Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. Beware the terms and conditions. They have more excuses than solutions. Not happy with quality my purchase but as we needed a single bed for guest room we can’t be bothered with the headache of returning product. Please read other reviews first before buying online.p

Do not buy from this firm.

Do not buy from this firm.
I had all the promises in the world that they would be refunding me my money and I never got it.
In the end I went to my bank and asked for a charge back.
Keep all your emails as proof of you asking for a cancellation and all their replys. You can do this if you have not got your item when they said that you would or up to14 days after you ordered.
It takes time to get it back through charge back but don't give up.
Don't let these scammers walk away with your hard earned money

No bed and no refund

Ordered a bed on 8 Feb. I emailed on 22 Feb after hearing nothing about delivery to be told they do not deliver to my area and that I would be refunded in 14 working days.
I emailed again on 6 March asking about my refund to be told 3 working days. It's now 14 March and I still haven't been refunded. Totally unacceptable. Mickey Mouse Company.

Do not use this company. Ordered a kingsize bed delivered 20th…

Update Still being messed around by this sham company for the 4th time Having cancelled due to their failure to deliver the correct size mattress in a timely fashion we have sat waiting past a time of collection for them to collect the poor quality unusable bed and different size mattress they dropped off. Still no hint of a refund or decent communication from them Guess we will be hiring the van and visiting their showrooms tomorrow to sort this out once and for all and if we upset their sales by showing prospective customers what they are really like to deal with we will ha e saved peolle a lot of stress. Ordered a kingsize bed delivered 20th february with a double mattress contacted the company immediately 4 times they have aaid they will exchange and we have waited in for them 4 times they have failed to turn up. they dont answer the phones ignore enails and now that we have involved trading standards and asked for refund under the 30 day policy in their website are saying they tried to deliver on a day when they had emailed to say drivers not driving nottingham to Stoke due to extremely bad weather it was drizzling with rain the whole route. Avoid them like the plague we will get our money back by law but in the meantime due to their godawful standards of customer service we have no bed to use until that refund comes in. websute promises their own drivers but continually blame couriers. If i have to i will go to their showroom and create a scene in front of all potential customers just to get the message out that they should not be trading if they cant fulfil the contracts correctly and in a timely fashion. They also block commenting on their facebook posts if you dare to complain

HUGE SCAM!

Myself and my partner ordered a bed from home arena on 31st January 2018. We were told that we would receive our bed within 7-10 working days. This did not happen!!! Our bed only arrived yesterday (10th March 2018... 2 MONTHS)!! Every time we called to find out where our bed was we were told that there were issues with the courier and they would text us a few days before delivery but never received a text, so kept calling and finally were promised a delivery date. The bed did not turn up on this date, however when we rang to complain they told us that the bed would be delivered the next day (yesterday). The bed arrived yesterday only to be THE WRONG BED!!! I have never in my life experienced such awful customer service and delivery. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company. All seems like a big scam.

Homearena Nottingham - Do Not Use!
Latest update 23.3.18 - apologies for the length of my entry but you do to read this, it will be to your advantage!
Email received yesterday stating that I can expect a refund within the next 6 days. In the meantime I have received confirmation that "TRADING STANDARDS WILL BE INVESTIGATING FURTHER AS THEY HAVE IDENTIFIED THIS TRADER AS ATTEMPTING TO RESTRICT MY LEGAL RIGHTS AS WELL AS MISLEADING CUSTOMERS" - YAAAY! I have also received the below really helpful information via Citizens advice:
Your rights and obligations
Under the Consumer Rights Act all
goods supplied by a trader should be as described. This means they should match any description you relied upon while deciding on your purchase. If the trader fails to meet these requirements, you may be able to claim a suitable remedy as outlined below.
If you were within the first 30 days from purchase, you are within your rights to exercise your Short Term Right to Reject, which gives you the ability to reject goods for a full refund. It would be down to you to prove
the goods do not meet their description. You may wish to have the goods
inspected independently to help you prove this.

If the first 30 days from purchase has passed, you could ask for a repair or complete replacement item. You can ask specifically for either one however it may be seen as a reasonable remedy to provide a repair unless it was to cause you a significant inconvenience. It would be down to the trader to prove the goods meet their description and if they cannot do so, they should provide one of the remedies outlined above.
If one repair or replacement does not resolve the situation or you have not been given a remedy within a reasonable time, you could then argue for your Final Right to Reject for a full refund which may be reduced by a reasonable amount for the usage you have had of the item; Ultimately the reduction would be for you to negotiate with the trader.
An alternative to this could be a price reduction. This would mean you would keep the goods and have a reasonable price reduction to account for this fault.

You may also be able to claim damages in addition to the above. This could be in the form of any losses you have received as a consequence of the issues. Please bear in mind that if you are looking to claim damages you would need to provide proof that they are reasonable costs and that you have incurred them.

Your next steps
You could request that they provide your chosen remedy and set them a final deadline to do so via their complaints procedure; you may need to ask for this procedure. Ensure you keep a copy of any communication you have with them and if this includes sending letters I would suggest you send them using a recorded delivery method, this will allow you to
track the letter and have proof that it has been sent and received. An example of a recorded delivery method would be the “Recorded Signed For” service your local post office could provide you with. It would be worthwhile checking to see if trader is a member of a “Certified Alternative Dispute Resolution Scheme” which is a third party who may be able to help you resolve the issue if you cannot do so with the trader after following their complaints process. It would be worth checking the terms of reference of the scheme if they are a part of one, as these would tell you when they would offer you additional assistance.
You could also try to obtain a refund from your debit card issuer. To clarify, you may be able to seek a refund through the card issuer if they have a 'chargeback' scheme. Therefore, it would be advisable to submit a claim in writing to the bank, specifically mentioning the 'chargeback' scheme, and ask that the matter is resolved in a timely manner. You should be aware that the card issuer would not have any legal obligation to comply with such a request, but some consumers affected by similar events have achieved a successful outcome by approaching their card issuer in the past.
Latest update 20.3.18 We have now bought a bed locallyand cancelled our order and are awaiting a refund only to be told today we can expect delivery on 26thMarch?! These people really do have no clue how to run a business!!
Latest Updatae 13.3.18
Homearea contacting us to ask if delivery taken place...? and then asked for confirmation of name/order number?! In the meantime we are still waiting on refund -this company is beyond a joke!!!!!!!!
Latest Update 10.3.2018
Two more unfillled promises of delivery
• Two beds were ordered on 24th January
• After numerous failed promises I still don’t have my order
• I am currently in possession of a king size crushed velvet divan bed which I do not want and which Homearena thought would somehow appease me because they could not fulfil my order
• They have arranged courier delivery on numerous occasions and failed to turn up on numerous occasions.
• I am therefore informing cancelling my order with immediate effect and want a refundof £219.99 .My son is STILL sleeping on the floor…!)
This company and its so called customer service is appalling- I shall continue to post my feedback online and pursue Trading Standards until this matter is concluded to my satisfaction.

Latest Update 23.2.18
Despite receiving no notification yesterday apparently Homearea arrived at my home address at 7pm with my order-I was out!!! Wonder if they will have the courtesey of contacting me today - suspect not...I have repeatedly been asking them to cancel my order and refund my money - to date I have heard nothing about this. I continue to house the king size bed which they tried to bribe me with iin my dining room and my teenage son is still sleeping on the floor. My detailed letter to Trading Standards was posted yesterday and I will keep you aprised of the situation via Trustpilot.

Latest update 21.02.18
On 19/02 I emailed to check delivery was still on for 20/02 only to be told I should have received an email tell me it would be Thursday 22nd! Ummm - not good enough, want my money back. After lots of tooing and froing they agreed to reinstate original delivery arrangements but again they did not turn up. We had number of delivery driver who said he was "NORTH" and not on our route but that he would ring his "boss" and find out what was going on. He called back to say delivery arranged for Thursday. This was not agreed and I have told the company I want my money back by Friday at the latest. All through this saga my son has been sleeping on the floor. I have written to trading standards and am currently investigating the Directors of this Company who appear to also have been directors to three other furniture companies all of which are now dissolved but all (including Homearena) seem to be making a HUGE profit - of course they are people, they are making it from your orders which they are not fulfilling and either supplying faulty goods and withholding your money or hold onto your money long enough to make a very healthy profit!
*******
Wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering.
PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS - ONE STAR IS BEING VERY GENEROUS!
I ordered x2 beds two weeks ago at total of £440.00. A week later I had not heard about delivery so emailed them. and an individual confirmed the beds were being made and that deliverywould take place 12/02/18 (with a tel call 30 mins beforehand) and guess what? Despite my husband and I taking a day off, they didn't turn up!
They did however reply at 8am this morning (various emails from two individuals to say'Hi sorry it will be today. If its not with you we will issue the full refund with our sincerest apologies.') Surprise suprise its now 2pm I am still waiting.... Nothing would give me greater pleasure than coming back on this site later this afternoon to admit that I was wrong...
Emailed at 4pm and was told last on list and delivery should be with us between 5 and 7pm. Driver rang at 4.40pm to say as they were aware my Son had been sleeping on the floor (we had sold his old bed on Sat in time for new one arriving (or so we thought!) on Monday they had bought us a king sized velvet bed?! We had ordered one double size velvet bed and one double sized black divan- no sign of either of these. Very angry that they thought they could take me for a fool especially bearing in mind just this morning they had assured me order was on its way in its entirety.
I have since taken delivery of the king size (it is too big for bedroom but I least I have something for my money) and have given them two choices: either they come and take the king size away by end of the week (they initially refuted this as they said it would cost them money to get organise ano driver from Notts - couldn't believe the brass necked cheek - 2 people off work for one day waiting for a delivery that did not turn up, how much did they think that cost ME??!!) and give refund in full by end of week and cancel the order or they bring the two beds as ordered and I take delivery of these AT A TIME TO SUIT ME (will not be taking any more wasted time off from work) and only then will we hand over the king size and only when the order (ie condition of beds) has been checked in full. Beware this company wants to take your money and give nothing in return, not goods nor good customer service.COMPLETE RIP OFF MERCHANTS TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. Please do not accept any of the good reviews on here as being genuine, I suspect (very much like the ones on Homearena website, they are pure fiction!

Now received email to say expect delivery next week - umm we have no delivery waiting to take place as we have purchased a replacement bed locally but we are still awaiting our £220 refund....?!
Latest update 14.3.18
No delivery and they are asking if delivery has taken place. When questioned they are now asking for order/customer details - huge joke, delaying tactics. So last evening went locally and purchased one bed for Son. Now waiting on money back and response from Trading Standards. I had in my previous update referred to the two directors involved in this company by name but Trust Pilot asked me to remove that which I am more than happy to do but anyone can get information from the web on the directors/profit and loss/dissolved companies etc - its all in the public domain. So please do keep an eye out. Their facebook page says they are branching out into kitchens so please do check which company's they are forming and be on your guard. Homearena have in the last couple of days updated their website and you can no longer "talk" online with anyone so the lines of communication have further narrowed. Have a look under "our story" perhaps some of us disatisfied customers should take them up on their kind offer of visiting their factory in Nottingham...! Also take no notice of their 5 star review - I suspect the majority are completely manufactured. Keep referring to this page for regular updates.

Very poor experience, starting to think we won't be getting a bed.

My fiancé ordered a bed from these guys over 3 weeks ago and despite being told "7-10" working days, we still have no bed due to "courier issues".

This company are difficult to get hold of, give very minimal information and very inaccurate delivery times. After reading reviews from other customers, we will be withholding the "cash on delivery" money until we have unpacked and assembled the bed to ensure that it is as advertised and is not missing parts. Should the courier decide to make a fuss or act even remotely threatening, I shall be straight on the phone to the police.

Trading Standards have already been contacted.

SCAM COMPANY DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM... THEY R A SCAM. You will order your bed and pay for the bed in good faith. When the bed eventually arrives and after numerous emails to tell you they have a problem with the delivery company they are using which is why your bed will be delivered late to you... it won't be the bed you ordered or saw on their website, and like mine it was broken.

You won't be able to get hold of them because when you ring their telephone number, after 10 minutes the line will go dead....this will happen everytime you try to call them. No point in emailing them to ask them to call you because they won't.

My bed was delivered 2 weeks late and when it arrived on 18.12.17 it was broke and not the bed i ordered. I emailed them on 19.12.17 and they said they would replace it.

After over 30 emails an'd taking time off work because they said they would collect the faulty bed and give me a refund, surprise they didht turn up and no replacement was in sight.

Now nearly 2 months later i had to keep the bed and get someone to repair it. I emailed them and told them i wanted a discount off the bed because it was faulty. Again after numerous emails i finally got a £50 refund... why... cos i told them that i reported them to Trading Standards.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM... THEY ARE THE BUGGEST SCAM AND YOUR THROWING YOUR MONEY AWAY.
