Got a 99% refund within a day

Booked 2 hotels in Nigeria and paid upfront for about £180.

Then found out about Nigeria's ridiculous invitational-letter-from-a-resident requirement to get a visa.. a tourist visa!!!

So cancelled and had all the money back apart from a few quid within 24hrs.

But do check on the site when booking a hotel that they do refunds. It is listed as part of the criteria for each hotel

Nice experience this time around

I previously book a room with Jovago but had some issues on the day of checking into the hotel. However, there was instant communication to resolve the issue amicably and this gave me the courage to have another go at it next time the opportunity came up. This time it was perfect. When I say perfect, I mean what I say. On the eve of my journey and checking into the hotel I even got a reminder call from Jovago. I will definitely use their services any time I have any need for it, and have already recommended to friends and colleagues. Five star service.

Miscommitment and Miscommunication

I booked a hotel through Jovago and they gave a rate and confirmed the booking. At the time of checking in the Hotel gave me double the rate quoted and they said we have communicated this to Jovago but they never informed me about change of rate.
Instead they kept pressing me to deposit initial amount in cash to some account.
I would never recommend anyone to use Jovago

Great Customer Service

There was a time I had to go see a friend in Akute and due to the urgency of the visit, had to get a hotel room to check in. I heard about Jovago whenever I call MTN customer care and decided to try it out. Immediately after booking online for a night at Roseview Court, one of the customer service team got in touch with me to confirm my booking.

The next day, I travelled down from Ibadan where I currently school, and walked into the hotel and made my payment at the counter without hassle.

Voila!

No extra charge and it saved me quite a lot of stress, searching for cheap hotels from street to street.

Nice experience with Jovago hotels!

I found out about Jovago from a friend who recommended it to me. So I decided to make use of it in my next trip to Ekiti state Nigeria. Muah! The experience was astonishing right from online booking, customer service to hotel experience . I lodged in Ikogosi Resort Center. The environment is serene and beautiful! I will surely recommend to anyone anytime!

Great service!

I booked on Jovago.com several times for my business trips in East Africa. I just came back from Tanzania where again I booked a room at 4JS Hotel Arusha. I was even called by Jovago team after my stay to confirm everything went well. Thanks, for sure, I will use this very reliable service again.

Efficient and professional

I booked my stay in Westland Nairobi on Jovago.com with the support of customer service in choosing the right hotel close to my company's office.
An airport pickup was arranged and all went smooth as promised.

Bad experience

My experience with Jovago.com wasn't good. I booked my hotel at Serengeti National Park and I received the confirmation details after proving the card details and everthing.
The next day I receive another email cancelling the booking with the information that the hotel was actually fully booked.
This information was not what I found on the website when the hotel even had 2 bedroom as options.
Jovago contacted me only to inform that the hotel was full and not giving me any other option to make the reservation anywhere nearby within the same budget.

Absolutely useless

Twice booking confirmed. Twice bookings rejected later because accommodation was not longer available.
Jet is was available on their website.

And they reserved funds on my credit card

Wrong information

Tried to book after that got a confirmation . contacted the hotel in calabar (Channel View ) and the not even aware of a company as your.

Astonished

Easy to use and very helpful!

Although there was a hiccup with my original reservation, the agents were extremely helpful in re-booking me at an even better lodge, with a discount! They followed up until I was completely satisfied and were very professional. Will use this site again.
I also really enjoyed the photos of the various hotels and the reviews.

a great companion when away from home

As my job makes me travel often, this site saves me the time, energy and stress of having to go hotel hunting in different cities. I only wish there was a way of searching for hotels located in only a specific part of town. Rather than having to go through the lot to find accommodation in a desired area. The customer care is awesome. Thanks Jovago!

Not a so Bad an Experience

It was very easy to navigate the site. Lots of Hotels and a wide variety to chose from. You receive calls to notify you of your booking and reservation. Which I find very friendly and reassuring.
But, Jovago need to review the prices/room rates for the various Hotels on their site. Made two reservations and found out the room rates were different from what was on the Jovago site. Met another person in one of the hotel's front desk who complained about same issue.

Hotel staff didn't know about my booking

The online booking was easy but...
I booked a hotel in Nairobi via Jovago but when I arrived it took a few phone calls to the hotel owner to sort out as the staff had no idea about Jovago bookings. Checking out also required more phone calls to make sure it was paid.
