I wasn't 100% clear going in on Homefast's role vis-a-vis other parties (e.g lawyers, real estate agent) but their value became quickly apparent. Our sale was complex owing to the age of the property and lack of historic paperwork. Joanna knew what a future purchaser's lawyer would need and actively helped in chasing down that information so we could hit the ground running once an offer landed. Would recommend.

Homefast’s so-called conveyancing service was nothing short of a fiasco.

We engaged them through Reeds Rains to secure a solicitor for the sale of student accommodation properties, which were subject to the UK Building Safety Act (BSA) regulation.
Despite having months of advance notice, Homefast utterly failed to line up a solicitor—even after a notice of sale of the property had already been issued to all parties.
When I urgently contacted them for support ten days post-notification, all I received was an indifferent response: Homefast declared the case “too complicated” due to the BSA, and that their ‘preferred’ solicitors were at full capacity. That was the end of their involvement—no solutions, no urgency, not even an attempt to rectify the situation.

The most infuriating detail? I managed to hire a solicitor myself from the very same firm Homefast claimed was “too busy” for my case—immediately and without hassle.
Homefast wasted valuable time and jeopardised my sale, then shrugged off responsibility with a hollow apology and zero follow-up.
For anyone with a complex property transaction, especially involving the Building Safety Act, avoid Homefast at all costs. As a matter of fact, I would say, avoid Homefast for any transaction.
Their incompetence, apathy, and lack of professional accountability made what should have been a routine engagement an absolute nightmare. Save yourself the stress: go directly to a reputable solicitor instead of putting your trust in Homefast’s broken process. Completely unacceptable and outrageously unprofessional.

Here's the facts:

Fact: To use Homefast and their solicitor would have cost me £2969.00 in total. By comparison, Burys in Liverpool quoted £1800 - contact Kayleigh she and Burys are very professional). So shop around.
When I cancelled HomeFasts service I lost £399 and it was still more cost affective to go elsewhere.

Fact: Homefast are an intermediary, intermediary's make money by making introductions. I.e they are creating a role for themselves. But no one needs an intermediary to instruct a solicitor.

Fact: Homefast, Reed Rains and Your Move are all owned by LSL Property services.
If one of these agents offer to introduce you to their 'conveyancing department' for a solicitors quote know that they've taken over a couple of the solicitors searches (environmental, drainage and local) and you will pay much more through HF than if you deal direct with a solicitor.

Fact: It's part of the solicitor job to carry out these searches, HomeFast does not need to be part of the process, these searches will be carried out regardless by your solicitor.

Fact: It took 2-3 weeks for them to introduce me to a solicitor so it wasn't even a fast service.

Homefast have been very efficient in their handling of the first part of the sale. Joanna has been very helpful and informative, particularly in the completion of the Leaseholder Information Form which I was struggling to understand.

I spoke to Gemma today, and was delighted with the customer service I received. Looking forward to continuing the conveyancing process with Homefast

I called Homefast today - Manny initially fielded my call.. listened to my query, and correctly directed me to Joanna - who resolved the matter in question very efficiently! Both were very pleasant to speak with🙂- and now everything's over to the Solicitors.

Having never sold a house before I was wary, especially as I was advised that the majority of the work would be conducted electronically. However, Joanna was in touch from the start and the excellent communication made the whole process very efficient.
