Unprofessional international delivery.
The shop might be a good one, I simply do not know yet. I placed an international order, but the way delivery works, is not acceptable for the price, in my opinion.
No custom fees notifications (although the support told me I would be notified before the delivery). In fact, they changed the delivery date without notification, did not provide any details about custom fees and tried to deliver, when I was not expecting it. I simply was not fast enough to open the door, and now I have to write emails and make phone calls to find out, where the order is.
P.S. I have received the order and decided to update the review, because all items came with scratched surfaces, one in the cable slot (which means it was in use before me). I am thinking to return at least 2 of 3 items now. Very sad, as it clearly confirms one of the reviews here, that the used items are sold as new, but cheaper. As a customer, I would like to know that in advance, it is very important. Also, if they were scratched during delivery, then it could be easily avoided by more suitable wrapping/packaging. Customer support also did provide me with the ambiguous information (they tell one thing, in fact the other happens). Overall, I have a feeling the shop is good, but something wrong is happening.

I knew approximately which keyboard I wanted when I visited, but they seem to have a wide range of non-keyboard products which I will be investigating.
Terrible service
Purchased two keyboards from this company back in 2019, both returned in accordance with their terms and conditions and refunds were issued.
Recently placed an order and they have declined to do further business with me due to the previous returns.
Bruce (owner) sent me the following:
"Thanks for your business. We do appreciate it. But we also have some problems with the returns.
You've had two keyboards that I can tell, and both were returned and refunded.
It's no reflection on you but we lose significant money when we have a return like this, we never get to sell the unit for full price once it has been out and returned.
At best we spend money repackaging them and sell them cheap.
We do understand it's not easy to settle upon a keyboard with all the noise and aesthetic considerations. So returns under the EU distance selling regs are a two edge sword, they are useful for reassurance, but painful if used too often.
The lack of places to actually try out keyboards doesn't help.
We are hundreds of pounds down already and your business is just costing us too much.
We are going to have to decline further orders on the basis that our success rate with you has been so low. And on things that are to some extent, intangible.
It's not right, or legal to take away the option to return, so this is the only way we can prevent repeated losses.
I am very sorry..."
This is effectively a penalty for following the terms and conditions in their returns policy, since "It's not right, or legal to take away the option to return".

The keyboards that I've bought have been nothing but amazing. I work as a programmer and am a heavy user so not only does the keyboard need to function well, it needs to be able to last. I haven't had any problems and recommend KeybordCo for anyone looking for a proper keyboard.

Sourced lost key from a Cherry keyboard
I lost a key from a Cherry keyboard I had previously bought from The Keyboard Company; they managed to source the key from a returned keyboard at minimal cost.
Plus they sent a follow-up mail asking if everything is good!

Great customer service
I flooded my old keyboard with water and completely destroyed it a couple days ago.
I needed a new one asap as I use it every day. In a rush, I ordered the same one with Keyboard Co as they were out of stock on Amazon, but it auto filled my paypal details which is my old address!
I messaged them and they got back to me (by call and over message) BEFORE THEY OPENED the day after to put a hold on my order, while I messaged over my new address details. It arrived the next day.

Excellent purchasing experience
I have been searching for a reliable UK based company to order a mechanical keyboard and The Keyboard Company struck me as the one that is universally recommended for their reliability and customer service. I must admit I have not had problems with my delivered keyboard and keycaps but I feel very confident that The Keyboard Company will handle any issues that may arise.

I ordered my first ever optical keyboard from the Keyboard Company after a recommendation from a friend - I wasn't disappointed. The keyboard arrived (initially) faulty due to soldering issues with the parts, and I sent it back. After some mental health issues, it took me a few months to actually send it, but the Keyboard Company were patient throughout and paid for the postage. They took only a day or so to repair it, sent it back, and now it works beautifully, with constant communications on what had gone wrong with it throughout. Thank you so much Keyboard Company (and Andrew)!
Customer support is key
Only after 1 year of purchasing a Keychron K3E2 keyboard from Keychron.co the battery died. I contacted Keychron to see if they can support further and their response was terrible. Then I tried with Keychron and all their team was amazing. By exchanging a few emails with Bruce, Andrew and Helen I sorted out my issue. The assessed the case and they sent me a new battery straightaway. On top of this, in order to avoid the process of unsticking and gluing the batteries back to the keyboard base, the team sent me the battery already installed to another keyboard base which was spare and of no use to them. Free of charge. Thank you team, see you all when I am ready to buy another keyboard.
I've placed a couple of orders since…
I've placed a couple of orders since Nov 2022. The first was for a couple of Keychron keyboards and some nice cables. I didn't research properly and ended up buying at least one cable that was not compatible with one of the keyboards.
One of the boards arrived with a dodgy USBC port. Support was great. They were happy for me to attempt a self repair. Very simple repair, just reseating the PCB to get things lined up nicely. Could easily have been a knock during shipping that caused it.
Ordering Keychron boards is always a bit risky due to some QC issues on Keychron's part. It's 100% better to deal with The Keyboard Company than with Keychron direct.
I ordered again this week. A nice new Keychron K10 Pro and a couple of wrist rests.
Order arrived nice and quickly and everything is fine (so far!).
I'm keeping my eye out for them to carry some of the more obscure Keychron units and potentially the new Lemokey (Keychron's new "gaming" brand).

Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service. Keyboard developed a fault with one of the keys after a few months. Just sent them an email and they replied promptly and sent out a replacement switch plus an additional spare switch. This was very easy, with no forms to fill in and no unnecessary back and forth to discuss or argue over the issue. The spare switch was a welcome surprise.
If only more businesses were like this one
I am a heavy computer user at work and home, but not a keyboard hobbyist; I therefore had a clear idea of what I was after but not familiar with specific models or manufacturers.
I sent quite a few questions and follow-ups, all answered very quickly. I felt I was guided to the options that suited me best, not merely a sale; my thanks particularly to Martin.
The order arrived in one working day and communication was excellent; it's obvious you're dealing with a firm of individuals, contrawise inquiry boxes-only and hard-to-contact shopfronts that otherwise predominate.
Not only that, but they were very competitive on price - better than sold through well-known marketplace platforms and other sellers. I wish more products were sold by retailers like this firm.

Fantastic customer service
Fantastic customer service, cannot recommend highly enough. Ordered a Keychron Q6, which promptly arrived. Though had an issue with the delivery itself (driver throwing the box around). So reported it back to Keyboard Co and they dealt with the issue directly with the courier on my behalf. Whilst offering reassurance that if the keyboard sustained any damage, they would gladly help. Thankfully the Keychron Q6 was packed to a very high standard so survived the impacts.
Great customer service, will gladly be doing business with again soon.
