Globales Santa Lucia review

Globales Santa Lucia review
Arrived Wednesday 28th August 2023 Tui coach and 1st drop off so transfer was 30 minutes
Tourism tax has to be paid on arrival and ours for 2 was €46.20 for 7 days! More expensive than I expected.
The safe is a ripoff at €30 plus €10 deposit for the key, you need one as your insurance usually won’t pay out if you have a claim.
We could not fault the food, plenty to choice from and restocked quickly.
Our room was smaller than I expected and so was the the balcony but they were always well cleaned.
It could be a great adults only hotel overlooking the bay as all rooms have a sea view but read on!
The bathroom had no toiletries only a soap dispenser near the wash basin and in the shower but they were useless, impossible to get soap out of them.
We were on the all inclusive package and for a TUI Platinum 4 star hotel the spirits were very poor quality, I expected better local brands than they served, the local white rum was drain cleaner quality and the rest were not much better.
No waiter bar service for the all inclusive only the for the half board and as the queue for the only night time bar open was horrendous it was definitely needed.
On the Saturday we had a bad storm which left the glass partitions around the pool and dining room area so filthy that sea view was blocked. On the Sunday one of the sun bathers was cleaning the outside where he was laid so he could see out. They were still in the same condition on the Tuesday before we left.
I don’t know how TUI can call it a Platinum and as far 4 star I would say at the best 3 star plus.
I think that the Balearic Islands have got to greedy and have had their day.
We have just got back from a Jet2 4* rated hotel in Turkey and it put this one to shame, friendly waiter service at all the bars and restaurants, free safe and refilled room mini bar toiletries in the bathroom and premium drinks.

The entertainm very…

The entertainment was very bad and very late as well. The life guard picked up a child and pretend to throw her down a slide. The food is not as good as they make it out to be. The stairs hurt if you go up and down all of the time. The room was good and the cleaners in everyday to clean and do your bed. The pool tasted like salt water my daughter said when she went on the kiddy slides and it went in her mouth when she went down a slide. Would recommend for someone who goes with groups.

Don Pedro hotel Mallorca an absolutely…

Don Pedro hotel Mallorca an absolutely sham for a four star adult only hotel.
Very poor quality of decor with leak stains and flaking paint everywhere and a leaking ceiling in the dining room which had towels in place to catch the liquid, which I hope was only water, this was there all week.
Only one bar operational at any one time which meant long walks from the pool or roof terrace if you required an alcoholic drink. The staff in the only dining room were great and food was acceptable but reception and cleaning staff were not very professional. We’re unable to have the rooms we had booked and change rooms due to being located over smelly bins and noisy machinery for pool / kitchen.

This is not an adult only hotel

Spent 10 days in the Globales Don Pedro, Majorca. Supposed to be adult only, but every day children from babes in arms to teenagers used the hotel sun terrace as a cut through, walking among sunbathing guests; being sold ice creams at the sun terrace bar while guests queued behind them, and used the hotel sun terrace toilets, again while guests queued behind them. This is not an adult only hotel. Also, room had malfunctioning lights, shower and ‘phone, was not cleaned properly despite having huge crickets in the room, and soaps and tea:coffee was not topped up when they ran out. Restaurant was great, but it was not enough to compensate.

GLOBALES PALMANOVA PALACE IS THE BIGGEST SCAM

Please take your time to read this. You Will not regret it.

The GLOBALES PALMANOVA PALACE HOTEL is the biggest scam.

1. We walked in the reception and the staff just looked at us like we came from the zoo. No “hello” or “Do you have a reservation”. We found our booking reference But the man just ignore us totally like we werent there. We Got our cards But one of Them wasnt working.

2. We we’re in the room in 5 minutes and after a little while we noticed it was FLOODED in the bathroom so we get the cleaning staff and a technic guy Up, really Nice first impression.

3. The wifi wasnt working on the whole trip. You couldnt even Connect to it. Not very 4 star. I had to buy more data which is SO expensive even through they say wifi is included. I went to complain about it But just Got the answer thats it working and Im crazy and the only one experiencing it. (I know I wasnt because i talked with other guests). The man just Said I was crazy and send Me away. Never felt so stupid when asking for help. And never met so rude a staff before. I would have changed hotel But we already paid for it so we had to stay in it.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!
And man in the reception I hope karma hits you.

Not a 4* hotel all inclusive very restricted

This hotel has deteriorated over the years in terms of restrictions. I’m not sure how it gets a 4* rating via the holiday companies?

However the Location is great two minute walk to the Main Street and beach. Cleanliness is good and rooms are spacious if sharing with 2 people.

Food is standard. The pool bar has 1 person working on it all day leaving customers queueing for upto 15 minutes. You are restricted to 1 drink per person and you are given a cup which you must return to the bar every time you want a drink (customers are now doing a glass collecting role)!! You cannot smoke at your sunbed however if you pay €150 extra for the week you can go into the vip area in which you do not have the restrictions as mentioned above!

A couple of the lifeguards are extremely rude & some bar staff are so not have any customer service skills!

I’ve been here a few times before & also stayed at another globales hotel ( mimosa) further up the road which I hear from other customers has the same restrictions in place.

All inclusive at globales is not what is used to be. I paid £1800 for 2 weeks and I’m so disappointed. I Will never come back again.

Hotel and setting itself is nice
There's the good points
Food specially breakfast is always cold even if your there first.
Dnt go all inclusive to this hotel as it means nothing carnt use certain areas of hotel all drinks are limited and on allow to get 2 at a time so if u have elderly parents or someone with disabilities u have to join cue again.
Entertainment is terrible we had a Bruno mars tribute who only sang 2 of his songs.

Sunbeds get up around 7am if u want 1
Rooms are small but ok
We're leaving hotel at 7.30 this morning so as every other hotel I've been to I thought I'd go down and have a cup of tea n toast before flight to b told your carnt till 7.30.
Staff throughout the holiday are rude dnt seen to understand a single 1 anyone says.

Amazing place

I can only say that everything was amazing. Food was delicious, cleaning was amazing and the best part of it, the evening shows for the children. Lukas and Ivan did an amazing job entertaining them, playing with them, making balloon animals and they also entertained the adults with games like ping pong, pool, archery, yoga and more others. Very nice staff and they all speak English. We stayed at Globales Condes de Alcudia.

The food was repetitive and wasn't always hot. Having said that I do give 5stars to the house keeping. Bianca stood out volumes. Always happy and greeted everybody. Andreu on reception to check me in was also professional and polite. Thank you for all making my stay a nice experience. Oh and the beach is only a stone throw away so great location.Maybe an update on the rooms the house cleaners work with what they have!!! From Room 620

10 day day all inclusive late May/June…

10 day day all inclusive late May/June (Whitsun)

Buildings - only 1 small lift the other was out of order for entire 10 day stay.

Pool - bitterly cold and small, poolside showers rubbish just dribbled water barely enough to get wet at all, decking very loose and spongy in places probably H&S hazard.

Room - very small, room for the 3 beds and 2 bedside tables and small table for tea making though no bottled water and no tea bag/ sugar/coffee top up when cleaned.

Meals - got by for couple of days but with childrens menu being almost non existent and chicken nuggets being GREY?? seeing my 11yr old eat poor quality fries every day and rest of menu ATE OUT FROM DAY 4

Entertainment - What there was entertainment all in Italian none for us or my small person?

Tui - NO INFO on site except very nice and helpful Robin who when approached was very helpful with questions sadly with no other info and being the only point of contact for info there was always a few people waiting to see him.

Hotel was geared up for Italians Bravo team for them were great several on site and continuously entertaining for them whether by poolside or in the evening but the brits had nothing.

Came home reviewed to TUI not looking for compensation but nevertheless TUI just asked for photos of the topics? pool temp, entertainment (lack of), poor showers, lifts not working (no signage) etc without photos case closed??? in short they didn't seem to care that I had a very poor holiday...my last TUI trip no support

Hotel Globales Costa Tropical

Hotel Globales Costa Tropical, Fuertaventura.
This hotel is 3* but we found it to be excellent. It is not a party hotel and its a little dated, it is family orientated for families with young children or teens who are not into partying and raves but just like family fun.
It is beautifully clean and kept up to cleanliness standards and more. We never saw a dirty loo on site!
The rooms are spacious and some overlook the pool with patio/french doors. The shower was a good power and lasted for the 2 of us to shower with warm water.
Towels in our rooms were changed as often as we liked and our beds were made, to a better standard than us just pulling the covers over!
The building was seen to be being painted and early morning the staff were out making sure the pool and areas were clean. The pool is salt water and was very cold, the small pool was a little warmer for young children.
All staff work hard and nothing is too much trouble. NEMAR was excellent, he made our holiday more fun by bringing out darts, dancing, pilates/yoga, games and swimming pool games etc etc
Taxis from the hotel were extremely good, amounts of money would vary to and from the town Coleta, usually from 3 euros 55 to 5 euros per trip, we thought that good as 5 persons were in the taxi.
If I have a quibble about the hotel it would be the small shop situated near to the restaurant, the young girl looked very sad and fed up, we felt a little sorry for her, but my son walked through the shop to go to a little shop a few minutes away as they had a lot more variety of items, and although she knew him , she wouldn't allow him back through the shop, from this day on they lost all of our trade and if they do this with other people on holiday, they will lose lots of business, ( the shop did look very sparse, it may be that we were there in May and they top up in the later months)
Food in the restaurant was buffet style, with a good variety of meats, fish, veg and salads, sweet desserts, pastries and drinks.
If you are all inclusive there are certain drinks that are not on the menu, but you receive a bar code to see the menu.
There were no ice creams free with all inclusive unless you had a tub of ice cream while you were in the restaurant, you need to pay for these.
The lady in the little shop by the launderette is a beautiful kind lady and will wrap your gifts in lovely little bags. Night times were good for us, not for some though. Karaoke, music, and a wonderful couple sang ABBA etc one night.
Thank you Globales Costa Tropical Fuertaventura for a lovely rest from our busy lives, we will probably visit again some time :-)

Panama Hotel palma nova...

Panama Hotel palma nova.... positives: rooms were clean and spacious and the beds were amazing!! Hotel spotlessly clean and the cleaners very friendly.
Negatives: walls paper thin, could hear EVERYTHING in the next rooms and those above us! Lifts were hit and miss... if you had the patience to wait for one it was 50/50 chance of it working!
FOOD/DRINK: For a 4* rating this was very poor!! We paid for all inclusive but ended up eating out on quite a few occasions! Same dishes every meal time... veal or pork! Deserts were just copious amounts of mousse!!
The snack bar was absolutely horrendous, usually consisting of left over breakfast items, stale bread rolls and the odd cake!
The entertainment was extremely poor (absolutely no fault of the poor girl in charge of it)... she was the only one and on her day off (Fridays) there was none at all!! Evening entertainment consisted of bingo @21.30 followed by a guest @22.00 for an hour! @23.00 all the lights were turned on making you feel like the staff just wanted rid of you! Only one 2 words to describe staff... miserable & rude! (Apart from the young girl trying her best with the entertainment, she was lovely!)
Managers and restaurant staff were awful, couldn't wait to take your plates etc (sometimes while you we're still eating!)
Definitely won't be returning and it needs downgrading to 3***!!!

GLOBALES HOTELS PALMANOVA

All Inclusive Holiday

Well what can I say,

Upon arrival having to pay the stupid holiday tax in Spain, why do the Spanish do this to brits who have aided in their economy growth, no other places do this?

The charges for the safe in the room €46.20?, before we’d started the holiday each couple x 3 couples had spent €106.00 😡

Reception staff are rude and unfriendly, not very helpful at all, my door key card failed 4 times whilst their on holiday, with no real answer why. The rear gate to the hotel had a key card opener on it which never worked as at 23:00 they put a chain and padlock on it? We were advised that the issue was the key cards were no activated for the rear gate, 3 times lied too, it did and would never open this gate !

The bar staff waitresses were ignorant, never smiled and made you feel uncomfortable when asking for drinks or assistance not a Gracias or anything?

The food choices were poor, food was only warm, only one microwave available for a seating area of 120+ people, the toasters for your bread took around 8 minutes to brown, only two available that held 4-5 slices at a time?

The free alcoholic drinks offered for all inclusive were foul, and we ventured out most nights and days to drink and eat elsewhere spending around an additional €1,700.00 over the holiday?

The hotel advertised a kids indoor play area but this was locked and never opened during our stay, this hotel is not ideal for families with children from 4-5 years or older as there is very little entertainment for them, around 40-45 minutes of a member of staff dressed in a Superman costume dancing to music ?

The bingo in an evening was ok but €12.00 for a strip of 6 tickets, I felt this was extortionate and the money raised from this also paid for the evening entertainment that was on?

The hotel is clean, the walls are paper thin, the beds are light, flimsy and uncomfortable to sleep on, not doubles but two singles just pushed together and not secured, my partner went down the gap a few times over the time away?

The Spanish advise they are cracking down on brits holidaying in Majorca and are reducing alcoholic drinks being allowed to individuals, well if this is so why are nonalcoholic drinks being charges at £2.90 a bottle?

On good note, I would like to thank the following personnel at hotel as these individuals were great with everyone and made an extra effort with our granddaughter and our family whilst there;

Peter, Rosa, Ramon and Teresa

We will not be returning to this hotel again, and I feel our future holidays to Spain has come too an end, we will be venturing elsewhere from now on as we all felt that hotels here are getting worse and the Spanish Government is trying to force brits out of here for other nationalities, good luck that as when we spoke too others they were feeling the same way as ourselves, it is a shame as up to two years ago we had had several enjoyable family holidays here 😔😔

Good luck hotel companies and Spain, it will come back and haunt you all when Brits cease coming there.

Craig and Family

Lord Nelson , Santa Tomas

Lord Nelson Sant Tomas
The rating is mainly based on the poor quality of the food. When you pay for all inclusive you don’t expect to have to eat elsewhere as the quality is so poor!

Staff lovely, work hard and always smiling.
Rooms are tiny, you have to sit sideways on the toilet!! A small child size wardrobe for all your holiday clothes.

All inclusive customers have a limited choice of drinks, all served in the same half pint glass. Cocktails are NOT cocktails but coloured spirits put with a mixer.

Just generally disappointing when you pay to go to a supposedly 4* hotel, we have been to many hotels in many parts of Europe and this is at best 3*.
