charlatans
I had my van recovered to clarks commercials as a none runner. I would turn ignition key and nothing would happen vehicle would not start or turn over. clarks are quick to tell me that plugging it into the diagnosis computer is going to cost £240. this is just to look for codes nothing else.
van is already at there garage so I agree for them to carry out diagnosis and repair. A few days later I get a call van is fixed there was no parts needing replaced and my bill is purely cost of labour with the computer diagnosis included at a total cost of £1050. The problem was apparently some corroded earth's that needed cleaned up.
I pick van up and yes you guessed it within a week same problem as before van not starting or cranking over. so I am reluctant to return to clarks just to fork out another £240 for them to go looking for codes so I arrange recovery to another garage for another opinion.
Recovery driver turns up i explain the problem to him and within 5 mins he has me up and runing again. Recovery driver tried a booster pack to battery vehicle still not starting then he simply crawled under vehicle gave the starter motor a few taps and she fired straight up again. Thanks to some GOOD OLD FASHIONED BASIC MECHANICAL CHECKS DONE this part was missed by clarks in my opinion the problem was diagnosed without just jumping into error codes and that nice little money erner of £240.
As my van was now running I drove it to this second garage where they replaced the starter motor and van is now working as it should...
it scares me to think how much money I could of continued to throw down the drain at clarks until they would of diagnosed the correct problem..

Sorting things the good way
Had to return for a warranty replacement for bellows and was told needed new shock as they spotted that problem and got a few things on back order, problem with bellows though and mechanic came to explain problems and how they would sort it genuine mistake and so really pleased with communication and problem solving from all staff

A good experience of Clark Commercial’s service Dept in Dyce - I was lent a courtesy van rather than a car which was slightly disappointing but it was a super vehicle Our car was in for an oil change and 2 software recalls - we were surprised to be told that our car would need to stay in Dyce as “ they didn’t have a part On collecting the car we quickly discovered that the clock was completely wrong and there were 2 software updates required which we found odd

Poor customer service!
My brother & I visited today to price up and all being well order a new V6 Amorak pickup for our business. The salesman Gary wouldn't take a quick 5 minutes away from another customer to speak with us. We would have paid the deal in full today & have since ordered one elsewhere!

Good: Personable manner from the service desk. Eventually fixed the problem successfully with my van (replacement DPF).
Poor: There was a major delay due to a hold up in the delivery of the required part from VW (several weeks). This was not communicated to me until late in the initial delivery window. It was then delayed again and only escalated when I complained about it. I asked for a courtesy car to cover the extended delay period but this was not provided even though this should part good proactive customer service.

brand new van bought in hawco in inverness because you guys couldn't get me one.. issue with the steering wheel being squint (off centre) and vibration in the wheels.. took to you as you are the closest VW dealer to me... you guys decided it wasn't warranty.. not sure why a brand new van with issues isn't covered by warranty.. then became the dance of politics between you guys and Hawco.. mean while i just wanted my van fixed and returned.. after 2 or 3 days i picked up my van with no work completed by you guys.. work has now been done by Hawco in inverness.. your behaviours reminded me why i don't like doing business with motor vehicle dealers in Aberdeen

Worth the trip
Travelled up from South Somerset to purchase a kombi ,Gary sent a video showing good and not so good points which was good enough for me , Ben & Tony handed the van over to me as Gary was off . Extremely poor communication, response and after sales service - or lack of it.
Catalogue of excuses given during sale and after sales process resulting in a number complaints made to VW and the JC Motor Group.
Worst VW customer experience in over 30 years.
