INTU Boiling Water Taps Reviews

I bought a Digital 4OUR Brushed Nickel & 4L Nexus 4-1 Square Instant Boiling Water Tap and chiller tank in November 2025. I never leave reviews on anything but felt strongly to do this review. I was immediately impressed by David at INTU when I initially enquired about his products , his knowledge and professionalism were exemplary. I was also very impressed by the quality and build of the products I purchased. When we were fitting the tap we had an install query, we rang the helpline and David answered almost immediately and video called us back and solved the issue at once. Never in 40 years of working in the interior design and room fitting industry have I had such direct positive help.
I left until now to write this review as the tap has had 4 months of constant use and I cannot fault it ( and I am a very fussy person) , it is perfect. I changed the filter today and it couldn’t have been easier. Over the years in this business we have supplied to clients 3 other well known brands of boiling water taps. This INTU product beats them all on design, ease of fitting beneath a sink , ease of installation, quality build and materials but above all PRICE and customer back up.

We bought a 4 way tap and boiler and it worked great for about a year before the main boiler unit leaked. After some back and forth, which was eventful with the owner, the unit got sent away to be fixed at a cost to us, this lasted for about another 6-8months before the thermostat went and water wouldn’t heat. Only option was to purchase a new tank, we did get a reduction in price due to the issues with the first tank. This new unit is a newer version, it was fitted, now everytime it boils the tap sporadically runs water even though taps are off, the tap drips at random moments, and water struggles to get above 95 in temp. Overall I wouldn’t buy another one and would strongly save further for a more reputable brand. After only a couple of years from the original purchase until now it’s been annoying. Yes this can happen with standard kettles to, however replacing those are a much lower cost. If something happens to this unit I will face the cost and replace the whole system with either a different hot tap company or go back to kettles. I pay a healthy priced subscription for a filter every few months to, so it adds up buying this unit.

Failed after 3 years!!! Leaking water blowing electrics.
I can see other people have also had the same issue as us and sure there will be a lot more to come as the tanks get older!
Only option to pay for repair £120 or pay for a new one!!!!!

Recommend an alternative superior brand as you clearly get what you pay for both in the product and customer service!!!

Great product

After selecting one from the vast array of options the order process was quick and simple. The items arrived, very well packaged, the following day. We opted for the INTU installation service and were very glad we did. The fitter gave us a very quick install date, a few days, then arrived exactly as arranged. The installation was very quick and efficient and we were given instruction and advice prior to the area being thoroughly cleaned up. The tap operation is very smooth, looks really good and works exactly as described.

They KNOW all about hot-taps. Very easy website, Really helpful with my questions and not jargon based, I actually undertand about hot - taps and filters now. Great communication

The pre sale help was good and efficient. The product is excellent. I didn’t know how much I needed it until I got it. Installing it went well (according to my plumber).

We’ve had an Intu boiling tap for about 5 years. In that time we’ve had to contact them multiple times with faults. The first time they did agree to replace the boiler unit, except that they no longer made the one that we originally purchased, so they replaced it with a lower spec alternative. Since then, we’ve had nothing but problems. It leaks, drips, streams water randomly, and sometimes doesn’t turn off.

I was so severely burned by it not turning off that I had to go to A&E with a roughly 8 x 5cm scald that required several months of treatment. After several attempts by Intu to “repair” (they refused to replace it”), my daughter was almost burned by it this week.

We have now turned off the boiler and will be replacing the entire product because this one is clearly not safe for use, or fit for purpose.

First the hot tap would not shut off properly then when I changed the filter it wouldn't recognize it was a new filter and kept beeping when I used the hot water tap and now it started leaking from the tank so I would not recommend this hot water tap

What a great team at INTU
I thought this kind of service had been lost, we called at INTU in Euxton to find out more about the boiling water taps with the intention of buying one. The showroom has a large amount of taps on display there we met Dave who talked us through what we were looking for he is obviously very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with and that continued throughout Dave said if you have any problems when installing the tap just give him a call and he will talk me through it and he was true to his word I phoned him 4 times and he sorted the problem out in a professional manner.

1 Year Later Having now had our Tap and Boiler for 1 year. Happy to report no problems at all. The tap is as good as new, retaining its mirror finish.
Boiler 100% not had any problems just changed filter as instructed, we live in a very soft water area so limescale non existent for us. Recommend the filter subscription, saves money and you don’t forget to change in that way
Just remember if your electric goes off you need to switch the boiler back on manually it doesn’t switch back on manually
