Straight to the trouble(s) - and fixed all reasonably
I went to another, well-meaning garage on a friend's recommendation and one of their engineers quoted me £1800 to replace the gear box. It was the first time I had gone anywhere else but John Clark. Even though the first garage was kind and helpful, I was not confident that they were the specialists so I went back to John Clark who not only told me the problem was the gear selector, not the gear box, but they also identified two other issues. They then fixed all three problems, saving me hundreds of pounds and, as my friend said, practically giving me back a new car. This experience strengthens my confidence in John Clark, which is now located on Abbotswell Road, Aberdeen.
