The employee I met was Gavin from Homebase Roundtree way Norwich ,he was great I asked him about some shingle and he went and got it for me ,but I had asked him for the wrong size ,no problem he says goes and changes it, I was next in line at till, he did all that for me and then put everything in my car with a lovely smile as well, being 68 it was very nice, well done Gavin

Went in at 8:05 to an empty shop. Approached a man at the till to say I had something to collect, he pointed and said ‘over there’ without looking up. I asked if there was anyone at that desk and he said ‘there will be’.
Stood there for a while and a grumpy guy came up and said ‘order number?’ Handed me the item and walked away. What horrible service.

Whenever I shop at Homebase I always tend to buy the most awkward things I can’t carry. However whenever I call for help and advise I found a very particular helpful man there called Ian. He tends to go the extra mile which really help someone like me who has a silly convertible car and can’t work out how I’m taking bench’s down to huge plants in my car, where as Ian always manages to work it out hence I’m always shopping there as all staff are most helpful. But we all know you always get that one who most outstanding polite and willing to help.

I was helped to select some decorating items by a gentleman called Ian. Ian was extremely helpful, knowledgeable , friendly and went "the extra mile " to help me with several questions I had.

Really great advice on how to prepare walls for painting after sugar soap hadn’t helped remove marks/ grease spots.

Really easy! Everything in stock. Was notified the order was ready to collect within about 30mins. When I arrived, friendly staff had already loaded everything onto a trolley for me. Super quick, efficient and lovely staff. Top marks!

Visited Homebase yesterday to buy some Dulux paint. £21 on shelf and signs to say mixed paint costs the same. Also buy one and get a second at half price. Bargain?! Asked for a standard Dulux mix and bought one other colour from the shelf. Expected to pay £21 for first and £10.50 for the second tin. Oh no. Because the paint was not on the shelf we were charged £31 for the mixed paint, a percentage was taken off both tins for the half price and we ended up paying £41.50 and were cheerfully told by the lady on the till (not her fault obviously) that we had saved £10. Doesn’t add up in my mind – it was £10 more than I expected. Pleasant chap on the mixing though.

bulbs for the garden. Young man on the check out was incredibly polite and friendly. Made a refreshing change these days

While we were searching through the store, an employee asked if we needed any help. We told him what we were looking for, and he searched for us, when item shew as not available, he explained about other similar items. Very helpful, making it a pleasant experience.
