I am really happy with my experience with Hastings international. I was helped by Kay and was impressed with the manner and professionalism in which she handles our requests. There are always going to be communication issues between landlord and tenant when going through a third party but Kay manages to keep on top. Over all a great help and would refer others to Kay in the future.

Reading all the other reviews, I am quite surprised why my experience has been so unique. I have been an overseas landlord with them for the past 7 years. Throughout this time, it has been a consistently surprising journey, as they always manage to make me feel like they are only working for their own benefit. Charing to the account without any prior agreement, fail to provide updates in the statement, and their response time is notably slow. I deeply regret having chosen to work with them.

It was not an easy task for both tenants and agents, especially during the difficult time of Pandemics

Hastings Int is my tenancy company which have been absolutely amazing and easy to communicate with, compared to other letting agencies. Every time I have any issues with my apartment, I can send an email and they will deal with my concern literally in 30 minutes. I appreciate their help and apartment management.

Amazing service! Staff are lovely and I couldn’t recommend more!

Kay is a very professional agent who will go above and beyond what is expected of her. She is friendly and very honest, I feel completely at ease knowing that she is taking care of everything for me, she is a great asset to the company.

I have been dealing with Kay for several years now and I have nothing but good to say about her, and the company's, service. Communication is very important to me and Kay is proactive, immediate and responsive. I rank the service as one of the few which actually delivers customer service as I believe it should be delivered, with friendliness and professionalism.

The most unprofessional agency I have ever dealt with. Would often not respond to my emails, absolutely rude agents. Worst year of my life dealing with them! Once they have their money, they don’t care about the tenant or any needs they have. If they need you they’ll pester you, but if you need them: no response. I urge anyone to rethink singing a lease with these untrained individuals. You’ll find way better agencies on the market.

Hastings were not great throughout the year I was renting a flat from them. I left the flat in perfect condition, but they tried to take much of my deposit off me. One of the things they claimed was that I had stained the mattress, but I had used a mattress topper (as the mattress was so uncomfortable) and a mattress protector throughout my whole tenancy. The front door lock was also getting stiff towards the end which they said I had broken… likely just needed some WD40.
Another issue I had was that they did not communicate anything the building management had communicated to them. My bike got stolen from the secure bike storage inside the flat building as a gang had broken in using crowbars and angle grinders. The building management said they had sent out warnings to landlords and letting agencies to inform tenants, however I was not told. My bike was stolen when I could have kept it inside the flat safe instead.
At the end of the tenancy, Hastings were rude and abrupt and seemed to favour the landlord over the tenant. It is up to the landlord to prove beyond reasonable doubt that damage was caused. They also take FOREVER to respond to any queries and you have to chase them up multiple times to get a response. I would avoid renting through Hastings in the future.

We had the pleasure of renting a flat through Hastings International, and our experience, particularly during the contract renewal, was outstanding.
