UNRELIABLE

I made bookings to a hotel in eldoret. I got links on my email to confirm the reservations. I confirmed. I then received a call from a lady at Jovago who confirmed that the hotel had confirmed my reservations. When I got to the hotel no reservation had been made in my name. I was even given the reservation list to peruse. Luckily they had extra rooms but I was and I still am very very disappointed with Jovago's unreliability. Never using them. I would rather call the hotel directly.

Excellent & real friendly customer-care staff you have with you...!!!

At first I was quite apprehensive about engaging their booking services especially after being asked to pay the full amount up-front, but I found re-assurance in the customer-care staff &, since I couldn't leave my office to go search for Jovago offices in Nairobi, I decided to go the whole hog & pay & wait for D-day...day of checking in at the New Palm Tree Hotel. My wife has also been a great encouragement to me this far, considering that this will be the first holiday I'm taking her out to relax & unwind since we got married 5 years ago...

Terrible was left stranded

I booked online for this weekend. Called on Saturday 18th to confirm with hotel. They said they didnt have me on their list. I called jovanjo rep and asked what happned. She called me back and said its all been sorted and confirmed the booking.
I got to the hotel at 19:00 staff tells me there is no booking in my name. I call jovango rep she said she would sort it out. Was sitting in the lobby for 45 mins before hotel rep came and told me they have no rooms and there was nothing he could do since jovango didn't confirm with them.
I get out call jovango rep and explained what the hotel was saying. Rep lets me know they had 4 rooms for Jovango customers and they were all taken. I asked her how is this possible I called and confirmed with you.
So I asked her what my options are. She said she is in a Matatu and someone would call me. Waited till 20:00 no calls and I gave up and drove back to Nairobi. With a pissed off wife. Reached home at 22:00 and still no calls.
I am down 6k in fuel. Ruined weekend, pissed off wife. Thanks Jovango.

EXCELLENT AND VERY USER FRIENDLY

It was a pleasure to go into the website as it was easy to obtain the requested information and it was quick and easy to follow the instructions. I was amazed with the quick response received when booking was made.

VERY DISAPPOINTED 😞!!!!

I'm very disappointed of the service provided by both your site & the hotel you recommended. I had to cancel the reservation due to been the wrong one I was shown on your website. I'll never comeback and never suggest to my colleagues or friends to book accommodation with your site or Nomal Palace Hotel of Nairobi, Kenya.

At 1st the hotel receptionist I met knew nothing about jovago.com so I just paid the regular hotel discounted price. I then got a call from a jovago.com rep and after that call I was treated as a VIP. . Thank you.

Good client service, but processes not automated

I booked a holiday on Jovago from a second attempt. First I got a booking confirmation, in the next 30 min there came a second e-mail saying, my booking was declined by the hotel. I had to call Jovago for an explanation, as the refusal e-mail didn't state the reasons. It turned out that the hotel was overbooked, although through Jovago web page it announced that the rooms were available on the chosen dates. Good that I hadn't reserved the flights yet. We solved the issue over the phone, I changed the dates and got the booking confirmation. So all in all client service is good and the staff is willing to help, but the processes are not automated enough. My advice: if you also have to book the flights, wait for a second confirmation e-mail, or better call and do your booking via phone. If your booking is refused, call to find out why.

cannot be trusted

I booked a safari accomodation in Ngorongoro (Tanzania) via Jovago.com in September 2014. Full payment was made. Due to some commercial dispute between Jovago and the hotel, Jovago cancelled my booking and did not let me know. I'm now left hanging without any accommodation as I purchased my flights from Malaysia to Dar Es Salaam, internal flights to Arusha and planned the entire safari trip on the back of the booking I made via Jovago. Ridiculous and untrustworthy. My advice is to pay a bit more and book directly via a travel agent instead of using Jovago
