Are you aware that Council Repairs spends money on each call out regardless if there is no access. However, if a contractor simply telephones Eg from their car or at their prior late running job and tenant doesn’t pick up the phone, the contractor may not be bothering to knock on the door and just go by a phone not being answered. Hard if you have fluctuating reception. Council repairs need to issue cards to the contractors to put through letterboxes with time noted as proof that they actually came to the front door. This is happening too often when we are in at the cost of each day’s work pay. Costing the taxpayer and costing a tenant’s pay.

Islington Council employees TRIED TO STEAL MY PARENTS’ HOUSE! They tried to literally steal their house merely on the grounds that the house needed some re-decorating and renovation, using a corrupt statute corrupt politicians had made up specially for this purpose. They then told my mother they would loan her the money for renovation providing she agreed to give over a portion of the house to council tenants, which of course she didn’t do, because she’s not stupid! If she had done that, the council would have claimed possession of part of the house!

Councils throughout the UK are known for stealing houses - putting a charge on property with what they claim is unpaid Council Tax so that if the house is sold they can take a large portion. They are also known for getting over 60s who have paid their mortgage sectioned so that they can sell their house and put them in care.

Employees of the legal fiction and corporation known as Islington Council broke into my council flat using violence when I was out of the country burying a parent before the date the appointment I made for the gas safety check had come, because I made the appointment for a few days after I was due to return. I had already made a gas safety appointment before I travelled to bury my parent for which I stayed home from 8am to 6pm but the gas safety staff failed to turn up at all, then lied and recorded that they came and rang but there was “no access”. I found this out when I rang the Repair Line to complain. I then tried to make another appointment to take place before I travelled a week later but was told there were none available, so then I made an appointment for a few days after I was due to return. I then specifically asked the call staff to put a note on the computer explaining my situation because, I told her, I did not want my flat to be broken into while I was away, because I already knew the coercive, threatening nature of council staff.She assured me she would do this, YET BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT WAS DUE, ISLINGTON COUNCIL STAFF BROKE IN AND ENTERED MY FLAT!! THEY DESTROYED THE DOOR AND LEFT A MESS!! They got a warrant from Highbury Magistrates Court under false pretences. I have later learned that the warrant may have been fake, because Councils and Utility companies have been found to fake warrants, which when the reference number is checked with the courts, it is found not to exist. Councils are also known to FRAUDULENTLY ACT AS THEIR OWN COURTS, with regards to Council Tax, renting rooms at the court and hiring lawyers to act as Magistrates! This is a crime under certain Statutes and Acts.

When I made a complaint I found out further how corrupt and crooked these council staff are (because I had already known for a long time). As I expected, the complaints department woman was extremely dishonest, appalling and arrogant in her response. I also went to the magistrates court and told them what happened. The woman in reception asked me to put it in writing, then she stamped my letter to pass on to court staff.

A female court staff outrageously posted my letter back to me rudely telling me to make a complaint to the council, when I already mentioned that I did that in the letter. Breaking and Entering is a criminal offence, a matter for the police and courts! It is not a matter to be dealt with by the council’s corrupt, pitiful, appalling complaints process where they are judge and jury over themselves! The response was disgusting and abusive and shows the magistrates court staff to be corrupt also!

Solicitors - a very deeply corrupt, harmful profession - refused to help me take legal action against these abusers, telling me to .. you guessed it .. make a complaint.

When I initially phoned my Tenancy Management Adviser to complain, he told me council staff that had nothing to do with gas safety had also entered my flat and TOOK PHOTOS, which they sent him! They had no right to do that and when I phoned the woman who did it to question her, she was clearly nervous! I included this in my complaint and asked for a copy of the photos and that they be destroyed, since it was done without my consent. When my complaint was progressed to “Corporate Complaints” it was responded to by an employee who lied from the start and even REFUSED TO DESTROY THE PHOTOS THEY SHOULD NEVER HAVE TAKEN! THIS IS A BREACH OF THE DATA PROTECTION ACT, GDPR!

They may have even stolen some of my property, because Islington Council staff have stolen my property before.

I have suffered great abuse and distress at the hands of Islington Council staff many other times, things that have caused me years of pain and suffering. I even know of a 74 year old father of a friend who, after years of harassment from them, was “evicted” (at the age of 74) by having the locks changed on him while he was out.

The locksmith just called and cancelled todays appointment - meaning that my balcony door is still unable to close and allowing in the cold weather. This on top of the fact I STILL HAVE NO HEATING.

I previously made a complaint about the locksmith - this was the third appointment where they were actually supposed to fix it. But again, another missed appointment. And me living with a broken open balcony door and no heating - since 3/4/2023.

Please add this to my existing complaint. And assist in getting me heating and security.

All of these issues should have been fixed before I signed the tenancy. And all of them impact my health, security and wellbeing.

I see that the people who work for this organisation, have further disenfranchised, and marginalised the elderly and disabled people where I live in Durham Road N7. They have erected parking suspensions, in order that G Network may lay its fibre broadband cables and equipment. I'd like to ask the clowncil where it expects people with mobility issues to park while all this work is being undertaken? Not content with banning disabled drivers from LTNs, disabled people are being further put upon by the imposition of further parking restrictions so that a private business can get a foothold in the area? I also wonder how many brown envelopes the clowncil were bunged, to get this project over the line??

All I wanted to do was hand in a correspondence sent in error to my Mum's address, simple. One security officer lacked verbal dexterity and politeness, made a big to do like an overgrown child, his reaction was akin to someone being presented with a squashed spider. Come on, show some manners and decorum. Customer service begins at front of desk, kindly remember this.

A completely useless and corrupt organization. They are an embarrassment. No help whatsoever, you have more chance of getting Elvis on the phone than someone from these jokers. They do not reply to emails either, the only time they show some life if it's to get some money off of you.

You may as well go on YouTube and look how to do your own repairs, as these clowns won't sort it for you. The ASB team are as useful as a chocolate teapot. I HATE ISLINGTON COUNCIL WITH A PASSION.

Islington council is not just wilfully incompetent but is a local authority that simply operates like a mob. Not only does it have complete disregard for laws and regulations, it intimidates and bullies vulnerable complainants in order to silence them.

It is run by unscrupulous, deeply prejudiced and morally bankrupt staff and elected representatives who abuse their positions with impunity in order to mercilessly discriminate against those left without a voice, and whose relentless lying can only be described as pathological.

The most inept and inefficiently-run Council I've experienced in London.
Operationally, the institution is a complete mess.
In order to improve, they need to provide feedback channels that someone can use to instruct meaningful improvements, but it seems like they really just don't care.

Another borough completely out of touch with reality. £11 to park a petrol car for 90 minutes? What the f...... and it's a sh** hole.. if I want to buy from the shops what are my options? Risk injury by train or bring my tiny little petrol engine car emitting less carbon that daisy farting in a field.. get a grib og yourselves there is NO CLIMATE EMERGENCY ALL THE PLANETS ARE HEATING UP DUE TO EXTREME SOLAR ACTIVITY WAKE UP..

Islington Council are abusers but they are in a position of power which leaves no option but to be abused. I go to therapy because of them.

I have given a star because I can’t give less. Worst service I have ever received. I don’t know why we pay so much if when you need help anyone is going to help you. I have been waiting more than a month to get a key replacement, they always tell you that they will get back but never did it. If you are living alone, expect to be left on the street by this useless council service

I would like to leave a positive review for Steve Dave Reece and James from b10 and b8 department for an amazing job with the communal area / garden.They had great customer service and impeccable manners.
They have been amazing you need more workers like them.

When I first went online to pay my parking fine, I was feeling very negative towards Islington, like I was being ripped off for a ridiculously petty 'technicality' fine where I had caused nobody any obstruction and that the fine was being enforced only for the sake of raising revenue, nothing else. But after I started the payment process using Islington's 'Shopping Basket' system the whole experience was transformed and I then felt like I was having a really enjoyable and cuddly, pink, fluffy online SHOPPING session! Really clever how they do that, I'm now going to make sure I get lots more fines so that I can put further 'items in my Islington Shopping Basket' in the future! Just Magical!

Absolutely horrendous. I have been emailing my housing officer since Jan this year, but he can’t even answer it. Absolutely outrageous. Why have this job? If you are not doing it!!

I also contacted the generic email and they are also useless, with them obviously not reading the email and writing down something which has nothing to do with it.

If I could put 0 star I would.

What an absolutely useless council. Have been complaining since October 2021 about the health and safety of two trees that are overhanging my property and causing damage. I have complained a number of times and each and every time has fallen on deaf ears. However if a black bag was left outside an hour early, someone from the council knocking on your door. Disgusting.
