what notice was given and the basis for recording. That point stands.

Finally, you’ve suggested we are “out of our depth” and that “several companies” say similar things. We’ve been trading for over 11 years and fulfil large volumes every Christmas, including corporate orders significantly larger than this one. We responded to your complaint in detail, line-by-line.

The reality is that your requested outcome was compensation/refund, and we declined because the hampers were supplied as ordered and the complimentary card offering was not a paid bespoke print service, you then proceeded to leave this review.

We won’t continue a back-and-forth on here. If you want to resolve the remaining practical point (re-sending tracking details), email us from the address used on the order and we’ll resend them.

Very poor service.

Very poor service.

I ordered Christmas Crackers, including personalised items, at the beginning of December in order to receive them in time for Christmas. However, the shipment to Italy only took place after Christmas, making the purchase completely unusable, as these products are strictly linked to the holiday.

I contacted Customer Care multiple times, including offering to cancel the personalised items to receive the standard ones in time, but I never received any response. While the website and products appear very appealing, when selling items so closely tied to a specific date, delivery by that date should be guaranteed or clearly communicated.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this website.

Poor communication

Ordered weeks ahead of requested delivery date of the 19th December 2025. No updates from them re any problems but my hamper wasn't even dispatched until three days later and apparently delivered on the 23rd when no one was there, was left outside in a car port. Their response 'The delay is simply due to an enormous volume of hampers that required dispatch.' Not my problem, order was made well in advance!

We're genuinely sorry we missed your requested delivery date. We aim to deliver on the date selected, but during peak Christmas week there can be knock-on delays in dispatch and carrier networks that mean delivery lands a little later than planned.

On this order, the tracking shows delivery on 23rd December, with a photo confirming the parcel was left in a safe location (secluded and not in public view), as no one was home at the time of delivery. We also haven’t had any report from you that the hamper wasn’t received by the recipient.

Please accept our apologies for this - we do hope that the recipient enjoyed their hamper.

Christmas gift

This was a Christmas gift to my nieces who live in London and I liked the offerings and presentation and they were really happy with it. However, I'd requested delivery to be on December 23 and the delivery was attempted on the 21st when they were out at work. Instead of leaving it outside their door (or leaving a note), they came back the following day. Luckily someone was home to receive it as this was still not the correct day.
I spent a great deal of time researching the perfect hamper for them and, while I think the product is great, I'd prefer to have trust in a company that they will follow through on instructions (or at least have them inform me if this is not possible).

Beautiful Personalized Christmas Crackers

The personalized Christmas crackers are the most attractive we've ever had - the customization was perfect. And they shipped from the UK to the US SO quickly! We had DHL updates texted to us every step of the way. We plan to come back to Handmade Christmas Co next year. Cheers to everyone there!
