We love the nursery and the staff. However the finance side at head office is a nightmare. I don’t think we have ever had a bill that is correct. I also feel that there has been a lack of transparency... See more

Absolutely disgusting and disappointing re how my wife was treated .
As an employee dismissed the day she came back from our holiday.
Bearing in mind her 6 months probation wasn't for another week .
Clearly certain managers need to be trained and understand certain needs etc re the people that work for them .

Great place to work, has a real family feel. Great people always happy to help! The nursery settings are lovely and ran by highly qualified teams. Couldn’t recommend enough have honestly never felt more settled and welcomed into a role.

So disappointed with our experience at Kids Planet Sale, so much that we had to take our son out and put him in an alternative nursery where we had a significantly better experience. Note that Kids Planet Sale is no longer rated outstanding by Ofsted.
Our nursery Shepherd Lodge were acquired by Kids Planet nearly three years ago and it's lovely to see our setting continue to thrive. There are so many qualifications, training and learning opportunities for staff members. We were Udeskole accredited last year and what a lovely journey it has been and continues to be. From making dens and exploring our local areas to campfires and woodwittling. It continues to be a great experience for the staff and children.
We have also had lot of money spent on new resources and enhancing areas of our nursery.

My children attend holiday club here, they love it, they get super excited about the activities, the facilities and the staff it’s such a wonderful experience and a fantastic way for the children to make friends during half term holidays!!
I also sent my son here, he loved the preschool room so much !! He made wonderful bonds with all the staff Charlotte, Nathan, Michelle, Lynsey everyone!!! , it’s such a wonderful thing to see your child be so excited about nursery, watching him develop and grow, learning so many new things, my son really enjoyed the sports sessions with Nathan and Kieran, they would change the sports often my son’s favourite was basketball and archery
Thank you to everyone at lytham lodge !!
I have loved my last four years working for Kids Planet Day Nurseries, I began my KP Journey at Kids Planet Lytham, working here gave me back the sparkle and love for working in childcare which I had lost after working in at a different company. After a year working as Outschool Co-ordinator at this site I moved to the amazing Bluebell Lodge site where I gained the confidence to take on more senior roles, becoming a room leader and gaining further knowledge in my role with support from a fantastic management team. Last year I moved to Kids Planet Ansdell where I became Deputy Manager, I also took on the role of Acting Manager whilst we found a permanent manager. The opportunities that Kids planet offer for professional progression and further learning is outstanding!

My son attends Kids Planet Shepherd Lodge and absolutely loves it. The staff are so attentive towards him and they know him and his little quirks really well, which is really settling to know as a nervous Mummy.
They are always doing lots of lovely activities and I love seeing what he gets upto on a day on their app and we like to look back at the photos together on the weekend, where he talks about what he has been doing with such excitment.
I couldn't think of a better place to send my little one and I will be sad to leave when it's time for school.
Kids planet ansdell is a great nursery family nursery they welcome all families in with the biggest smile on their faces, all staff are so friendly and happy.
It’s a pleasure to be a staff member here I go home smiling and the children are so polite and well behaved.

Kids Planet Lytham Lodge is a great setting. It’s in the heart of an amazing community which gives the children so many opportunities. Not only that but the staff are outstanding at what they do. The activities they create are lovely, all based on what the children are interested in and giving them so many opportunities. The staff are fully dedicated to their job and the children. The children come first in everything they do and the care they give them is outstanding! It’s a fabulous setting inside and out. Would recommend!
Kids Planet is a fantastic company, having work across 3 sites and now currently kids planet Ansdell, I can say how much they support both staff and families.
The careers opportunities are amazing, offering a range of qualifications and training. There is so much in house support where nothing is too much trouble!
The opportunities provided for learners is incredible, from sports to outdoor learning, trips and more!

My little girl has been going to kids planet lytham for a year now and it’s amazing she has learnt so much and absolutely loves going to nursery’s , they always have so many activities for the children to do. They have good play ground facilities outside which my daughter loves to go on . The staff are amazing always supportive and amazing listeners for if you have any concerns for your children. I highly recommend kids planet
Kids Planet Poulton Carr Head is a wonderful nursery. Lots of opportunities on offer for the children and such a welcoming atmosphere.
Our Ansdell nursery provides the best childcare experiences we give the children a safe and wonderful time providing sports, days out and a total positive time giving all the children the best experiences in their journey to school with all the children happy and giving everyday the best time ever
I was acquired by this company in June 2021 and have loved every minute of it. The opportunities for training are endless and so much money has been invested in the nurseries. It is great to see all the nurseries thriving and any worries that I initially had of being part of a larger group have gone as it is completely different to what I had expected.

I don't even know where to start from If I'm being honest. I cannot even find words to explain how horrible this company is. Our nursery was owned by such an amazing person who sadly had to give the nursery away to this excuse of a company. The company only cares about money. That's it. I'm saying it straight to the point. You are a number. Nothing more, nothing less. They come in and take all of your furniture and toys and put them into big skips to give the nursery a 'new look'. I'm going to be honest, this new look is horrible. Everything is the same colour (wood coloured) and you're not allowed to have any colour in your rooms because you get told off by the area manager as it's too 'distracting' for the children. I'm sorry but, there isn't a single child that I know who doesn't like colour. They make it feel and look like you're in jail with all of the restrictions and the colourless rooms, it's horrendous. All of the staff are depressed and want to hand their notices in because of the way they're being treated. Sadly, our lovely management have their hands tied and can't do anything because they don't have the authority. We're underpaid and NOT APPRECIATED for all of the work we do. They just buy us donuts or pizza to say 'thank you' just as a formality. The area manager is horrible and thinks she's able to take things out of peoples rooms without their permission. So much ego from them as they think they're higher up and above us. They treat us so badly. Sometimes I come home and don't have the energy to do anything because of stressed I've been at work. I've been crying a lot more too because of all of this, guys please don't work for them because it will RUIN your mental health. Horrible people.

My daughter was 2 years old with speech delay when she attended kids planet. For a few weeks she was becomming extremely distressed when going to nursery even turning into the car park would cause her to get upset. One afternoon I decided to turn up unannounced at 2pm and thank god I did my daughter had been left in a wet Nappy for 6 hours. The staff tried to cover this up i caught one staff member mouthing "nappy" to another as I approached my daughter. I told the staff I would change her which was when I discovered my daughter was still wearing the same nappy I had put on her at 7.30am. when I questioned the staff they lied to my face. I removed my daughter immediately from this setting and logged a complaint. I had a meeting with nursery manager and area manager and was assured the situation would be dealt with appropriately and I would be updated this did not happen.
Previous to this my daughter was denied cordial juice which I provided in her water when I asked why this was I was told it was policy. I asked to see the policy and procedures and spoke to head office and surprise surprise there was no such policy.
Thankfully my daughter is now in a fantastic nursery and thriving with no thanks to kids planet Fazakerley!!!
Do not put your children in this nursery it is an absolute disgrace.
Had to pull some out from Poulton due to poor policy (kids being let in with high Temperatures (39c+), nappies not changed etc so pulled out.
Just been to visit another in Poulton which has also been taken over by kids planet and I was absolutely shocked at the condition (kids absolutely soaked and staff recognising it but not reacting), and the confidence that learning is optional and wrt reading ‘there are booked out’, really disappointing. The manager also did not know policy wrt hours etc.
Viewed another local which was outstanding on offsted and it reflected, even down to having to hand mobile phones in on entry and the staff enthusiasm and policies being presented and displayed.
Unfortunately this is the 2nd kids planet local and would not wish to enrol my son.
Our son goes to this nursery, and we can not fault it! The staff in the room and management are fantastic, they go above and beyond to help our son, and the place is clean and extremely enjoyable for our son. Absolutely fantastic , one of the best nurseries around
My son has been attending the same Kids Planet nursery since he turned three, and he's now four and a half.
The primary issue with this nursery is the consistent turnover of staff in his room. He forms bonds with certain staff members over a few months and generally enjoys his time at nursery. However, suddenly and without warning, they replace all the staff in the room. This has occurred three times in the past 18 months. Each time, my son becomes distressed about going to nursery due to the influx of new faces. This period of distress can last for weeks, if not months, until he becomes accustomed to the new staff members - and then the cycle repeats. With him starting school in September, more changes will inevitably occur in another six months, leading to further tears.
One would expect a large chain like Kids Planet to have better management practices.
Their facilities are adequate, but it seems their primary concern is financial gain. Perhaps the high turnover of staff is a result of them offering only minimum wage salaries - after all, it's a demanding job role.
