Why are more roads in Islington closed I thought there wasn’t going to be more closures now cross street and all the other streets now closed so everything has now got to drive on the main road Essex road it’s a joke cars sitting in traffic how is that helping with the pollution a drive that normally takes me 10 mins yesterday took me 45 mins what a joke

i am calling repair team for 2 weeks and send them message on there website Communal Repairs Online - Communal Repairs Reporting Form
no one is helping i really don't know what is going on?
i have tried many ways only machine voice talking, i stay there for a hour it keep saying that I am in queue for hour i keep calling again and again. no luck

UNSYMPATHETIC PARKING SERVICE DURING COVID 19 PERIOD.
THE ISLINGTON COUNCIL HAS ISSUED PCN TICKET, WHEN ENTERING TO A PEDESTRIAN ZONE TO GET MY COVID19 JAB AT 15.39, JUST 6 MINUTES AWAY TO 15.45 PM AND WAS CHARGED PENALTY OF £130.00 DURING COVID19. THE WHOLE COUNTRY WAS IN IN LOCKDOWN AND PEOPLE WERE DYING EVERYDAY. THE COUNCIL DID NOT WAIVE THIS PENALTY, DUE TO GETTING MY JAB AND I APPEALED AGAINST THEIR DECISION AND HAVE TO PAY £130.00.
VERY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED TO PAY THE PCN, WHEN THE WHOLE COUNTRY WAS IN SHOCK AND FREIGHTENED, DUE TO THIS LIFE THREATENING PERIOD.
THE ISLINGTON COUNCIL DID NOT SYMPATHISE TO ROAD USERS, WHEN THE COUNCIL WORKERS WERE WORKING FROM HOME, DUE TO THE DEADLY PANDEMIC OF CORONAVIRUS.
SIX MINUTES EARLIER TO USE THE ROAD TO GET MY COVID19 JAB HAS CAUSED ME A HUGE LOSS TO ME AND WAS BADLY PENALISED BY THE COUNCIL'S COLD-HEARTED AND UNSYMPATHETIC PEOPLE. THERE IS NO SO-CALLED HUMANITY LEFT AT THE ISLINGTON COUNCIL, WHICH HAS CAUSED ME A HUGE LOSS GETTING MY VACCINATION.
THIS WAS ONE OF MOST RUBBISH ATTITUDE AND WAS WEIRD TO CHARGE THAT MUCH MONEY FROM A PERSON, WHO WAS ON HEALTH GROUNDS AND NO SYMPATHY ON DISABLED PERSON.
ANYWAYS, I GOT VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH ISLINGTON COUNCIL AND THEIR OPPRESSION. MISTAKES DO HAPPEN AND IN THIS SITUATION, EVEN GOD FORGIVE US, BUT THE COUNCIL, DON'T HAVE ANY SOUGHT OF SYMPATHY TOWARDS THE INDIVIDUALS AND THAT IS TOTALLY SHAMBOLIC.

Contacted the EHD due to severe disrepair in a private rented flat, basically a slum landlord.

In the beginning everyone I spoke with said they would help with legal advice and support me throughout. No one did. In the end it was a struggle with them as well as with the landlord, they more or less supported the slum landlord against me.

Eventually, after involving MPs and Councillors, they had to serve a notice of improvement on the landlord. They did not enforce the notice, stopped communicating, then the landlord served me an eviction notice. The flat is still wet and moldy.

Don't contact these people, they will argue and cause as much confusion as possible. They will support a slum landlord and will offer no support or advice at all, they will make a horrible situation absolutely escalate beyond belief.

Forget about making a complaint; they will reply with something completely different that what you complained about and eventually become rude. Don't believe anything you read on their very helpful websites. Truth and Islington Council don't get on well. Avoid contacting them and your life will be better for it.

If I could take the 1 star away I would. Could not write this review without picking one.

My stress levels go through the roof whenever I have to try to call these people. Wait on hold for over an hour just to get cut off. Useless, why do we pay for this pethetic excuse for a service. Working from home? More like out shopping or socialising.
Even the complaints department is an answer phone message. Useless.
Useless, Useless.

Another missed appointment by council repairmen, 4 hours waiting for them and no show. Dysfunctional and corrupt management lining their own pockets.

This council are completely useless and corrupt.

You have got more chance of speaking to Elvis than anyone from this bunch of charlatans. They do nothing to help you, repairs are done by cowboys, if they ever do them at all, but God forbid if you are a pound short on your rent, you will be threatened with eviction.

As for the ASB team, they are about as much use as a chocolate teapot, they do nothing, plus they have a very horrible women called Maria Genovese who works for them, a vile rude women who needs a course in how to communicate with people, plus some new hair dye.

Never able to get to speak to a housing officer when it comes to dealing with Antisocial behaviour. My issue has bee going on for 3 years with no resolve, not even a dedicated case manager.
I made a complaint to the CEO office of Islington and they did not respond in the time they said, the case still remains unsettled.
Councils are suppose to be looking after tenants, when it seems they are simply lazy, disorganised and will happily call and chase law abiding hard working citizens who pay their bills, but once one payment is delayed, Islington's communication becomes very active, however when chasing a complaint, "there is no one answering the phone" and leaving a message to call back is beyond useless.
The entire council should be fired and started again, what a waste of tax payer's money.

Islington is a dump and local council are using cars has cash cow. Profiteering. If their carry on then islington will become a ghetto. I know of companies in area are pushing up their prices up because the council.

Really hard to get in touch with this council office, as they wrote on their website to answer all complaints with in 10days if not in 21days but I haven't heard from them almsot one month since I made a complain and waiting to accelerate the case to other party that is local goverment abdursman 12 weeks to get a respond anyway I lived in the council almost 13yrs and start biding since 2015 but no a single chance I got at this moment I am homless, the council provided the phone no on their site but its not possible to get in touch with the rehousing department they are untouchable and unreachable. Generally it's hard to addressed my issues.

I worked for islington, a few years back , if you ask anyone who knows me or anyone I worked for I'm extremely hard working and go out of my way to do extra for anyone as I like seeing smiles on peoples faces I'm a level 3 carpenter for many years now over 12 , anyway at islington from top managers only two but they were very influential I was harassed called names off the record their is no equal treatment at this company and they dont care how hard you work if they dont like your face or how you speak , diversity etc. Your stuffed I was bullied even when I suffered extreme depression and anxiety they did not assist me this is just a brief description also do not trust the union at this company they will shaft you also.

In further desperation, the sensible thing to do to get rid of Ratty would be to give the local council a bell, it seemed. They had a very sensible webpage on their services and I felt confident. The phone rang, someone picked it up and replaced the receiver, cutting me off. Everyone deserves a second chance, so I phoned Islington Council Pest Control again. The same thing happened - someone answered the call and immediately replaced the receiver. No wonder Islington is crawling with rats. You cannot even get past the first post with the council's own pest control services. The phone just goes down when you call. Pretty bad. I tried to complete their feedback form and for some reason the page developed an error when I pressed send. Islington Council Pest Control seem to have it all worked out.
