We love the nursery and the staff. However the finance side at head office is a nightmare. I don’t think we have ever had a bill that is correct. I also feel that there has been a lack of transparency... See more

Avoid at all costs. They took over our nursery's and are now trashing the reputation we had. They made staff redundant and also excellent long term staff have left leaving the jobs to be filled by the inexperienced management team. We were a huge part of the community and now to hear bad reviews is heart breaking. It's all about making money and sitting at a desk doing pointless teams calls and reading pointless emails how someone wrote over someone else's canva. When you express your concerns they just buy pizza!

Absolutely disgusting! since the company kids planet took over , they have literally wrecked the whole atmosphere , lots of staff leaving and the nursery looks run down. They have increased nursery fees and shown how money hungry they are. I have been to a few settings of kids planet and it’s the same in each one they know what they are doing they hide additional fees within invoices, it’s all about £££ DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO ANY KIDS PLANET SETTING .
Terrible nursery. Just profit making shambles. Over-subscribed rooms just to make as much money as possible. Every child is just a number and another £ sign. Head office is an absolute joke. Rude and disrespectful staff who I wouldn’t want anywhere near my children.
Kids Planet have taken over the nursery in Apley, Telford and are milking it for all the money they can. Fees have increased significantly and large numbers of wonderful staff members are leaving. It is such as shame as the nursery was superb. Yes, they have spent money on certain things, but this was not needed and the fee hikes are extortionate.
Took over a beautiful independent nursery in bubbenhall and 2 years later it’s completely ruined it. The fees have gone up and up and up, the quality of care has massively deteriorated. It was expected that my child at 3 would be fully independent with hygiene needs so be was constantly sore, we got very little feedback on how he was doing with frequent changes to staff being blamed as basically nobody knew my child. Every thing was a tick in box exercise with promises of reviews and strategies that would be put in place. Nothing changed and I have removed my child from this setting as I was concerned for his safety as non of my concerns were addressed. I wish I’d taken him out sooner as he’s thriving in his current nursey setting.

Extremely expensive and the services have really gone downhill since it was taken into private equity ownership. Kids Planet gloated about the very healthy profit margin in their annual accounts (signed off by the finance director) whilst also putting prices up for parents by 17% due to cost of living. Our nursery is now really looking run down and dated and the toys and interior has not been looked after for some time. Food quality and variety has gone downhill too. I provided feedback to this and the nursery manager laughed in my face and said she wouldn't bother replying to my concerns.
I wouldn't recommend the nursery anymore.

Having read the other reviews here I am sorry to say we have had the exact same experience. Sunbeams in Harrogate was a family run nursery where all the staff cared genuinely about the children, and it was a warm and nurturing and organised environment. Since Kids Planet took over they began charging extortionate fees and everything has gone completely downhill. The staff are miserable. They threw out all the old toys/furniture (which was sitting in a skip outside) completely unnecessarily and just seemed to add a load of fake plants instead. The new manager and the rest of the team don’t seem to have a clue what is going on. They do not follow the procedures set out in the guides/handbooks and I no longer feel my daughter is particular safe/cared for let alone learning/thriving. I have been searching for other settings with urgency.

They took over Church House nursery in Kidderminster which was a small independent nursery. It was brilliant but as soon as Kids Planet took over everything went down hill. They increased the fees, the manager is useless. It is so poorly organised no one knows what they are doing. They binned all the toys. They bought in an app rather than a handover from staff about what your child had done for the day. The app was rarely updated or correct and when you asked staff they had no clue. Loads of staff left and other kids planet staff were bought across from Halesowen. We weren't introduced to new staff. My child felt very nervous not knowing which staff we was walking into or if he even knew them. Couldn't get him out of there fast enough.

Recently taken over kids allowed. A real family orientated nursery, where the staff seemed happy, caring and full of love for what they do. Since take over it’s become more expensive the staff seem miserable and it reflects in their service. Not the service I was used to. I loved it when my daughter was there but it’s safe to say I’m going to start looking for an alternative for my son. The standards have dropped and the prices gone up. We were reassured everything would remain the same. But it is totally not worth the money anymore.
UpdTe the fees went up. They seem to have binned most of the nursery equipment less than 3 years old and ordered everything new. Was devastating seeing so much in the skip that could go to people in need prams and the lots. Just binned. And I’m paying more for that. Booked some viewings this week. Cannot wait to hand out notice in

"Kids Planet" have recently taken over/acquired a well established and loved nursery named "Rainbows' in Middlewich Cheshire.
In typical big company fashion, they do not respond to emails, "go home" well before their stated closing times, hence cannot phone late in the day. They do not bill parents for weeks after they officially own the business, and then overcharge with "surcharges" without any explanation and leave the existing managers at the facility to attempt to deal with the torrential flood of complains from angry and confused parents.
An absolute shambles of a company,
