very helpful staff

I hve to change my reservation multiple times and the staff did it all for me. They personally called to confirm my bookings. This is great.

Poor

I reserved a hotel via Jovago on Saturday and got an email from JOVAGo stating that my reservation is confirmed. But when I reach the hotel on sunday the people at the hotel say that they haven't received the reservation information from the site. I made a phone call to JOVAGO's office but it was not that helpful.

All in all not a great experience.

left us in the lurch with no hotel at less than 24 hours notice and offered no alternative

Booked a hotel in moshi, Tanzania which was cancelled at the last minute by email.

Wrong information about hotel

Address for the hotel I stayed in was incorrect and so I had great difficulty finding it. It also was advertised to be guarded, have a safety deposit box, and have wifi, it had none of those things. A very misleading post on jovago, I would hesitate to ever trust to use them again.

Easy to book hotels

It was easy to book the hotel room and the price was competitive.

However, I have yet to travel so I do not know if the system will work when I arrive and whether the hotel will honour the deal

Payment confirmations options

On payments...
I believe the mode of confirmation of payment from prospective hotel booker should be more than a confirmation sms from the bank.
In situation where over a week you don't get alert..and the payment has been made...
How do you intend to finalize the booking of the booker where he had already made payment with evidence of an instrument like the teller sent as attachments...

Great but not fantastic

The Jovago home page is great, but when you sign into your account to view bookings your profile page, it is difficult to return to the home page. There needs to be a "return to home page icon".
Secondly, I am unable to secure bookings using my ATM Mastercard. There needs to be specifics on what bank cards are allowed. This saves valuable time.
Beyond this, the hotel reservation system is excellent.

Website fine. Hotel was terrible, not acceptable

Job ago was fine, and the staff very responsive. Hotel chosen turned out to be unacceptable, dirty, filthy. Website description made it seem better than what it was. We were forced to find another hotel. That other hotel offer us a 50% discount making its price competitive with the price offered by Jovago for the unacceptable hotel. Not sure what to say except that Jovago should offer hotels at a more deeply discounted rate

nice concept which can be optimized

I first came across Jovago.com on an online daily I guess. I decided to go through the page and I was quite impressed cmpared to some Nigerian based sites offring similar services.
The dedication and motivation showed by the ever-willing-to-help staff, who I contacted electronically was mindblowing! They offered help, took some burden upon themselves to recommend some hotels. They acted very professionally.

I think this concept is a very much need one in Nigeria. I suggest some functions should be introduced so ease choice making. For example is the airport pick-up free or not? This was sometimes displayed but not always. Another very important parameter is the nearness to hotel. Most people coming in from the MMA want something close to the airport depending on arrival time - so if this isn't included it is difficult to make a choice from the list of hotels available. Also there should be some sort of quality guaraty from Jovago. Like mking sure the listed amenities on the site are really available! Even some staff doubted like when I asked if certain hotel had a jacuzzi in the room - she wasn't able to tell but later called back after calling the hotel in question. For me this was kind of strange, becuase if Jovago is offering a platform for trade it should be in the position to attest to was is being offer on it!
Well i dont want to be too hard but it is a very nice concept which I think has much to offer but also much to optimize! Good job!

Jovago is a very nice platform. Though i was surprised the service worked and the promised 1 day free was given without discussion. I was somewhat disappointed, that some information on the website differs in reality. This platformmust garanty its users of what is written and shown on it! A hotel can't write a bottle of water and breakfast included and does not offer what is displayed! I think this platform must work on the collaboration with their partners by ensuring the uses get what was paid and signed up for!

Please make compulsorty the listed hotels in pubishing prices and availability as well online payment and avoid unexplicable cancellation. Apricot refused the reservation when you accepted it.

The terms & conditions with listed hotels should state that update of availability and commitment for reservation done by Jovago. Otherwise you will continue to create problems to your clients. Apricot Guest house refused the reservation you done.

Amazingly Prompt Value Added Service

I booked a hotel through Jovago.com. Once I completed the reservation and before I made the confirmation via my email, an officer called to help me corfirm and went ahead to complete the booking on my behalf. I found this a tremendous value addition service.
I think Jovago.com has added some innovative services to the on-line booking experience which will make them stand out outstandigly.
