A really beautiful blanket (pale pink alpaca/merino)
This is the second blanket i've bought from H&P - again, the merino alpaca blend. This time the blanket felt slightly different to the first, but when i contacted H&P they very kindly rang me to explain all about this difference and were very understanding. My daughter has received the blanket this weekend for her bday and loves it. The colours are absolutely gorgeous and there is no doubt that this is a beautiful, high quality blanket that she will love for many years.

Fantastic Brand which I would highly recommend
I discovered Heating & Plumbing on Wolf & Badger, and recently purchased directly from Heating & Plumbing. The range of products and personalisation is fantastic. Thank you for your review. We are a small business and put a lot of energy in offering the best customer service as possible. We also put a lot of thoughts in every action we take, so any 1 star review is very disappointing, but that gives us a chance to explain why we make some decisions.
The £15 delivery charge is for Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands via UPS.
It is important to state that our delivery charge is clearly visible in the shopping basket and the payment is only taken once everything is confirmed. It is also listed in multiple areas on our website.
Why £15 for Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands? After putting a lot of thinking in setting our delivery charges, we have opted for a single flat fee for each destination. It applies to any order size (a large part of our order are relatively similar in size so this is making sense to have a flat fee): a customer will pay the same price if they order a pair of socks or 10 blankets.
Unfortunately, the cost to ship to Northern Ireland where you are located has really shot up after Brexit. We are dispatching via UPS as other couriers really had issues a couple of years ago when Brexit was implemented.
You ordered a pair of alpaca socks on Sunday, December 17th. They were dispatched on Monday, December 18th and delivered on Wednesday, December 20th. It is most likely that if we had not used UPS, but Royal Mail for example, the delivery to Northern Ireland would have been after Christmas and you would have been following up with us and would have been extremely disappointed not to get the package on time.
So to reply to your question about the delivery charge, this is really a choice of providing the best customer service as we can. They are other cheaper options available, but we don't feel this is working for most of our customers.
It seems you have also emailed us inquiring about the delivery charge the day after placing the order, but without mentioning you had an order on the way (we only just realised now that that email was connected). We explained the above to you in response right away and even suggested to process a manual order and ship via Royal Mail if this was for a very small package (like a pair of socks). We have not heard back from you following that response, so we can only suspect this has ended up in spam (if you can kindly check and message us back confirming you received it that would be fantastic. It was sent on December 18th at 6H42pm).
We hope that this clarify why our charge for every package dispatched to Northern Ireland and the Channel Island is £15 and that it will ensure you that customer service is always on top of our priority.
