It was started with just the seeds of an idea. 2003 - in the humble surroundings of London's East End.

‘Streetwear’ as we know it, didn’t exist. Owning and starting a brand was reserved for corporations and the privileged few. Our aim – to change that. To create a British streetwear brand that set the standard and upheld the culture.

We had zero fashion knowledge and even less money. Our education came from underground UK music, design and skateboarding. The sacrifices were real, but the vision was always clear.

No days off; learning from scratch; hustling the sales; putting everything back into the brand; keeping things moving to pay the rent.

June 2003 – KING launched its first collection.

Our immersion in the culture led to collabs with emerging music artists of the time, including Plan B and Wretch32 as well as pioneering partnerships New Era and Starter, developing a global reputation as a leader in streetwear culture.

Since day one the brand has remained independently owned with the HQ still located in the manor, Stratford E15. From packing boxes in bedrooms, KING is now sold and distributed globally on five continents and online at king-apparel.com

Quality from the start !

I have been wearing king since the company started .. must have been 17 year or so (god i was young then) The quality of the product has never changed over this time period. From design to stitching, price, sizing, nothing but great things to say regarding this company. I still have jeans from 2008 that look brand new !!
Since there arent any store stockists near me these days, ordering online has become an unfortunate must, however.. Delivery is always on time and little things like the free stickers in the packaging have made me feel appreciated as a customer. King .. you can happily keep taking my money !!!

So an order I made twice, once in November of 2020 and once in March of 2022, items were fine but had missing items both times. I emailed asking specifically how to go about dealing with damaged and missing items. I was told to contact royal mail, upon doing so I then respondended back to 'said correspondents - being KING APPAREL' whom I purchased from...
they claimed in the years they (as an established company)  being open and running worldwide "they've never had a customer had missing or damaged packaging ever" so when this happened to me TWICE in a space of - let's say - 1 and a half years, they supposedly told me So an order I made twice, once in 2020 and once in 2022, items were fine but had missing items both times. I emailed asking specifically how to go about dealing with damaged and missing items. I was told to contact royal mail, upon doing so I then respondended back to 'said correspondents - being KING APPAREL' and they claimed in the years they (as an established company)  being open and running worldwide "they've never had a customer had missing or damaged packaging ever" so when this happened to me TWICE in a space of - let's say - 1 and a half years, they responded saying...

"We've never had this issue before with customers missing items from any deliveries and we send parcels all over the world"

Understandably, misshaps happen, but when I've personally ordered only 2 times in almost 2 years and both times I've have a delivery/packaging issue to be accused I will take this further despite price, my previous reasons being 'principle' which was taken lightly and neglected, I have now decided to take this to my corporate solicitor and can advise anyone trying to buy from them to think twice.

It cost me roughly £27 upon pure Memory, including p&p) , it could be more or less by significant digits but definitely less than £30.

So it seems very unlikely that the same customer would have this happen to them again.

We delivered your parcel within 72 hours of you ordering which is exactly what we have stated for our UK customers. We also responded to every email in a timely manner and dealt with your concerns and provided resolvable solutions at every step. All items that leave our warehouse are scanned and logged on our WMS so there are no pick errors. These scans follow a chain from shelf to pack, so we double checked this and we are 100% certain that the exact items and correct quantities were sent out on both occasions you ordered with us. All of the items you ordered were packed and sent as recorded on the scans, both times. The first time we sent a replacement immediately. The second time you ordered with us, the exact same situation happened. Two orders, and both times the t-shirt went missing from your package...

Sometimes things get lost, packages get damaged and items go missing, and we have an impeccable record for dealing and resolving these issues, every time. Despite the unfair rating you have given us, we're more than happy to discuss further with you whenever you are ready to do so.

King processed my returns quickly (wrong size for me, nothing wrong with the clothing at all), sent me a different replacement size - couldn't believe how fast the new items came back. Their jeans are top quality too. Nice one.

Real high quality streetwear

The business model is great and the item quality is top notch. Fantastic clothing, love these guys and still miss my yellow LDN t-shirt from way back! Edit2: the only thing missing is some love for south of the river - where's my Woolwich, Lewisham, Brixton, Peckham tees!?

KING is King!

I was recently acquainted to KING Apparel via a VLOG. Normally, as 40 year old I'm more inclined to Farah chino's and other age related garments but i thought I would give this a chance. My last Tracksuit by a high end fashion label (BE*****F) a few years ago was extortionately expensive and you would think that the quality of the garments would offer some longevity but I guess after a few wears in the year started to deteriorate). I had paid way over the odds and vowed never to buy another jogger set.

I was really attracted to the KING brand and wanted to learn more about its ethos and principles so I thought I would give it a chance and order me the jogger set based on the research and the price! To my complete surprise, the customer experience from clicking to order the clothing items to delivery and end product was fantastic. It was exactly how it was advertised on the website and the quality felt better than some other branded items I have in my wardrobe. The price was also very reasonable and even managed to get a discount when purchasing the items. Definitely, worth the money for something unique.... Just a shame the matching Cap wasn't available.

The delivery arrived 2 days later as I had ordered quite late in the day but was pleased to see how quick the order was processed and sent. Keep up the good work KING Team.
