Birch Class and Mrs Mercer of St James CE Primary School would like to thank Emma for working with us on Monday 27th January. We loved trying out the vegetable crisps (especially the teachers) and learnt some very interesting nutritional facts. We all really enjoyed making and eating our fruity couscous and learnt new techniques like chopping onions and cutting herbs. It was a really well organised session Emma with all resources ready to hand and you have a lovely calm manner! Thank you.
House Winners Reward
We used Kiddy Cook as a reward activity for our house winners. We chose Chinese cookery, which linked with healthy eating and for Chinese New Year. The children loved chopping, grating and mixing their ingredients, which they got to take home to show the family and eat! Emma delivered an interactive assembly to the whole school and then filled the school with the delightful smell of fresh ingredients. She explained everything really well to the children as they were working on their meals - what an experience for them!
Kiddy Cook and Nikki were amazing right…
Kiddy Cook and Nikki were amazing right from the start. As soon as I showed interest in doing Kiddy Cook, Nikki would email me straight back and once I'd signed up and started cooking, Nikki would email me the photos of my creations straight away. The recipes were easy to follow and they tasted delicious! At the end, I received a lovely certificate of achievement which I am very proud of and the course helped teach me a new skill for my DofE.

What a pleasure it was to use this skill for my son's Bronze DofE award - a night off cooking once a week and he got to learn some useful skills in the process. Any queries were responded to immediately. I definitely recommend it!
My son used this course for his DofE Bronze.
My son has recently completed the course for his Bronze DofE. He found the recipes clear and easy to follow and they became more involved as he progressed through the course.
All of the recipes were really tasty and a couple have become family favourites (the Savoury Cheese Biscuits and the Cauliflower Mac n Cheese).

Kiddy Cook has enabled my 10 year old son the opportunity to make a variety of sweet and savoury dishes. He has tried things he wouldn't usually choose to eat and shows more interest in food at home!
He attended an hour class each week last half-term, really looked forward to each session and has signed up again.
Everything for cooking is provided each week by Kiddy Cook. The children bring home a foil tray of prepared food and a menu card with instructions.
Great fun!

Duke of Edinburgh Skills
My son has just completed Nikki's Cooking Course for his Duke of Edinburgh award. It was excellent value for money. My son learned new skills and made some fabulous meals. Some of the meals he makes himself now. The recipes were varied and receiving recipe cards with the meal he made was really good. Nikki was great who came to our school yesterday. The children thoroughly enjoyed the cookery workshops and the assembly provided by Nikki. The feedback from both the children and staff has been fantastic. We will definitely be booking again in the future.
Kiddy CooK DoE course
My son undertook a 12 week Kiddy cook course as a part of his DoE Bronze Award. He thoroughly enjoyed the experience and looked for to his recipes week after week. The course taught him excellent life skills and the benefit of cooking your own food. The recipes started off fairly simply, with basic techniques and cooking skills and over the course increased in complexity. The recipes were very varied and didn't require hours spent in the kitchen. As parents we loved the food that he produced and we would recommend this course to anyone thinking of doing it for their DoE
Fabulous Pasta Making with Emma!
My daughter made fresh pasta with Emma today. The session was extremely well organised with clear instructions and everything the children needed was there. We came away with three little boxes containing fresh spaghetti, tagliatelle and bows together with a recipe card. A great experience and no mess to clear up!
Kiddy Cook birthday party
We booked Nikki and KiddyCook for our daughter's 4th birthday. We had a small group of children in our home. Nikki was fantastic and the children were really engaged with all the activities and cooking. They made pizza, dough balls and garlic butter, soda bombs and edible slime. Nikki came with all the kit and food and cleared up after the party. They all had a great time celebrating and loved the cookie dough party bags. I would definitely recommend Kiddy Cook if you would like to try something different.
My Year 4 class had a fantastic time…
My Year 4 class had a fantastic time with Nikki at Kiddycook! The lesson was based around our topic of Europe and the children were able to make Italian pizzas to cook at home which they really enjoyed! They were also able to try different European foods and look at where foods are sourced from on a map.
The session was really informative for the children as well as great fun. Nikki structures the workshops really well and are accessible for all learners. I would highly recommend!
KiddyCook
KiddyCook is always a fabulous experience. The children love baking and learning about food first hand. We have had Nikki into our school for two years now and look forward to more. Highly recommended!
