Just ate at JRC Croydon..

Just ate at JRC Croydon... aside from the fact you can’t enjoy and try as much food as you want because of the new system (there was only 2 staff serving in 4-5 main stations in the middle for a queue of hungry clients) I actually felt bad for the 2 ladies. Worst a drink of coke or sprite was £2.50 and I don’t think it’s even 100mls in quantity. So disgusted!

Disappointing

Had a very disappointing visit to the cardiff restaurant today for our sons 10th birthday.

On arrival we found out we couldn't take advantage of the free meal for the birthday boy as ID was needed. This had not been mentioned on the phone while booking.

Next we felt ignored by several members of staff whilst waiting to be seated. This was to the point where I actually had staff look at us and carry on until I had to go and get someone.

Once seated we then discovered many of the dishes put out were empty and took an age to be refilled.

The mens toilets stink like an old bus stop and the baby changing was covered in paper towels and the toilet was blocked.

During our dinner the plates built up on the table.

This is not how it has been previously and for the money I would expect better. We have been several times in the past but today has left us with a taste that will take a long time to dissipate if it ever does.

We were recommending this place to family and friends. We wont be anymore

Bad news spreads !

Saturday 30th November 2019 As an early Christmas treat my family who had travelled up from Southampton attended Croydon JRC Global Restaurant. Myself, 2 adult daughters and 4 children were sat at table for 7. Where we were sat was dark and dingy despite booking a window seat. It was also very cold due to the fierce air conditioning, this meant, inevitably, when we sat to eat our food it quite rapidly became cold.
The staff took long to replenish food that had run out when I asked twice about the noodles the staff said it was on its way. Breaded Chicken strips were undercooked.
Whilst our children enjoyed the day out together the end of our outing was sadly marred by my grandsons finger being impaled on a nail under his seat as he attempted to pull his chair out. Throughout the time we were sat at our table security was present watching however they were nowhere to be seen. My daughter had to shout for assistance and then a member of staff came. My grandsons finger had to be pulled off the nail. He was hurt, upset and very embarrassed by the ordeal. My daughter had to insist the matter be put into an accident report. They suggested she take him to hospital, very impractical as they had to travel back to Southampton. After her insistence the manager was finally called but no compensation was offered. I think the least they should have done was to refund our bill of almost £80 ! Well JRC you have lost More future customers and bad news spreads !

Saw a documentary about this JRC Global…

Saw a documentary about this JRC Global Buffet Restaurant, so we went down to Watford to have lunch. We booked a table for three. I am now going to say the honest truth; don’t believe this film, most of the food was cold, also the restaurant too. I queued up for teppanyaki and asked for two prawns and scallop and one steak. The so-called chef, asked for my order a second time I told him, however at the end he did my order wrong and told me to share the food. Further to say much of the food was pre frozen and not fresh as they perceived to be. The table was tacky as well. I can go on to say a lot more negative things. Overall, the experience was extremely poor.

I used to have lunch every single…

I used to have lunch every single Sunday,in Southampton.
Now everything went to sh.it.
The owner took most of the good food out, keeping the chips and curly fries, basically frozen cheap food.
I'm going to this restaurant for quality sea food, and asian dishes not potatoes.
Also the salmon was removed, the prawns are rare, people fight over a plate, cause if you're not fast there won't be any left and they spend hours to refill.
They took out the Redbull, and brought cheap energy drinks, the bottled Coke was replaced by refilable barell pepsi.
Bleah.
It's a Restaurant ,not a alley takeaway.
I came here with 30 friend not once. Many times, now we just go to Cosmo or to Bournemouth. That's how much we like our good food.

WORST place to be and VERY BAD Customer Service and CARE

We have booked a table for 13 adults + 8 children (All under the limit of the children heights) at JRC Watford Restaurant to celebrate our Festival. We all turned around on time and waiting in the reception to avail our booked places.

Surprisingly, we've asked to pay for the entire members before we enter into the Restaurant which I've never come across in any of the buffet lunches we've had personally anywhere in the UK. Despite of the surprises, we all paid. As we are 4 families with children, we decided to pay individually as a family groups.

Each family paid their adults + Children individually. During the time of the payments, one of the family missed to add their children with them and paid only for 4 Adults (Which they have got 2 children) as well. Hence, when I was paying for my individual family (2 adults + 2 children)

I added the left out 2 more children along with me and asked the till person to take the payment of 4 adults + 4 Children by telling them that all 4 children to be paid for the cost of £1. But, I was totally charged for nearly GBP 62. As all the kids were hungry and crossed their late lunch time, we rushed to the Restaurant without noticing the huge amount charged for me.

After a while, I've noticed that I paid £62 pounds nearly for 2 adults and 4 children which was a very surprise to me. So we started enquiring this to the reception again at the same day/time and same venue before we leave.

Unfortunately and again surprisingly, neither the servicing desk lady nor the restaurant manager helped out to sort this problem.

They didn't even show the interest of hearing from us and refund the amount extra paid by us instead they were telling more on the system the way it works at their end.

If we were told at the time of the payment saying, each fully paid adult only will get the £1 children charge and the remaining would be charged half the price - we would have worked out and paid accordingly by clubbing/adding/removing among ourselves. But, this was not notified to us. If it was notified to us, we would have paid only for 13 adults and all 8 children would have been accompanied by the adults for £1.

After we realized, the restaurant team was reluctant to accept this and not ready to refund the 2 Children price which is nearly £20 (Half price charged for 2 Children when we were eligible for £1 each). They were simply blaming the system didn't work once the transaction is posted. As a computer professionals, we also knew that any transactions posted in the system should/might have some mechanism to revert back or refund solutions in any of the customer facing world.

This was really an unpleasant moment for all of us, after all we came in for the pleasant time out and lunch for the festival.

I am writing this to let you all know that the way Restaurant treated the customers and the way to hear back from us for any feedback though we have raised the concerns.

This shouldn't be happening to anyone in the future and I look forward to hear from you better solution on this.

Though I've written to the customer care after the visit, I have never got any response back. That much only they care the customers and lot much care on the money.

The food and the taste is worst I've ever had in any other restaurants. I wouldn't go to this place ever again even if it is a free food. I would strongly advise not to enter this place to any new comers, friends and family.

Food is normally ok but going today…

Food is normally ok but going today with my husband 3 year old and autistic 5 year olds, who harderly eats. They charged us £65. Obviously I didn’t pay. We left straight away. What do they think? That a 3 and a special needs 5 year old is going to eat loads. When we went last week we only paid £20. Get it together global. You just lost a customer

rubbish

I hadnt visited the jrc global buffet, wood green london for some time (though have visited a few branches over the years)-- i was taking my friend for his dinner (as he had a bereavement in the family), so wanted to cheer him up, and i looked online at their website to see what time the lunch time service was at wood green, london

And it stated 12-3 p.m

And so we turned up at 3 minutes past 2-- nearly a full hour before lunch time ends at 3. and the door was closed/locked, with a sign up saying last entry 2 p.m???!!!-- so they were no longer after 2 p.m letting any customers in, despite supposedly opening from 12-3. astonishing. And the guy inside was making a sign to us through the door, that it was closed/no entry, AS he could see us through the door looking ultra confused/looking at our watches

So we could not go in to it, and had to go elsewhere. It ruined the day and made him feel even
worse

Now i have eaten buffets all over the world including this country and london wide, and in all that time, i have never ever taken any more than 50 minutes to an hour or less to have a buffet and leave. If they close the door at 2.30- i could understand it, but not a full hour before closing.

That is just nonsensicle and ridiclous as an hour, or even 45 minutes is more than enough time to get in and out, not to mention the amount of business they must be turning away.

What made me angrier is (as far as i could ascertain anyway) there is no mention on the website of the fact that they lock the door and refuse entry to customers from 2 p.m onwards, so at least i would have known this, had i known this i would have gone in earlier.

I have never seen this in any other buffet, probably for the reason that it is completely crazy, and makes no sense at all

JRC (Global Buffet) Watford:

JRC (Global Buffet) is a store known for all of its food and its variety that it has that it fits everyone.

The tickets for my family of four (3 adults and 1 child) is around £67 which is quit expensive. I think this because as a whole I do not think my family has eaten £67 worth of food. This price should be reduced to around £50-£55 pounds. Lunch tickets are very good though despite the fact that some parts of the restaurant are not open (steak, chocolate fountain). It is around £5-£6 for a child who is below 150cm (just gone over now). This is pretty good but the things we miss are heavily missed which we would like; a reason contributing to why I am not giving it a five.

Overall, the staff are very helping taking you to your table and very welcoming of you. They never have tried me to put me in a bad seat at all where I have left uncomfortable as well as insecure. They also have thought about your safety as I have been told off for running in the restaurant (lol).

Furthermore, their food is also of excellent variety and quality. They have everything for every person's taste. If you are vegetarian there are pizza's without meat. There are also dishes that people love eg lasagne with garlic bread. They also have many ranges of potatoes for the picky people. There is fish, steak, sides (chips, onion rings, small sausages etc). Sushi as well as a whole Asian section. They also have a salad section + soups. You name it and they pretty much have it.

Their food is not of amazing excellence yet it still has quality and that is the reason I am giving it four stars. For JRC to reach five stars I would suggests that they improve their quality in a few parts of their store (eg sometimes the pizza is not flawless). Another way for them to get this review to a five is by allowing places closed at lunchtimes open (steak and chocolate fountain).

Absolutely love this place

Absolutely love this place! Food is good whether it be lunchtime or evening during the week or weekend. The staff at Wembley are very welcoming, attentive and always go out of their way to ensure that you have a great experience. The toilets are always clean and tidy and the food well presented. Would definitely recommend JRC and have done for birthday gatherings and for catch ups.
