I had a great customer experience with JC select. Both Gordon Bennet and Hannah Selley were extremely helpful in taking me through the end to end process with Gordon helping me find the perfect car when walking into the showroom and Hannah taking me through the simple and fast finance process behind the scenes. I would highly recommend this dealership if looking for a new car.

Car purchased on 15 July 2025. Engine Management Warning light appeared on day of purchase after driving car home (less than 30 miles). Took car back same day to have issue resolved, however Engine Management warning light again appeared within 30 miles. Now struggling to get car booked in to have fault properly diagnosed and fixed. Sadly, my experience is very much that the attentive customer service expires almost immediately upon transferring John Clark your cash!

Cannot express enough how much I don’t recommend John Clark select Stirling. Amazing pre sale however post sale is absolutely shocking. My car became faulty within days of having it. Staff were useless and I was lied to repeatedly. Spoken down to on the phone. Emails I received were highly unprofessional using phrases such as “lol”. Staff are lazy and have no motivation to help customers with their issues, particularly when they are at fault. They hide, and dodge phone calls/ emails. I have had this car a month, in that time the car has only been usable for a week!! Garage have taken zero responsibility, offered no apologies, no sincerity and no courtesy car. Only thing they were concerned about is the hassle it’s causing for them!! certainly won’t be using John Clark Select Stirling again nor would I recommend to anyone. Hopefully I don’t need to be in contact with them any further!

First experience dealing with this garage and certainly my last, after numerous delays in pick up dates for my new car as it clearly had not been prepared properly and after one issue resolved another arose the day came to collect my car and I noted that the number plate light was incorrect type and did not fit securely. This was pointed out and was rectified prior to me leaving, the next day I noted there was no rubber blade on rear wiper and there was tar spots on almost ever panel of the car. I informed the salesman who advised this would be rectified and the car would have to go back to Stirling, I then noted there was also a droning noise coming from front of the car. The car was picked up from my house to have issues rectified and exterior valet, car was away for 2 full days to be returned with tar spots still on car and a call from salesman saying nothing could be found for droning sound and would have to go back to Stirling again. All of these issues normally would be a red flag but I do like the car so I have decided that as this company has no idea of how to prep a vehicle for sale and has very limited notion of customer care I will no longer be dealing with the, the sales manager actually said to me after complaining about the tar spots that the level of prep / valet at this garage depends on the year and mileage of the car you buy, NOT the cost, so to close this out I hope John Clark are reading this as I am now having to spend a further £200 in getting the tar spots removed from the car.

Was looking for a car on auto trader and enquired about a Mercedes, heard back quickly and was offered to come and see it in person. When I arrived at JC Select I was greeted by Ross who was very polite professional and provided all the information I needed to know before going forward about the car and maintenance plans. I don’t have a complaint about the garage and would recommend others if they’re looking for a car to check there, and many thanks to Ross Campbell again for all his help with getting this new car as smoothly and quickly as possible.

Visited John Clark after seeing a car online on 17th July. Took car for test drive and discussed trade in for my car. Happy with deal and arranged to buy. Was told they were short staffed so pick up would be around 7 days, arranged for collection Friday 25th.
Thurs 24th received an email saying pick up may not be possible on the Friday and might be Saturday morning. Having already arranged insurance for new car and cancelled current car policy, John Clark offered a courtesy car if not ready. Still, all good. Was told to come on Friday at 4pm for car or courtesy car
2.30pm on Friday received message to call urgently. When I called I was told that they only just found out 90 minutes before the planned hand over that the car I was buying had been in a collision before they received and there was significant damage, therefore options were alternative car (they had nothing whatsoever in budget that was suitable and were not prepared to look at reduction in price of something else) or just refund me my money as I had already paid in cash.
A complete lack of professionalism, awareness of the problems this would cause or concern. I raised issue of my insurance on current car and casually told it would be ok, just contact insurers to resolve.

Left completely high and dry 90 minutes before arranged collection, no car, no offer of courtesy car until something suitable came up.

Following day I received a call and email with a "solution" which was a similar car (a year older) and told on the presentation video it was one previously sold but the buyer had failed finance checks.

Would now not touch a car from here and has put me off smaller dealerships.

Visited Evans Halshaw in Motherwell the evening I was told the car was no longer available, brilliant helpful staff, suitable car found, test drive, returned next morning and left in new car.

Avoid John Clark, Stirling. Very poor. Only getting 1 star as no option for zero.

I purchased an Audi S5 from John Clark Motor Group. Very nice car with full Audi service history and drives perfect. Car had 150 point check and came with 12 months warranty and breakdown cover - I have never seen any garages offer this so that tells you all their cars are throroughly checked and they are in line with dealership standards for sure. The service was amazing and Ross was very helpful from the point of my first phone call until my collection date. Ross answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable and he kept me up to date with everything. He even picked me up from the train station. I would definitely buy again and recommend to family and friends.

Was sold a car by Ross - he made the process very easy/quick and kept me well informed. Very happy with my experience and my new car.

Garage does not have capacity to deal with repairs under warranty!
Disappointing experience and for that reason will not recommend nor use this garage again.

When arriving to the garage I wasn’t 100% sure what car I wanted. I met Gordon who was a star, he took the time to listen to me and was offering to help. Me and my fiance went out and had a look and I said to Gordon and (my car). Gordon was able to tell me all the information and I was able to go on a test drive. He gave me time to think about the car and I said yes! Less than a week I got my car.

A massive thank you to Gordon for dropping my car off at my place of work and I was able to go home after a long shift in my new car!

Team are friendly, welcoming and I will be recommending them to friends and family.

Easiest process I've had buying a car! Can't thank Chris enough for his excellent customer service in making purchasing a car much less daunting. Chris is an asset to the Stirling branch and could not have explained all the documentation and warranties in more detail. His prompt and positive communication throughout the process really put me at ease handing over money for the car. Absolutely love the car and it was in excellent condition when we picked it up. Excellent service from start to finish, dealt with Keiran, and he couldn't have been any more helpful, daily calls and emails etc and any of the several questions I asked, he answered with no problem at all! This is the second time in 2 years I've bought my cars from here 👍👍

From the very first phone call to Chris I knew we were going to have a more positive experience than I had previously had with 2 other companies.
We were welcomed up to view the car and on arrival were greeted and treated with the upmost respect.
Chris showed us all the cars they had for sale that fitted our spec as well as the one we had originally phone to view. We were given the time to look around and test drive the car without any pressure or being pushed into buying anything. Everything was explained about how the company works in regards to selling vehicles, after sales, warranty etc we were engaged in conversation by not only our sales person Chris but by other members of the team including the manager. We knew then what we meant to them as customers.

I would highly recommend not only Chris as a sales person but the branch itself to anybody looking for a very positive buying experience. Please look beyond negative reviews because not everyone has the same opinions and go yourself to find out on your own. You will know instantly.
Chris even came in on his day off to do the handover because he knew the experience we had had and the fact I had no car and was patiently waiting on handover day, that its self is commitment to the customer.

I saw the vehicle I liked online and put down a reserve. Within the hour Chris Thomson had made contact to arrange a test drive for me. I drove through to Stirling to test drive and everything was all ready to go.

Got all the paperwork etc squared away and collected the vehicle the following week.

Chris was great, no unnecessary upselling or any pressure to buy the vehicle and left me with a very positive experience. Will definitely be in touch with Chris for my next vehicle purchase.
