Icici- rude attitude of customer support forcing to close group accounts
Giving a one, as a negative rating is not available. People in this bank talk like they have created this universe. Ruthless attitude and very rude with customers. I have had horrible experience with this bank and its high time for me to close all my accounts and move on with a bank who will treat customers with respect. They talk to clients as if we are begging with them. The other day one Moshini and today one Kalyan who called himself as the deciding authority made me feel that I should never ever bank with Icici gng fwd..really humiliating and disrespecfful

They are cheaters. Fraud and inefficiency at every stage. Two recent examples.
1. On premature FD, you lose money whereas HDFC pays you interest though lesser than the agreed FD rate.
2. Foreign remitance. despite having the salaries being deposited directly in their accounts, the unqualified associates ask some nonsense questions, delay the process. highly inefficient abd inept folks

My daughter who NRI applied for loan. No letter or mail was sent anout sanction of the loan. Relationship Manager, Ms Sandhya Shinde was asking for various documents not in toto & at a stretch but as and when she rember. No clear cut idea about the entire process. Hence we were running from pole to pillar for various reqirments from ICICI bank. She had no thorough knowledge abot her own job. Mails were written in very shabby and haphazard manner. Their mobile website and main personal login website is horrible. There is a constant struggle with account transfer requests and accessing personal information. It either keeps spinning, timesout, or get a message that try it later.

Stuck for Weeks Because of ICICI Bank’s KYC Glitch- No Help at All!
I’ve been banking with ICICI Bank for around 4 years, and honestly, this has been one of the worst banking experiences I’ve ever had. I rarely even use my Indian account- just for small Amazon purchases when I’m in India or when my family visits. Everything was fine until they suddenly started this KYC nonsense.
Being outside India, I had no idea about these requirements. When I tried updating my details online, the website kept throwing an error on the address submission page — the “Submit” button simply doesn’t work. For the past few weeks, I’ve been calling ICICI Bank almost every other day, and every time they promise to fix it “soon.” Weeks later, nothing has changed.
Because of their broken system, I couldn’t even make a simple purchase. I even asked them to just close my account out of frustration — but they said they can’t because the account must be “activated” first. What kind of logic is that? Absolutely ridiculous service.

Horrible customer service. No response. Despite sending documents the other department doesnt receive it. It is like an endless pit where you can drop all you want and still not find it. Terrible website and overall I wouldn't like to bank with them. We would think that NRI accounts would get a better service, but it is the same below average service. Can't wait to get rid of the account soon.

Bank advertise as fraudulent transactions will be handled genuinely. However it never happens. They just for temporary refund and ask us to provide cyber complaint number with all the details. They don’t do any investigation and charge the temporary refunded amount back. So useless service.

The branch in Scarborough is very helpful. The contact center for the bank is pathetic. Each time I make an interac e transfer, they do not release the funds for at least 2-3 business days. It's my money being transferred out, but they hold on to the funds and say technical issues. This is bs. I do the same transaction from another bank and it gets done in 10 minutes.

Terrible customer service
I had my mortgage with ICICI for 12 years. During the last 2 renewals, they have given me unfavourable rates and had no interest in lowering (though I shared how many banks would provide a lower rate). Their response was "it will cost you to move your mortgage". Well, it didn't.
When they were informed of my going elsewhere they immediately stopped collecting and paying my property taxes (a month before the mortgage was paid out). A payment was due, I was not notified and I was charged a penalty from the City for my property tax. Though the penalty was low, I was angry that they did not inform me of a payment due when they were registered as being responsible for paying my taxes and had my money to pay it!
Horrible customer service, terrible treatment of a customer who never had an issue with their mortgage, and at this point I am just glad to be gone.

I have been an ICICI Bank Shalimar Garden Branch customer for over a decade. In February last, I lost Rs. 2 lakh on an online transaction because of the ICICI Bank concerned person's negligence. The person never checked and matched the receiver's name and account number before letting the transaction go. ICICI did not obey the RBI ruling. But the stubborn ICICI won't accept their fault and won't compensate me. A very frustrating bank.
