Worst Booking Experience Ever!!!

Worst booking process and customer service ever!!! Payment was taken for our booking only to be told by Javago that the payment could not be processed which was in fact a lie as they had already taken payment. We then had to provide evidence to show that this was the case only to then receive confirmation for someone else's booking which was for a completely different country. After chasing the company several times for the correct confirmation we were then told that the booking had to be cancelled as this was advertised at the incorrect cost. A fault which was made by them. They then had the cheek to say they would like to make up for the loss and inconvenience caused by offering us a downgraded hotel at the same price. I am yet to understand how this is a good will gesture or incentive for the numerous mistakes, inconveniences and loss which was caused by them! A booking which should have been processed within a few minutes took a whole week of chasing and miscommunication only to be told the booking had to be cancelled. Please save your money and time and book with a more reliable site such as booking.com to avoid issues like this. Completely unacceptable!

Never Use Them!!!

The worst booking system i have ever seen. They sent me a full confirmation mail and sms about our trip to Zanzibar but when we reach to hotel we are told that no rooms are available and they didnt confirm jumia.

Their customer service just said that they can not do anything because no hotels with same price available. So our holiday started with a disaster.

As a result dont even trust them and never use this site. Dont trust thier prices or confirmations, instead use booking.com or airbnb.

Very Bad Experience For Online Booking Though Javago

I was booked room through Javago Site 29 June 2017 In Muzaffarabad At Palace Hotel Booking Reference # 3140x4. Butt when I reached there the hotel Manager Afzal Haidry said we don’t have any facility for online booking & they charged me Rs. 2000 & said this is Fake website. I Complaint to Javago butt they don’t refund my amount. So I Have Very Bad Experience.

Stay Away from them, Pathetic customer service

They don't honour their own coupons they send you on your email. If you complain that it's not working, they would tell you that the promotion period has expired even though there was still time left when I complained. Their response is not satisfying at all. They don't respect their customers, moreover they would put it on you and never accept their mistakes. Take your business somewhere else and thank me later!

Worst Service ever !! Stay away

Being a hotel owner ,i can tell you that Jovago customer services are border line pathetic.They do not confirm booking and do not pay the hotels on time hence the guests face so many issues .Payments are delayed on average two to three month if you are lucky.And if you call them then they tell you that some one will call you back and that SOMEONE never calls back.Stay away and call the hotel directly ,you are guaranteed a better rate rather then pay hidden commission to Jovago.

Worst Experience, Jovago is a big NO!

Honestly i regret not checking the reviews before booking through Jovago. It's one of the most pathetic company I've come acrossed.
I booked hotels in Azad Kashmir and Muzafrabad on 4th july.
Firstly Jovago asked for a full advance payments that too within the first four hours or else no booking. Not to forget the prices were too damn high. We got a pathetic hotel that was not even worth Rs.1000 with worst kind of facilities for Rs.5800 and above.
Secondly, NO confirmation email was sent to us regarding receiving the money until late midnight telling us 'THE MONEY HAVEN'T BEEN TRANSFERRED IN OUR ACCOUNT YET' LIKEE WHAT?
Thirdly, Reaching Muzaffarabad we realized the hotel haven't been payed and we were not even allowed ENTRIES in our respective booked hotels. AFTER MUZAFRABAD IT HAPPENED AT EVERY OTHER HOTELS. We were actually calling Jovago at every other hotel but as there were no coverage in Kashmir it was so difficult to reach them. Nevertheless the hotel owner were kind enough so we stayed. But I've been back and it's been a week. THE HOTEL OWNERS ARE CALLING US TO PAY BECAUSE JOVAGO HAVEN'T PAYED THEM YET! I LITERALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

WORST EXPERIENCE using JOVAGO

Worst experience using Jovago for booking hotel in Kutton, Azad Kashmir. I booked hotel on 23rd June 2016 for night of 7th and 8th July 2016 but when I reach there, after driving for 10-12 hours, Hotel manager told me that they have not confirmed my booking to Jovago. Remember, Kutton is area where there is no mobile coverage for Warid, Telenor, Mobilink, Ufone etc.

Eventually I had to come back without staying in Kutton and till now I have not been reimbursed for the hotel booking and the fuel I consumed for going there and coming back. And Jovago ofcourse cannot reimburse me for the Physical exertion and mental stress I had alongwith my family (my wife, sister and my two sons)

No support, terrible communication and hidden charges.

I would not recommend using this service.

There is very poor back-end support. If things work then it's fine but the moment an issue arises they absolve them selves of responsibility. 2 out of the last 3 bookings using this app we encountered similar issues.

Issues we had:
- Poor communication between hotel and Jovago
- Charged a higher rate upon arrival at the hotel (Jovago representatives had confirmed higher rates with the hotel, without notifying us)
- Promotion codes did not work.
- Given incorrect advice regarding bookings and residents rates by Jovago staff
- No accountability for mistakes made
- No effort to try to resolve the issue beyond an apology and blame placed back on us, the customer, for making an incorrect booking.

I will unlikely use this app for any future bookings.

As discussed with one of our travel advisors the rate you selected is only specific to Ethiopian Residents and cannot be used by foreigners. We do apologize that the information was not clearly posted on our app when you made the booking however necessary action has been taken and this has now been resolved. With regard to the communication between Jovago and the hotel, we have had a discussion with the manager and as for now we have agreed to deactivate the hotel due to the inconveniences caused to you and other guests who were not pleased with the services offered.

In regards to the promotional codes, as discussed earlier they can only be used on one particular booking and would not apply if tried to be used again, thus explaining why you were not in a position to use the code for your other booking.

Once again we apologize for the inconvenience caused on your booking and we do take great care to ensure that important matters such as this are properly managed and implemented.

Booking confirmation and promotional offer are not reliable

Since few days, we had identify a very interesting offer with Jovago.com, so we have book 3 nights from Feb. 28. The booking and payment confirmations has arrived by email few minutes later.
We have consequently organize our trip accordingly and booked all our activities from this hotel.
But one day later, Jovago call us to announce that the booking confirmation has just been cancelled !! and they suggest an other hotel 20 kms further (moreover, less interesting and transfer cost & all cost differences at our charge) ...

In reality, the hotel was already full since Feb. 10 (we have checked it later on calling the owner of the hotel), but Jovago.com continued to offer this very interesting price .. and despite our issue, they have continue during following days to announce this hotel has available with attrative discount (I had succeeded to make a new booking with the same conditions) !!

Feedback received from Jovago customer service:
"each hotel is supposed to change the availability, rates and any room modifications about their hotel. If they fail to do so we end up having clients making bookings only for them to cancel"
Meaning, very attractive and competitive offers, but no one guarantee that they are available and even if you receive a booking confirmation, you might receive a booking cancellation later on at any time !!

We will now book only with Jovago's competitors, as they are much more reliable when submitting a booking confirmation, and they assume their mistake in case of issues ..

Beautiful home.

I enjoyed my stay of three nights. The environment is nice though a little noisy as its close to the road. The rooms very neat and cozy, constant light 24/7. I would like to stay there again..... The only thing that needs to be reviewed is the staff strength....oh I forgot the food was really nice...

Superb!

I had a nice time with the hotel I booked on Jovago. The booking process was easy and straight forward. The hotel itself was neat and easily accessible. The staff at the hotel were so pleasant and respectful. We had a real nice time and we would use Jovago again and again.

Despite The Reviews - NO PROBLEMS

Well, I read all the reviews and was leery about using Jovago especially after an experience I had booking online for a hotel in Calibar last year. However, for this trip I needed a room reserved and didn't have the time to run around Lagos looking for a hotel. Before I booked and payed online, I used that chat feature and the person VERIFIED that a room was available for my stay. THEN when I booked and payed online, I contacted a representative again, who called and confirmed the room and payment with the hotel. I'm not sure if this is why I had no problems, but I had ZERO problems at check-in. My account had been fully credited with the payment and all I needed was to show my passport when I arrived. Someone from Jovago called me en-route to the hotel to confirm my arrival. I told them that we were coming from the airport and stuck in the notorious Lagos traffic. The representative called the hotel and the hotel confirmed that they were waiting for our arrival. I even extended my stay and Jovago helped with that. I'm glad I took the chance despite the reviews as I had ZERO problems. I would recommend but also recommend that you follow up PRIOR to arrival to make sure that everything is ok and the hotel is ready for your arrival. Yes, it's a little extra work but I'd rather do that than show up in another country with no where to stay. I'd recommend Jovago and will use again.

Great Invention

This site is what I call the 21 century road to map to luxury living. The site is awesome and have really helped me, because I travel alot and do have issues in picking a hotel, but since I discover the site my journeys have been fun all the way. Thanks alot.

Bad communication between Jovago and the hotel

EDIT: Even though I had a bad experience with Jovago regarding my hotel booking in Zanzibar, I have to say Jovago was helpful and relatively quick to refund my money after a couple of days with dialouge online after I got home from my travels. Using their live chat was effective and they even made the effort to give me a call on my cellphone here in Norway to fix this matter. I appreciate that costumer service, and hopefully the communication between the hotels and Jovago will get better in the future. Thanks again for getting me my money back!

I booked a hotel in Zanzibar via Jovago. 400$. The hotel never got my money from them, so I had to pay one more time at arrival. The hotel manager could also tell me that they have started to refuse to accept bookings through Jovago because of the lack of payments from them. I'm still trying to get my money refund from Jovago, but they still claim they paid the hotel.... When I asked for proof - they sent me a document with this text: "This is an interim payment report intended for record keeping purposes only and is not a proof of payment." I am so not impressed. Make it easier for yourself; stay away from Jovago!

Cancelled booking

While it was very easy to make my booking, can you imagine my dismay getting to my destination very exhausted to find that the booking was cancelled and further more, the particular hotel was full with no other hotels close by. That experience has spoiled me for booking with them any other time

Steer clear at all cost!

I booked accommodation in Zanzibar through Jovago, and it was the single worst e-commerce experience of my life. Cancelled bookings, mulitple mistakes with dates, terrible communication between internal Jovago departments.

I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere!

(One more thing: funny how all the recent 5 star positive trustpilot reviews for Jovago are mostly one or two liners, while the negative ones are much more comprehensive. Wonder if the positive ones are all real...?)

Jovago is the worst online booking site ever

Last month i made a booking at a hotel in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. I received a confirmation from Jovago and we travelled but got there at around 10 o'clock at night. Upon reaching the said hotel we were told that they did not have my booking. I showed the confirmation email from Jovago to the hotel and they explained they never approved my booking nor do they even have rooms at the rate I was quoted on Jovago. They added that the ad placed on Jovago was done without the hotel's permission. I later decided to call Jovago and find out what the issue is and they explained that they had sorted it out which i later came to learn was not the case. I again called Jovago to confirm if they handled the matter and one of their operators stated that she will handle it and get back to me. Till date i haven't received any communication from the company. Do not use this site as it is a big disappointment. I will never use this site again.
