Sale of house
Fairly efficient process and quick with responses. The house sale went through in good time, most of the hold-ups were caused from the buyer's side.
Excellent solicitor, highly recommend
From start to finish the whole experience with Nigel was clear, concise and went the extra mile to ensure that our house purchase and sale was seamless, cannot recommend highly enough
It has been an absolute pleasure…
It has been an absolute pleasure working with Claire & Somia during the sale of our property. A very smooth and informative transaction where myself and my wife were kept up-to-date during every step of the sale. Thank you again for all of your help, we will be working with you both again in the near future when we eventually decide upon the purchase of our new home...thank you both again

Leashia and Sarah at Ison Harrison Solicitors Guiseley leeds
Leashia and Sarah at Ison Harrison Solicitors were very helpful, constructive and patient with me as I didn't fully understand the process of selling 2 properties and buying another at the same. I would certainly recommend this firm. Thank you both once again for your help.
Diabolical
The firm dealt with two processes: Coroner's Inquest and a civil claim based on the neglect from the coroner's inquest.
Gemma Vine was amazing, but she only dealt with the Coroner's Inquest side.
The civil side of the claim was dealt with by Megan Spurr and Gareth Naylor. It was approximately 3/4 of a year, with plenty of requests, before Megan provided the initial contracts for the claim. Upon receiving the contracts Megan made up a reason in attempt to pressure the contracts being signed when I told her I would take the time to read and understand before signing - upon having my suspicions that the reason was fake I contacted a third-party Barrister, and the Barrister confirmed it was indeed likely a ploy to pressure the signing of the contracts; the Barrister has advised me to report the firm to the Solicitor Regulation Authority based on the action.
When Megan failed to pressure the forms into being signed without being read, Gareth Naylor contacted me and attempted to pressurise the signing of the forms, tried discrediting the third-party barrister after I brought her up. I tried to understand from Gareth what his reasoning was to why I could not take a couple of days to understand the forms before signing and returning them, and I pointed out if they were so important then they would not have provided the forms just 6 days prior to this phone call, to which he struggled to provide an answer and changed the subject back on to blaming me if the claim falls through. Anyway, the "reason" they used to have the forms signed so quickly (a pathologist report being done) came to pass, and as suspected: it had no affect on the claim.
I uncovered the reason the firm did not wish to allow time for the forms to be understood: they had hidden fees, effectively charging double.
They also blamed me to other parties as to why there was a delay in them actioning anything, when it was with them for such a lengthy period, and with me for a week.
Great communication for my house sale
Great communication from Leashia and Sarah, it was a fairly smooth process overall.
I have sold two houses through Ison Harrison and would not hesitate to use their services again.
Pedantry and Obfuscation
I have been unfortunate to have had peripheral dealings with this firm who are pedantic and devoid of common-sense. I recommend that potential clients steer well clear.
Settlement Agreement 5*
Quick, efficient and professional advice on a settlement agreement.
Personal injury accident
I got in contact with Ison Harrison for help regarding a personal injury accident. Tracey was very knowledgeable and professional. She advised and guided me through the whole process.
Thank you Tracey!
I am only leaving 1 star as it does not…
I am only leaving 1 star as it does not allow me to leave 0.
Where do I start, this company managed to only transfer half of a property, despite confirming in writing that they understood what needed to be transferred. Rachel Warsop, one of the partners, then went radio silent, refusing to respond to emails goading me to use the ombudsman, knowing that it would take an age to get any sort of response. To make matters worse, when I logged a complaint about Rachel, the person assigned to deal with with the complaint within the firm, was Rachel!
The whole ISON Harrison setup is questionable and certainly far from the professional legal practice you would hope. The standard of service I received, I would have been better to have carried out the transaction myself. I would urge anyone to go as far away as possible from this firm as they are not capable of the simplest of transactions.
Brilliant and professional
This firm of solicitors is fantastic, the best I've ever used, I've just moved house and I had Tanya Hastings dealing with us, she is genuinely the nicest person ever and nothing is to much trouble, she gave us updates daily, sometimes twice daily, an absolutely lovely lady.
Definitely would recommend
Yunus was incredibly competent, helpful and professional. Would definitely recommend his services.
Amazing service
Dealt with Mia Cecchini with the sale of our business.
It was a pretty tight schedule and she worked beyond and above any legal help I have ever had.
Amazing service. Nice polite and keen to help. Even had phone calls out of hours.
I highly recommend.
Professionalism and efficiency at its very best.
We have finally moved after various setbacks and through it all Claire Loftus and Somia Hussain guided us through all aspects of the legalities of moving house. We found they were exceptional in the way they always responded to our queries and explained everything thoroughly and efficiently and kept us informed throughout the whole process. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
Pamela & Daniel Mollan
Easy to contact and approachable staff
Easy to contact and approachable staff.
What could have been a very challenging process was made so much easier by the supportive staff in both Ilkley and Guiseley team.
Thanks
Terrible attitude
I reached out to Ison Harrison when I was advised I needed to seek legal advice to continue a settlement agreement with a former workplace. I went straight to IH as they had been the solicitors we used to manage my late father's will and estate when he passed away in 2017 and they had been lovely then. This time, however, my experience was completely different. The solicitor I was put through to was rude and dismissive, arrogant, and withheld key information from me over the phone.
I repeatedly relayed to the solicitor on the phone and in my emails that I am non-binary transgender and had the correct pronouns etc. in my email footers. I then found out that the solicitor had been misgendering me in all his official correspondence with the former employer.
I had been assured over the phone that all legal fees, per the settlement agreement, would be invoiced and payable by the former employer. It was only 3 months later after everything was signed and done that they suddenly told me I owed them £300. I paid because I do not have the capacity with my health to get into a protracted dispute, but I am not happy about this at all.
Excellent service
Ison Harrison Solicitors were highly recommended to me for buying my first property. I cannot fault them. Everything was simple and easy. Excellent communication throughout. Updated and kept informed. Emails with queries replied to quickly. Very professional and kind. I cannot thank you enough. Big thanks to Kathryn Gladwell & Rebecca Southgate. Would definitely recommend.
