Staff good, Phone charges not so good.
Ordering the purchase was easy and staff very helpful, but when I phoned for an update on delivery I was in a queue and disappointed to get a text after the call to say calls were being charged at 45p a minute so, I’m glad I only waited 3 minutes.

Ease in choosing LP wanted, delivery was good but LP sleeve was creased but decided to not return LP due to return hassle.
There were 2 stores in Portsmouth, and 1 in Chichester, such shame so many HMV record have shut.

Good service at Portsmouth store
Once again staff always helpful and efficient.
Jai took my order last week and informed me HMV now send email updates instead of texts which I duly received and when I collected my order from the Portsmouth store Willy T served me.
I enjoy visiting the store and looking at the music and films when I'm in town and the store is well frequented by all ages.

The shop assistant was very helpful and polite with regards to the items I wished to purchase, unfortunately two of the items weren't in stock but she explained she could order them for me and have them delivered, which I did with one of the items, which arrived on time and thankfully damage free.

Young assistants
Was seen by another young assistant, Alexander, and like the previous assistants was met by the same polite helpful attitude. This is the main reason still shopping at HMV. Over several years always treated with the respect due an older customer.

Exceptional Customer Service
I bought a vinyl in-store and when i removed the outer plastic the cover was in very poor condition, the sleeve was separating at the seams and there was the shape, the outline of the vinyl itself indented on the sleeve. When I called I was advised of the process to return instore or to a po, however when I explained mobility issues i was having after an op, they arranged the collection from my home of the vinyl, it was then refunded and i was able to reorder the same vinyl (which was in new condition). I found the customer services team for HMV to be very sympathetic, empathetic and they went above and beyond to ensure I got the outcome I wanted. I would definitely be looking to expand my collection through HMV. Thank you
