Excellent customer service
I would like to say a massive thank you to H Samuel Southampton and the customer service team. The diamond set in my engagement ring came out and was lost. I called customer services and they explained I would need to take the remaining part of the ring to a shop so they could check it hadn’t been tampered with. The staff at the Southampton branch were very helpful explaining what would need to be done and once the checks were done they agreed to replace it. Unfortunately H Samuel no longer sell my ring - I was gutted!! However I spoke to Linda in customer services and she said she would contact the manufacturer and see if they could get an identical replacement. I am pleased to say she was able to get me an identical replacement, it took 8 weeks but I’m am so glad the effort was made as this is more than just a ring to me. This is what I called excellent customer service and I am so grateful.

The website is unclear and unintuitive to use.
To begin with, the checkout page doesn’t work properly on a mobile device, which made the ordering process frustrating.
My main issue, however, was with the product collection information. I selected a pair of earrings because the website clearly stated they would be available for collection in store the same day. After paying, I received a confirmation email saying they wouldn’t actually be available for collection until four days later.
Displaying inaccurate collection information is misleading and completely defeats the purpose of choosing click and collect. Based on this experience, I won’t be ordering from them again.

Disappointing visit to Hill Samuel Oxford Street
Visited Hill Samuels on Oxford Street today around 12:40 pm to look for a watch. Spent about half an hour browsing, but the shop was silent and the staff showed no interest in acknowledging or assisting me. The customer service was underwhelming enough that I decided not to spend any money there and went elsewhere.

Took a watch back because the face of the watch had detached on one side of the strap. As soon as I walked in the tall assistant who was just standing next to the cabinet, rolled her eyes. Anyway, I went up to her , she sighed and said yes. I told her what had happened. She practically accused me of breaking my own watch. Obviously did not want to help me. So, seeing me getting rattled, another lady stepped in and was very nice. She fixed my watch and apologised about her colleague. Who, btw , rolled her eyes . I was very happy with the other assistant but the one I originally went to for help was not nice at all. In fact , when I left the shop and walked back past, I heard her bitching about me and slagging me off. I nearly went back in to complain, which I now regret. I've been going to this shop for many years but if I see her working there I will definitely go somewhere else. I didn't get her name but she was tall ,brown hair , put up. I hope you teach her to be more professional in future. This happened just recently.
