OUTRAGEOUS exploitation of older people

I could not write a lower review of this company or the trails of the companies that flaunt under its banner attempting to disguise themselves in a web of deception and outright, blatant and unapologetic bullying of our cherished older generation!
this company not only falsified the details of a proposed sale to my 88 year old mother but refused to leave her house until she signed an agreement and commitment to £3000 of spend! - I am calling out the salesman and ALL of the customer services team who i had the unpleasant experience of attempting to deal with! i have seen pressure sales in many shapes and to say my mother was completely ripped off is only the very start of this story! slopey shoulders and complete derogation of everything that is humane is the USP of this despicable company and every different company name they portray as!
worthwhile noting my 88 Year old mother is being harrassed by other companies attempting to exploit our older generation and there is no doubt in my min that 'Joes Doors' have sold her information as an 'easy target' ? stay clear people ! stay VERY clear …
In response to the reply to the above!
Check your CS phone and email records as there are many many instances of both where I and my mother called to raise our concerns and were simply told that as she’s signed a contract, she was bound by the terms …..no cooling off period! You have all the records to investigate yourselves JoesDoors but very much doubt you will conduct any form of internal enquiry!

We are extremely concerned by the allegations made in this review, particularly as we have been unable to identify the reviewer as a customer of ours or validate the circumstances described.

We categorically reject the suggestion that we falsify sales information, pressure customers into signing agreements, refuse to leave customers’ homes, or deliberately target older people. These are extremely serious allegations and should not be presented as fact without evidence.

We have no customer record that enables us to substantiate the claims made in this review, and the reviewer has not provided any customer details that would allow us to investigate the alleged circumstances. We therefore have no way of verifying that the events described ever took place.

It is also important to point out that we have previously identified instances of competitors posting or arranging misleading and/or false reviews about our business, and we have successfully taken action in relation to this. We therefore cannot simply assume that an anonymous or unverifiable review represents a genuine customer experience.

We are not suggesting that every negative review is from a competitor — genuine complaints are taken seriously and investigated — but where someone cannot be identified as a customer and makes a series of exceptionally serious allegations without providing any information to substantiate them, we are entitled to question the authenticity of the review.

We also categorically deny the allegation that we sell customer information. That is an extremely serious accusation, and there is absolutely no evidence provided here to support it.

We have many genuine customers, including older customers, and we would never consider someone’s age a reason to treat them differently or as an “easy target”. We are particularly disappointed to see such an accusation made without any identifiable customer relationship or evidence.

If this reviewer is genuinely a customer, or is acting on behalf of a customer, we invite them to provide the customer name, reference number and details of the alleged transaction directly to our Customer Care Team so that we can investigate the matter properly.

Without that information, these allegations remain completely unsubstantiated.

My parents recently ordered quartz…

My parents recently ordered quartz worktops from this company and paid almost 4k .. instead of sending full pieces as ordered with the joints being where herself and the surveyor had agreed instead they sent pieces they already had and tried to fob off my parents with joints that were unacceptable, this resulted in the work being done again and my mum being inconvenienced both with time wasted and also materials in her way for a further 10 days later to rectify their mistake .. then has the cheek to leave all their rubbish used on this job in my mums garden that she could very well have fallen over .. when rang a week later they said well we can come in a week .. a week is not good enough as rubbish & waste should be removed from a job immediately as would any good workman but not this company.. instead my mum paid for this to be removed herself .. Luckily my mum will not be coined off by poor workmanship because they certainly did try their best to do just that

I originally gave this company a 4⭐️ now 2⭐️

I originally gave this company a 4⭐️, but problems are surfacing about 18 months since fitted.
My Mother paid over£6k for a few doors to be replaced and new worktops placed over the old ones, along with new sink and taps.
The latest issue we have had has led me to write this review again…..
My Mother has had a serious leak from the tap area that has ruined the kitchen flooring and carcass of the sink unit due to what looks like poor workmanship on the fitting of the taps. As you can see in the photos, (can’t add photos) the pins are too long and have been rubbing on the protective flexible leads which have split … also the tap has a requirement of 50mm diameter hole to allow flexibility and correct fitting, Mothers is 35 mm with very rough edges which have been widened by a drill bit I would guess… I know have to brain a new tap, pipes and figments to correct a job that we paid £700 fitment charge for.
NO Recommendation from us.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’ve experienced an issue with your mother’s kitchen and appreciate how frustrating it must be, particularly when it has resulted in damage to the surrounding area.

We’re always disappointed when a customer feels they haven’t had the experience they expected. You mention that you originally gave us a 4-star review; however, we can only see one review from this account, which is the review currently posted. We therefore haven’t been able to identify the earlier review you refer to.

We also haven’t received any contact from you regarding the issue described, so we haven’t had the opportunity to inspect the tap installation or establish what has caused the problem. We would always want the opportunity to investigate any concern properly before conclusions are drawn as to responsibility or workmanship.

We would be very happy for our Customer Care Team to look into this for you. Please email customercare@quartzizeworktops.co.uk with your mother’s details and we can locate the installation and discuss the concerns raised.

We genuinely value our customers and would welcome the opportunity to understand what has happened and see how we can assist

Avoid if you value your sanity

My parents had wanted to renovate their kitchen for years. After carefully saving and arranging the necessary finance, they decided to put their trust in this company.

From the very beginning, the installation was unacceptable. The fitter left the house in a mess, even cutting cupboards inside our kitchen while using nothing more than a towel to catch the debris. After being specifically asked not to do this, he returned to carry out remedial work and did exactly the same thing again. The quality of the installation itself was poor: several doors didn’t fit correctly, others weren’t delivered at all, and sawdust was left throughout the house, damaging our stair carpet (therefore had to be ripped up and thrown). We raised these issues immediately, yet none of us were satisfied with the outcome.

The workmanship is disappointing, but our biggest issue has actually been the customer service. My mum has spent weeks worrying about this kitchen and has been left to chase the company constantly. Every concern she raises is treated as though it’s insignificant, despite the company itself agreeing that remedial work was required. By definition, remedial work is carried out to fix or improve something that is lacking—and that perfectly sums up this installation.

What has made this experience so frustrating is not just the poor standard of work, but the complete lack of care shown towards us as customers. A kitchen is a major investment, and my parents were promised a high-quality product and professional service. Instead, they’ve been left stressed, disappointed, and dealing with issues that should never have existed in the first place.

The lasting impression isn’t just the poor installation—it’s the shameful customer service. I genuinely wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.

Thank you for your review.

We are unable to identify who has left this review, as it has not been posted by our customer. We therefore cannot comment on specific details or verify the accuracy of the statements made.

We do, however, take issue with the suggestion that we provide “shameful” customer service. Over the last month alone, we have introduced a number of improvements to further enhance the support we provide to our customers. Whilst we advise that responses may take up to 72 working hours, in practice every customer enquiry received Monday to Friday is responded to within 24 hours.

Where genuine issues arise during any installation, we do not ignore them. We arrange inspections where necessary, order replacement components where required, and schedule remedial visits to ensure any outstanding items are addressed. This is part of our commitment to delivering the finished product our customers expect and does not mean we are dismissive of concerns.

As we cannot verify the identity of the reviewer or discuss another customer’s account publicly, we would ask that if you are directly involved with a current installation, you contact our Customer Care team at customercare@quartzizeworktops.co.uk with the relevant order details so we can review any concerns appropriately.

My new cooker hood was installed…

My new cooker hood was installed despite a big hole above it that had been found when the old one was removed. The company offered to take it down and put it back up to ebable the plastering to be done above it if i paid them 300 pounds.I refused to pay this as they should not have put it up knowing it would have to come down for the plastering to be done.I could not leave a big hole above the new smart cooker hood spoiling the look of my kitchen makeover and had to employ 2 men to come and take it down and do the plastering needed and reinstall the hood. More kitchen mayhem and expense for me a pensioner.

We are sorry to read that you remain dissatisfied.

The cooker hood was installed in accordance with the agreed installation and was fully functional upon completion. The opening in the wall above the extractor was not created during our installation; it was a pre-existing hole left from the removal of your previous extractor and required plastering to achieve your desired decorative finish.

Plastering and making good to walls does not form part of our installation service. We did, however, offer to return and remove and reinstall the cooker hood after the plastering had been completed to assist you. As this would have required an additional visit and further labour outside the original scope of works, there would have been a charge for this service.

We appreciate this was not the outcome you had hoped for, however we do not believe it was unreasonable to charge for additional work that fell outside the agreed installation. The cooker hood was installed correctly, and any subsequent removal to allow separate plastering work was not the result of a fault with the installation.

Joe's doors were great

Joe's doors were great, a proper 5 star experience, until just after the warranty on my cooker hood ran out, then it was pretty much a case of "sorry not our problem".

Hi Lenz,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you had a 5-star experience with your kitchen installation, although we’re sorry to learn that you were disappointed with the support you received regarding your cooker hood.

As the manufacturer’s warranty had expired, our advice would have been based on the warranty terms in place at the time. However, we never want a customer to feel that we’ve simply said, “it’s not our problem.”

If you’d be happy to contact our Customer Care team at customercare@quartzizeworktops.co.uk, we’d be pleased to review your case and see if there’s anything further we can do to help.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and hope to have the opportunity to restore your confidence in us.

Lovely rep. Beautiful products.

The sales representative from Joe's doors, Matthew Norman, was very polite and professional. He has a wide knowledge of all the products, which are absolutely beautiful, and had bought many samples for us to choose from. Thank you Matthew for all your help and patience.

A great company for a refurbishment!

A great company to upgrade your kitchen! It cost a little more than I would have expected but in fairness, the quality is excellent, and it’s been a flawless experience from start to finish! Andrew and Paul came in on Monday to fit the doors, followed by Jake (to fit the worktops and new sink), and Steve (to connect the new hob). All the installers were very professional and polite throughout the installation, as well as being very polite. They also did a great job of cleaning up! After sales is spot on as well. Highly recommended!
