I believe Wowhd to be another name for Wowcher. I tried the latter and received emails (OK) but I also had desktop 'pop-ups' frequently every day. I couldn't get rid of them via Wowcher, but I found references to Wowhd in the registry, deleted them and now all is well - no more annoying popups!

Ordered well before christmas and only came today 20 days later. Also didnt know need to pay customs fee! Furious will never order off them again.

I ordered Christmas presents which were shipped on 2nd December. They did not arrive until 4th January unlike they advised before Christmas and when I did receive them they were a different region. I am in Ireland and ordered from an Irish site so did not expect my discs to be made in Mexico with the wrong region and customer service were of no help. They said they had to be 45 days late before they would issue new ones so did not care they did not arrive for chriatmas like advised and didnt care i had to buy replacement presents and the only offered to accept return of the discs if unopened but of course we did not know about the region til we tried to play them. I will never again use their website

Ordered 'NEW' Blu-ray, it will be the first and last time I do.

I did research WOWHD for reviews beforehand and was concerned with some of the feedback but I really wanted this film and
it was cheaper than ordering through ebayuk, now I know why!

Item arrived in about 11 days in an undamaged adequate thin'ish brown ribbed package, not as good as a padded envelope imo.

Blu-ray was shrink wrapped. Upon opening the transparent outer sleeve is totally wrinkled, looks terrible, something I've never experienced with shrink wrapped items from retailers in the UK.

At the bottom of the spine some of the plastic has snapped off.
Now baring in mind this was sealed but there is no broken plastic to be found, very suspicious.

Now I notice the paper cover is protruding out quite a bit above the transparent sleeve. The front top edge of the paper cover has several small tears and scuffs. The disc itself has a finger mark on it, though does play ok.

Do they expect customers to believe this is 'NEW' and not 'USED' and re-sealed?

I contact WOWzersHolyDishonest??? letting them know my thoughts attaching several photo's. I inform them I will be
leaving feedback on trustpilot and bluray.com if the matter is not resolved to my satsifaction.

They replied within 24-48hrs offering me a measly 10% refund for the Blu-ray case damage or I can return it to the USA address given for an exchange or full refund.
They do not even acknowledge or mention the small tears to the paper cover or that I have been sent a 'USED' item even
if in error!

Now there is no way I am going to returm the item at my own risk which could go missing in the postal system, I would have to pay the postage and it would take up to 2 weeks or 4 weeks for an exchange to arrive.

Under protest I reluctantly accepted the 10% refund.

LET THIS BE A WARNING TO OTHER POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS.

they are criminals, do not order from them. they will trick you into buying stuff and then a few weeks later you get a new invoice where you have to pay more... they take no responsebility for this!

Over the years I have bought 100's CDs from WOW HD and their previous incarnation CD WOW with no problems at all. Dispatch is usually within 24 hours unless on back order. Delivery is slow but once you accept that it may take a couple of weeks then there is no problem. I did have one CD take about 45 days to arrive (not sure why that was so slow but I eventually received it) but usually delivery is within 15 days of dispatch. Since delivery is free it is best to order CDs individually as larger packages can take longer to arrive (and also avoid customs charges!!).

I've been a regular customer of Wowhd for a while now and no problem at all.Products are excellent,good value for money and free shipping too.
Delivery time takes a while but understandable as they are not local to NZ where I'm ordering from.
Would gladly recommend this shop!

Ordered twice from them, first shipment took as long as was estimated, and the second arrived quicker than expected. CDs where in perfect quality, no damages at all. Not sure why all the bad reviews, maybe people ordered items listed as "Back order" rather than stuff in stock (On their website it says a product on back order takes 40+ days).

Absolutely shocking company and would never use again.
Placed an order at the beginning of December 2017 and still waiting to receive the goods. Was told I had to wait 45 days before they would look into the status of my order, 45 days have now long passed and funnily enough I can't get any response out of them with regards to a full refund despite me contacting them on a daily basis. Absolute radio silence. Disgusting.
If anyone has any advice on how I can get a refund it would be greatly received.

Like some in here...I don't normally leave reviews but after ordering a UHD Blu Ray at a bargain price, i looked at the reviews here and thought "oh S*#&T! "....Well to my surprise the movie arrived 2 days later (Dec). I'm in the UK and was the first time ordering from the site.

I will defiantly order from them again in the future and will report back if things change.

Superb - ordered on Thursday, arrived in NZ Monday from the USA- vinyls in a box - no risk of damage - have used them dozens of times over the past 10 years without any issues and the best market prices. Surprised at the issues others have had - some plonker below thinks it can come to NZ with no custom duties - as if the stock is based in NZ!

Be very wary of using this company. I ordered a deluxe compilation cd as a present, all very straight forward until I receive a text from DHL to advise that I have to pay customs duty, vat and admin fee of €45 before they will deliver it! At no point was I advised that this order was being shipped from the US and that I would be responsible for these fees. Totally misleading customers by not divulging this information upfront! Also had to wait 3 days for a response from customer service. Currently trying to get a refund but not very hopeful. Will never use this website again!

My first experience with this firm was an order of 3 x CDs from the UK, placed on 3 September. I didn't realise (or didn't notice from the website) they would ship from the US, so I was disappointed that it took ten days for the CDs to arrive. But the CDs turned up ok and had I known they weren't coming from within the UK, I would have been perfectly satisfied. I did contact customer service to ask after my order, and the company responded within 24 hours which is totally acceptable. Would I use them again? Possibly not given the risk of delays at customs. p.s. there is no regional coding of CDs so don't worry about not being able to play them.

CDWOW, now WOWHD used to be a good company in the past, but they have gone from bad to worse now. I have placed and paid my order on July 12 and paid 45 euros and as today September 8, I have not received anything. Almost 2 months later. Not only did I not receive anything and lost my money, but I also was not sent a mail explaining the delay. And I could have bought these cds somewhere else and already have listened to my cds. Now, I am just waiting and waiting. As to their customer service. They don't have any. NEVER ORDER FROM HERE! BE WARNED!

Here is more news about my order from the UK page of WOWHD.
I have now received an email from them telling me that my order has been dispatched by international shipping and will take between 8-15 days to arrive. This is despite the fact that I ordered from the UK page and was under the impression that the items would be dispatched from the UK. At no point on the page does it state that the items will be supplied from the USA. Incidentally, the DVD's will be region 1 which are useless in the UK unless you've got a region free player. ( Not many people have, I haven't ).
I warn everybody, the UK page of WOWHD does not mean a thing as the DVD's supplied come from the USA and are Region 1.
WOWHD need to make this fact clearer to people instead of hiding this info on their info pages. IT NEED TO BE MORE UPFRONT WITH ITS INFORMATION. What a lousy company. !!!

I have used WowHD, including its previous incarnations (CD-Wow, etc) for quite a few years now, almost exclusively for DVDs. I would have bought over a 100 (at least) during that time and have had no trouble with deliveries. They let you know (and refund) if a title is no longer available, and some will be on back-order and are sent as soon as they are released. Usually arrive at my New Zealand home about a week after ordering. This is my "go to" firm for ordering DVDs from overseas and the prices are brilliant, especially when shipping and postage are included. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this firm.

Unacceptable customer service and totally rude. They claim they have been without email for 3 whole weeks which is why they haven't replied. This just highlights how much they value their customers. What company in their right mind wouldn't make communication one of their top priorities? Then when I finally get a reply, it's very passive aggressive and totally rude.

One star is probably one too many. Ordered two albums, only one arrived even though accompanying invoice noted that both were included. No response to e-mail. Won't be using again.

I have used these for many years and was always pleased with the service. But no so now I ordered a CD which never arrived and despite so many requests for a refund I have never received the curtesy of a reply. So i will never use this site again

Bought over 80 cds from wow hd before they changed over to an Amazon owned company.... never had trouble,and have recently ordered a cd...took over a month to get here but at the end of the day it arrived.
Bit of a long wait but at least I recieved it.
Would highly recommend wow hd.
