There’s a lot of SCOPE … I HOPE THEY REALISE THIS IS 2026 AND NOT 2001

I think it’s the overall aura as you walk into the ICICI branch along with the interaction with the employees seems so depressing and rigid where the employees look like on their faces. There is a lot going in their head and in their lives and they can’t even afford to smile or just have a comfortable conversation..

I cannot imagine having a banker like this who I’m sharing my financial information or seeking financial advices for future investments we are single service transaction of getting bank statements can be so unprofessional and unwelcoming.

I felt special because I was just coming from Hdfc bank in Pune 400 m away from this ICICI branch in Kalyani Nagar

I am writing to express my…

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the services of ICICI Bank.

I am facing very poor customer care support. Despite multiple attempts, I have not received any proper response or callback from your customer care team.

Additionally, my salary account is being debited with several charges such as:

Debit card charges

ATM charges

And other miscellaneous charges

These deductions are happening without any clear explanation, while no proper service or support is being provided. It appears that the bank is more focused on deducting money from customers’ accounts rather than resolving their concerns.

This is extremely disappointing and unacceptable for a reputed bank like ICICI.

I request you to kindly look into this matter urgently, provide clarification for the deductions, and arrange a callback from your customer care team at the earliest.

If this issue is not resolved soon, I will be forced to escalate the matter to higher authorities.

Loan

I taken education loan from them back in 2024 when I came to Canada and right now I'm here as well.

Mr Suresh, all thanx to him for getting delayed the whole process and now I have forwarded my concern to Mr Pradeep (manager) who still has not replied on my update of EMI which got debited from my account towards theirs, on 4 Dec. Earlier someone by name of Megha told me that they have not received the amount (don't know how) and even when I have submitted the proof as well

My biggest mistake is that I taken loan from them and this review is not going to affect these shameless people

ECS reICICI Bank has one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve facedturn charges were debited multiple times without proper resolution, and despite repeated follow-ups, there is no clear explanation or accountability from the bank. The system blindly deducts charges, but customer support fails to provide any meaningful help.

There is absolutely no empathy toward customers, no transparency, and no timely resolution. For a bank of this size, such careless handling of customer issues is unacceptable. I strongly do not recommend ICICI Bank to anyone who values fair banking and responsive service.

worst customer assistant

I requested an NRI account from abroad while I already had a resident account, and they gave me a call within 2 days (which was fast, and I appreciate that). The customer attender asked me if I was free to talk; I said yes, and I explained my situation. She told me to log in to the account and submit the application while being on call, and then I told her, "I am outside at the moment; I might not be able to do the application, as the documents are on my laptop, and it's at home!" She got angry and raised her voice at me, asking, "If you're outside, why did you agree to have this conversation?" I understand that I have agreed to talk while I was free, but I don't think that means I will be able to use my laptop at the moment, and I clearly told her I am outside. I might not have access to documents, as polite as I can be, and I also asked her if she can guide me. I can try through the phone and understand the process, and I will do it as soon as I reach home. She abruptly ended the call, saying, "If you don't know how to do the application, what can I do?". She never assisted me and her job is to do customer assistance, if her day was bad, she should take a break and make the calls when she is fine. This was completely unprofessional.

Inefficient experience at ICICI branch

Took more than 1 hour to withdraw cash at teller on a Mon morning when bank was not that full. Teller told me to get token. Kiosk to print token super slow. Customers before me are using kiosk to update passbook, deposit check, etc. One kiosk for all this and print token also for my cash withdrawal. By the time my turn came after 20 mins or more kiosk frozen. Security told machine hung now go stand in line for another assistant who will print token on his app. Wait for another 15 mins as more customers who came in after me are now in queue with him. Such a pathetic experience.

Extremely Poor Experience

ICICI Bank is a pathetic bank with too many disconnected departments that constantly pass the buck instead of taking responsibility. No single team owns an issue, and customers are left chasing multiple units for the same problem.
Phone banking is absolutely useless. For even a simple issue, the bank raises at least five different service requests before anything actually gets resolved. Each request leads nowhere, and customers are forced to repeat the same explanation again and again.
Raising a complaint is another nightmare. After spending time typing out all your frustration and details, the system often throws an error message when you click submit, and the complaint is not registered at all. There is no follow-up, no accountability, and no urgency to fix issues.
Overall, ICICI Bank lacks coordination, effective customer support, and a reliable complaint-resolution process. The experience is exhausting and frustrating, and the bank clearly needs major improvements in customer service and internal communication.

Extremely poor service

Extremely poor service. I am an NRI customer and attempted to transfer funds abroad from my NRO account. ICICI Bank has blocked the transfer and is demanding source-of-funds documentation. However, when I asked why such proof is required only for outward remittance—while no documentation was requested when the same funds were credited into my ICICI account—I received no response.

Even more concerning, the bank is holding my money without processing the outward remittance and without allowing me to cancel the transaction and have the funds returned to my account. This is completely unacceptable and extremely frustrating.

To add to this, ICICI Bank continues to send frequent WhatsApp messages encouraging me to invest with them, while simultaneously restricting access to my own funds. This behaviour is unethical, unprofessional, and reflects a very poor service culture.

UNFAIR BANKING PRACTICES

I have committed a grave financial crime against @ICICIBank.

My crime? I rounded off to the nearest rupee and underpaid my 3 CC bills by 81 Paisas total, over 3 months 😱

The Punishment? After 20 YEARS of timely payments, the bank marked me as a "Defaulter" and tanked my CIBIL score from 800+ to 736.

Beware folks, your 2 decades of loyalty is worth less than 1 Rupee coin to this bank. 👏👏

Thieves...

Thieves. Grandad had left me a fixed deposit which matured when I turned 18 in 2017. Despite numerous complaints, I am unable to access the FD. Pradeep Kumar, Kumara Ganta, Mr Rajender and
Mr Yogesh have all been as unhelpful as possible. Don't expect to see this money from them in this lifetime.

Misconduct by Relationship Manager and Poor Service Experience

I have been banking with ICICI for over two decades, but the past year has been extremely disappointing. I was unable to log in to my mobile app, and the Relationship Manager assigned to me consistently failed to respond to my queries.

Due to the lack of support, I had to travel to India solely to close my account. I later learned that my RM had intentionally delayed the process, and I ultimately had to contact customer support directly to have my accounts closed. They assured me that my RM would send me the final account statements. When I did not receive them, I followed up with him—at which point he responded with verbal abuse and inappropriate WhatsApp messages.

I immediately escalated this to the bank and provided screenshots as evidence. However, I have not received any response, even after several days and multiple attempts to reach various managers.

This experience has been deeply distressing, and I regret ever banking with ICICI.
