Wanted to upgrade my solar inverter…

Wanted to upgrade my solar inverter with batteries. Their salesman was very polite and clear in his explanation of this technology and gave us a very competitive price .I placed an order but due to a change in my financial circumstances we had to cancel . My deposit was very promptly refunded . Would not hesitate to use them again when our circumstances are better.

Home Logic's dismissive and cursory response

I have just moved into a house with 'Open' spray foam fitted to the underside of the pitched roof. We found out about this installation shortly before contract exchange so it would have been nigh on impossible to re-negotiate the price and hugely disruptive to pull out altogether. Besides, we really like the house. The spray foam was fitted in September 2023 and there is extensive paperwork including a 25 year warranty. The recent BBC The One Show report on spray foam insulation caused us some consternation though this was somewhat mitigated by Home Logic's detailed and extensive response to that programme. I contacted Home Logic to register my wife's and my names as the new owners and I requested further reassurance about various issues including condensation and breathability. The response was woeful. My questions and concerns were dismissed in a cursory fashion and there was a complete unwillingness to engage with any of the issues. As the installation was recent and seems to have been carried out by people with appropriate accreditation, I am hopeful that there will not be any problems. It is unfortunate that Home Logic's dismissive response has increased our anxiety rather than allaying our fears.

Mrs Bullock

We have transferred all the warranty's in to your name.

As you have said the product has been installed correctly with the correct paperwork.

There is lots of negative press currently, mainly caused by companies not able to satisfy surveyors/valuers/lenders with evidence based paperwork.

This is not the situation when purchasing through Home logic.

Please be assured when Sprayfoam is installed correctly there should be no issues.

Home logic have installed the product correctly as per latest released guidance.

Thank you for your review , we will now internally look at our processes.

Isabelle Is Inspirational Very Polite…Great Representative Of Homelogic

Isabelle Is Inspirational Very Polite And Patient.!
Without This A Second Visit Wouldn't Be Possible. To Be Honest This Opportunity Would Be Lapsed. From My Mother's Perspective. We Are So Gratefull For Isabelles Patience And Allowing Us To Rethink Our Last Decisions In Accepting This Opportunity To Embrace Homelogic. Isabelle Is A Very Great In Helping Out From Her Expertise Very Considerate Of Us And Understanding. Also Through My Sybling Argument Discouraging Myself And Mum To Put Off Doing The Loft Improvement Through Telephone Conversation. This Didn't Prevent Us From Continuing.

Spray foam installation

Kind friendly personnel Paul and Jimmy. Took care of my home. Left it as they found it clean and tidy. Worked hard no breaks until the job finished. I was told the installation would be noisy but in a downstairs room with the door closed it was no problem. Yes I’m hard of hearing but I was wearing my hearing aids and they were switched on!

I had logic foam installed in February…

I had logic foam installed in February 2024 and yes it’s made a big difference to my home. However I do feel that I have been missold this product misrepresented. Although I have all paperwork at the time when they came to see me at my home it was explained that having logic foam in my property would be a good selling point when I do decide to sell my property but I was no explaining Ed to me the negatives about having logic foam installed. I have recently made enquiries into releasing equity from my home but was told that nobody will touch me with this because I have installed the spray foam. I am guttered as I have worked really hard to be where I am today and to find this out at my time in live is a big deal to me to the point where I want to proceed with a law suit against this company. We were not told that my property would decrease in value and no lender will help me to release equity from my home. Only if I pay £4000/£6000 to have the logic foam removed. This was not a cheap thing to have installed in my home and do believe that if all the cards had been laid on the table I would have thought twice about this . Why was this not explained to me . I am not happy and want to know what the company is going to do about this. Has anyone else had any issues

Loft Insulation

Loft Insulation. Excellent experience from start to finish. I had a call with polite and helpful office staff who arranged a visit from their representative. He was so helpful and took the time to explain everything for me. He took photos of the loft to make sure that everything was ok to go ahead. He arranged a time and a date for the installation. Job was done and I am happy to recommend this highly efficient company. Thanks to you all.

Spray Foam warning !!!!

All I can say at this point is WOW......Money down the drain !!! Had issues at the beginning from the sales guy who wouldn't take NO for an answer
We decided to go ahead with the £8100.00 investment.... to our amazement they started the following day and leaving a trail of mess that we had to chase for a couple of weeks.
Let's fast forward after all the issues and here we are now with a surveyor to our property as we are considering selling.... Been told that the insulation has been installed in properly and therefore poses a major issue with selling... told point blank .... recommended you get it taken out as soon as possible as the roof structure will ROT due to the poor installation. I feel like crying !!! Called the estate agents and they have told me exactly the same thing.
And to think that the Government were backing this !!!
I will seek legal advice

Good morning

The product has been installed as per latest guidance PCA inspection protocol for surveyors and lenders. This guidance was established so surveyors could evaluate if high risk or low risk.

After reviewing your paperwork, You are considered low risk and should have no issues arranging lending going forward.

We presume the surveyor is working outside of this guidance.

Please be aware there is also a scam operating currently where sales people mask as surveyors giving bad advice, so you use there services to remove, this is a scam. See our warning on website.

Perfectly good Insulation does not need removing.

Please contact us with details of surveyor so we can corespond to support.

Unfortunately only a few companies are able to meet the guidelines set by the PCA inspection protocol which is causing confusion.

Home logic are one of the companies who are working as per this guidance.

Don’t get me wrong

Don’t get me wrong. I like my Home Logic insulation.
It has reduced my Gas usage from 18k to 13k kWh per annum.
Problem is, the scare stories refuse to go away.
It seems more and more insurers and mortgage lenders either refuse cover or reduce value of the house.
I urge all potential buyers to hold off purchase until this issue is fully resolved.
Removal by a reputable company will cost you £6000
Let me clarify number of points.
Firstly, I have no problems with Home Logic.
Their product seems good, it does save energy and their customer service responds quickly and efficiently to any queries.
Problem is there is article, after article in the Press warning of the perils of this insulation.
The latest, by the BBC yesterday warned that just about every major Bank, Building Society or Insurance Company has restrictions, some very severe on properties with this insulation.
If this were a one off story, I'm would ignore it, but stories like this are now common.
So it doesn’t really matter if they are completely true or not.
Until the rumours are scotched, fitting foam insulation, even using a reputable company like Home Logic, will have serious consequences to the value of your property.
So don’t do it until the issues are resolved.

Update at 1330.
I am very sympathetic with your position. I do believe the Product you are selling has a positive benefit.
Unfortunately, until you can get this message across to the Banking and Insurance Sectors you will continue to sell a Product that devalues Property.
Grossly unfair, but so is life.

Good morning

Thank you for recoognising Homelogic as a reputable business.

As per the BBC article and news show , if the product is installed correctly 75% of lenders will lend.

Unfortunately reviews like this will only make it difficult for Homelogic to trade, which could put all Home logic customers at risk if we closed.

Thank you for your review

Worst company

Worst company! Inpaid £6255 for a roof coating and given a warranty for 10 years! The roof had moss everywhere in just a matter of 3 years! Called for the warranty and asked them to do something about it! They cannot be bothered for £6255 on coatings to put on liquid in the roof! What a rip off!! They don't reply on email and they don't care about their customers at all!!! Never buying from them again and we do not recommend this company!

It all began with the survey to see if…

It all began with the survey to see if the loft was
suitable for this insulation. Demmi was so helpful
explaining everything and so friendly.
The installers were very good, covered all carpets,
they worked very hard to make the experience a good
one.
My house was left clean and tidy was very impressed.
I would recommend this company to anyone.

Rubbish left

I had my loft scape insulated 31st October 2024 and the rubbish they left is still blowing down and around the street. I have been on the phone to get it moved which they agree it wants moving, and promise to get it removed but today 5th November it’s still blowing around the street. With bags of insulation still stacked against the walls of my house they have had ample time to clear it but aren’t bothered about it, the next step is trading standards although these cowboys don’t seem to have any standards. Anybody thinking using these think again and don’t pay up front

Having a Resin Bound drive installed in…

Having a Resin Bound drive installed in 2018 and having a major problem with the installation which resulted in a complete relay i thought the problems were sorted. But now 6 years later the drive is starting to break up where my car is parked. Having contacted Home Logic complaints as i was told and sent pictures of the fault as requested i have not been contacted since.
I have tried again since but they don't reply. In my 0pinion there service is very poor, so form your own opinions

Good morning

You have cracks appearing from ground movement , this is quite normal and expected for any drive way surface.

Normal wear and tear is not covered under warranty.
