Ordered the 'well priced' Neil Young vinyl on the Friday very late in the day and it arrived first thing Monday morning, excellent!!!!. It was well packaged which doesn't always happen with vinyl order line . This was only the second time ordering from HMV and once again I was well impressed.

Customer Feedback – Brighton HMV Store

I recently visited the Brighton HMV store to pick up a specific Magic: The Gathering product — the Foundations Kit. Louis was on the tills at the time, helping other customers, and even before I was served, I couldn’t help but notice how genuinely friendly and approachable every member of staff was. The whole team carried themselves with such warmth and professionalism, helping customers in all sorts of ways. Their conduct was outstanding.

This store gives off such a great vibe that it’s hands-down my favourite. I can walk in, browse freely, and always be greeted with a smile. Even a small interaction — like someone asking if you’re okay or need help — makes a difference. The staff are impeccable when it comes to making people feel welcome, seen, and comfortable.

Now, back to my interaction with Louis:
This guy is brilliant. No matter the question, he’s always ready to help with a genuinely positive attitude. Though the product I was after wasn’t in stock, Louis instantly checked to see if he could order it for me. Without missing a beat, he asked whether I’d like it delivered to my home or collected in-store. He handled everything efficiently and kindly — he found the item and sorted it, just like that.

Honestly, this store has it all:
Friendly, reliable, and knowledgeable staff, an amazing selection of music playing in the background, and a great atmosphere. Even if something isn’t out on display, the staff are more than happy to check stock or place an order at the tills. That kind of proactive service is rare — and deeply appreciated.

Customer service is a tough job, and I fully respect that. But the Brighton HMV team makes it look effortless. I've been visiting this store for over 12 years, and it's always been a clean, well-presented space with truly exceptional staff. It’s more than a retail store — it’s a vibe. When I hear a great track playing, I can't help but do a little shuffle while browsing.

Louis — and the entire Brighton team — are what make this store so special. They go beyond transactions; they create experiences. I really hope upper management knows just how much value this team brings to the HMV brand. They deserve more than thanks — they deserve recognition for making the Brighton store a place customers return to, not just for products, but for the people.

This will always be my go-to store. No question about it.

Very prompt delivery for collection at Brighton store.

I have recently ordered some earphones online, however there is no signal of when it will be delivered, I have had no follow up emails since I ordered 2 days ago which I know is normal but I would prefer to know when my order has been shipped, sent to the local courier etc.

Overall happy.
Click and collect was a bit patchy though.
Item was on shelf, but I couldn’t pick it up because the same item had to be sent from a warehouse. Customers can be fickle. Treat them well.
