It was started with just the seeds of an idea. 2003 - in the humble surroundings of London's East End.
‘Streetwear’ as we know it, didn’t exist. Owning and starting a brand was reserved for corporations and the privileged few. Our aim – to change that. To create a British streetwear brand that set the standard and upheld the culture.
We had zero fashion knowledge and even less money. Our education came from underground UK music, design and skateboarding. The sacrifices were real, but the vision was always clear.
No days off; learning from scratch; hustling the sales; putting everything back into the brand; keeping things moving to pay the rent.
June 2003 – KING launched its first collection.
Our immersion in the culture led to collabs with emerging music artists of the time, including Plan B and Wretch32 as well as pioneering partnerships New Era and Starter, developing a global reputation as a leader in streetwear culture.
Since day one the brand has remained independently owned with the HQ still located in the manor, Stratford E15. From packing boxes in bedrooms, KING is now sold and distributed globally on five continents and online at king-apparel.com

The material is so cheap bought 2 items from here gloves and face mask they are so thin that you can't even wash them cz they won't last. Online it actually said they keep warm as in pics customer can't really tell about the material so i bought it to give it a go. £65 and so disappointed waste of time and money, and if you want to return the item you have to pay for it.

With regards to the quality of the products, we respectfully have to disagree.
The gloves are technical winter sports standard. They are manufactured in the same facility as many snowboard brands (that being our background) and have been tried and tested over several seasons and they deliver on durability, warmth and construction. They can be washed on a cold wash again and again and again like any other product we manufacture, without any issues.
The balaclava is made in regulation polyester, elastane mix. Again it designed with both moisture wicking and breathability features that mean it retains the heat of your body/head to retain warmth whilst preventing perspiration. Again can be washed on a cold cycle without any issues.
We advise to read and understand the technical nature of the manufacturing process on every product description before purchasing or writing a review that respectfully holds no merit.

Bought a sweatshirt gotta be at least 12/15 years ago and it lasted for ages then bought a couple of baseball caps a couple of yours ago and both of them are still looking good! Just ordered a 5 T shirt lucky dip package for my son and after decided to order 5 for myself I rang them and the guy I spoke too (Jason Richards thompson) was very helpful as I only wanted to pay 1 delivery fee! He told me to order the other 5 and he would refund me the other delivery charge which he did follow up on! Great service and quality clobber! I will be buying more KING APPAREL I'm sure! Keep up the good work guys! Respect!

What an absolute gem of a company
What an absolute gem of a company! Discovered them when I watched "Top Boy" - one of the characters was wearing a trucker cap that I liked. I ended doing some research and discovered the company, their back story and what drives them and, for me, that's just as important as the quality of the clothes. And oh my days - what quality!
I bought a hoody and the fit was perfect. There was a little loose fleece that came of the inside but thats just due to the heavyweight material. The actual hood used the same outer material, to line the inside - again, superb quality and gives it a real feeling of strong design, strong build. The company logo is also brilliant, particularly in these cruel times - "Loyal To Few, Ruled By None".
Conclusion - as a 49 year old, I am delighted to have discovered this brilliant company and I think they will continue their current trajectory and keep going from strength to strength. They will be receiving more of my business in the future! Onwards and upwards!
(and maybe next year when I turn 50 they'll send this old man one of the sweeeet "Whitechapel Varsity Jacket" for my birthday... ;) )

Have one of their hats. Top quality. Purchased in Canada at a store just because I liked the color/look and didn't think much beyond that. I own a LOT of hats and this is one of my favorites. It's held up so well to the point I had to look up the company to see about other items and if they sell direct.
