I would highly recommend Lianne in the Long Mile Road branch. I am just thrilled with my new kitchen. Lianne expertly guided me through the process from A to Z. Her expertise was second to none and she made some superb suggestions which I am delighted I took on board. Lianne was very quick to respond to any queries. I found it good value for money.
I also have to give Alan the fitter a mention as he did a fantastic job.
Avoid. (Kitchen World - Finglas)
Terrible experience. At one point I thought we were getting pranked. Kitchen Worlds incompetence, lack of after care, lack of communication, and the basic mistakes made by the initial ‘fitters’ was truly astonishing.
Before I get into it,I will say, that the lady we dealt with in the showroom was very good and at no time did they not agree that the work done was none other than substandard. However, it should have never gone past the 2nd visit. See fiasco timeline below.
It took 5 months, 5 broken worktops, 1 broken sink, and 5 separate visits from 2 separate fitters. First fitters (team of 2) made all the mistakes until a 2nd fitter was sent in October to finally rectify mistakes.
June 11th - Kitchen Delivered (Took over pretty much the whole downstairs of our house, which was fine as we had arranged a holiday to coincide with delivery and fitting, which was meant to happen the following day )
June 12th - Fitter was meant to turn up and fit kitchen, no show, no phone call or communication from him or show room despite numerous calls and messages from my end. I had arranged for someone to let them in so he was also put out.
June 12th - the person who dealt with us in the show room assured us the fitter would arrive Friday and finish on Saturday. Friday and Saturday came and went and no fitter arrived. I again had to contact kitchen world to see what the story was. At this stage we were finished our holiday and had to move in with a baby to my folks house as the kitchen and appliances took over the downstairs of the house.
June 17th - a team of 2 fitters arrive and finishes the kitchen within one day. From now onwards we dealt with one of those fitters.
June 18th - Upon closer inspection of the worktop we notice that one of the laminate worktops is cracked, which is suicide for a laminate. We immediately contact the rep assigned to us and they agrees that it needs replacing.
July 25th - it takes 3 weeks for the Replacement worktop to arrive and the same fitter came 2 days afterwards.
Monday Aug 5th – Countertop Issue No. 2 – The joint where the replacement worktop was fitted starts to bubble. I immediately notified Kitchen World. As you can imagine, this issue is starting to infuriate me.
14th – 21st August – Excuse after excuse as to why a new fitter and third counter top were not available in the coming days. Level of frustration hitting all time high.
Friday 23rd of August – Worktop no.3 delivered four days before next fit out, it was explained the previous two times that this is not acceptable as we have a 2 year old.
Tuesday 27th of August –The same fitter is sent out and arrives at 9am, only to leave again to get a specific kit/tool that he needed. He assures me he’ll be back by 6pm.
Tuesday 27th 6.30PM – The fitter arrives back and proceeds to install the third new worktop.
In an attempt to fit the replacement piece he cracks the perfectly fine piece of worktop he was meant to join it to. I was a bit shocked he would do this but I was trying to remain calm as he had excess worktop left over. At this stage its past 9pm and he’s using a saw and jigsaw out the back garden, not ideal when you live in a semi detached house and have a baby in bed and a heavily pregnant partner.
He finally finishes after 10pm. Through sheer exhaustion, and frustration we did not throughly inspect the worktop.
On proper inspection the following morning we found the following issues (to say he did a bad job is a compliment). 2 of the 3 worktops were very badly fitted.
1. Sealing on joint beside sink badly done.
2. Bad cuts with blunt blade / jigsaw or a spoon maybe?
3. Large crack on worktop (right hand side)
4. Chip / Crack on worktop fitted surrounding sink and filled in carelessly with silicon.
5. Cracked sink at tap.
After various back and forths we finally got a competent fitter out who replaced the worktops and sink and finally after 5 long months and many headaches we have a finished kitchen, but to be honest we’ll never look at it the same way and the shine is completely taken off it….
One more thing, the original fitters never screwed the water inlet pipe onto the dishwasher correctly causing it to leak for 2 weeks until I noticed it and fixed it..another basic basic error.
Never once were we offered any type of compensation from Kitchen World. As you can imagine, like everything this wasn’t cheap.
Lianne at the Long Mile Road branch assisted us in choosing the kitchen and layout. Lianne was really helpful and guided us along with some things we hadn't considered. Lianne was always available to answer any queries and maintained great contact by email. She recommended Alan to fit the kitchen, and he did a superb job. Our builder noted the craftmanship of Alan's work as well. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Kitchen World and Lianne in the Long Mile Road branch in particular.
Bought my kitchen from kitchen world (LMR). Devin looked after me and was extremely helpful. Devin designed my kitchen and did a fabulous job. He was very polite and helpful and made sure I was happy with everything before I made a final decision. So pleased we met Devin. Jimmy, the kitchen fitter was excellent and such a lovely man to deal with. So happy I went with kitchen world. The staff are so helpful and lovely to deal with.
Great selection of stock, got some brilliant ideas, for our new extension
Many Thanks John Grace
I would like to thank all the team and in particular Hugh and Chris for their excellent service and complete professionalism. I would definitely recommend this kitchen studio and would give a 10* if you could :)
We got our kitchen from kitchen world in Bray, we compared 3 places and kitchen world could offer a much better quality and still for a great price. We love the features and custom design we created with Lorna and Pamela. I would highly recommend going to them and see if they can offer you your dream kitchen.
Gary in Kitchen World Waterford was a pleasure to deal with - utterly professional, patient and accommodating. Any issue was resolved and he went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. The finished kitchen, utility and pantry are beautiful. Thank you.
From the moment we walked into the showroom in Newbridge and Ivan worked late to get the initial design done, things could not have gone smoother. Everything and everybody turned up when they said they would, everything worked out perfect.
Return visit to rectify a minor snag was no problem.
Thank Ivan and installer Chris, we are delighted with our new kitchen. In fact we are scared to use it in case we get it dirty.
I am delighted with my kitchen and utility. From start to finish, Steven Crosse from the showroom in Newbridge was great. He was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding drawings, materials, measurements, worktops, design, colour, and appliances. I made a few changes fairly close to the final sign off and Steven had great advice on the style and colours. I'm really appreciative of that. The kitchen I ended up with is the perfect fit and it was a good price also. Ivan did the measurements then at the house and was a pleasure to work with as well as the fitters who were really professional and left behind a spotless kitchen. Maicek was one of the fitters and I am sorry that I didn't catch the name of the other fitter. Both were brilliant and did an excellent job.
Overall, I'm delighted with the finished product.
The whole process from start to finish with kitchen world was a pleasure , Steven crosse from the naas branch designed everything start to finish with absolute perfection , when I walked in I wasn’t so sure what color or style I wanted but with the help of Steven I got that all sorted. Any questions that were to be answered he was there with an answer or solution throughout the process, everything from drawings, colours, measurements & much more . Chris the installer was exceptional also so neat and efficient didn’t leave a spec of dirt behind on the newly installed kitchen and was a pleasure to deal with.
Extremely happy with the end product & couldn’t recommend this company enough , overall a top class outfit!
Dealt with Finglas
All bells and whistles at the start. Great promise.
Paid deposit on 31st May.
As yet we have a kitchen with 7 damaged doors 1 door hanging off. Others won’t close and 2 holes in work top.
All we have had is abuse. No communication.
Still waiting on them with no completion date.
An absolute joke of a company. No apology.
Was told by PJ… what are you upset about it’s only a kitchen no one died.
We were told on Friday last that the fitter was coming at 09.30 today. I tried on numerous occasions to contact Shannon but she did not return my calls. We work … We asked that if 16.00 was an available time slot… you said no.Now you’re going to make us fit to your timetable even though at every turn you’ve wronged us.
You said you were going to call to look at the damage in our kitchen… no sign of you.
May I add the lies you have told. The damage to our work was not caused by our plumber but your fitter and you’ve said your not going to fix… shocking
No communication. Pj told my partner he would call last Thursday. When this did not happen. I followed up… I received a barrage of abuse on how dare I call.

We were working with Gary in Waterford. He was super efficient at getting a design done for us, our wardrobes delivered and fitted. We are delighted with the result love it!!
I dealt with Devin in the long mile road showroom and I literally cannot recommend him enough he was so knowledgeable and helpful and was able to advise on the things I didn’t know but still ensure I got everything I wanted in my dream kitchen. I was very indecisive and went back and forth numerous times and it was never an issue he was always happy to go through different ideas and was so efficient in communicating everything via email. The kitchen is fabulous and everything was done when they said it would be. I would highly recommend Devin and the the team at Kitchenworld
My experience was very good from start to finish.
John was very fast getting back to me about a new kitchen, then he gave me a very good design and his recommendations were great.
In 6 weeks I got a new Kitchen.
Everything was done in time and very professional.
I am very happy with John services and with the new kitchen.
In April I had a fire damaged kitchen & needed a new kitchen designed & fitted within 8 weeks. I contacted several kitchen fitting companies in a 40km radius to me. The majority either did not reply to me or they said they just could not do it in that time frame.
John Grace at Kitchen World Waterford replied to me to say they are the fastest in Ireland. He did not disappoint. My new kitchen was fitted within 6 weeks, absolutely amazing. What a superb job they did. Graham the kitchen fitter gets a special mention, what a talented hard working man he is, thank you.
I cannot recommend John & all the team at Kitchen World Waterford highly enough. I will definitely be using them again.
Don't go anywhere else.
We had our kitchen designed by Gary Reidy in Kitchen World. From the onset Gary was so helpful and professional. He listened to our specific requirements and designed our kitchen exactly as requested. Gary kept us informed with delivery dates etc. throughout the process. We were also really impressed with his aftersales service and he went out of his way to personally deliver an additional request.
Kitchen World have a great range of kitchens to choose from and we highly recommend them.
We got our kitchen done recently with them and we were very happy with the service we recieved. We were working on the kitchen project with John and were very pleased with the way he handled everything. He was very helpful and patient, especially when we wanted to make some last minute changes. Couldn't recommend Kitchen World enough.
We recently had our Dream kitchen designed and installed by kitchen world Waterford. We met with Gary to discuss the details of our desired kitchen. Gary was extremely professional and helpful taking on board exactly what we wanted for our kitchen design. His expertise put at us at ease from the beginning. We had a challenging area in the utility room with a lot of exposed pipework but Gary came up with a very clever design to disguise this for us and we could not be happier with the end results
Graeme our fitter was a very talented young man he had the whole kitchen /utility room assembled in no time at all. He was very friendly reassuring us that he would take care of any post fitting queries lf they arose.
We would highly recommend Kitchen World Waterford. Thanks again to Gary and Graeme
I am writing this review to warn others of the problems they may incur in using Kitchen World as the Installer of their kitchen units.
On May 18th '24 I met the kitchen installer, Chris, who informed me that if the kitchen appliances were not bought through Kitchen World he could not unpack or fit them because he'd be uninsured to do that. I started to unpack them and so did he regardless of what he had just said.
Nevertheless the Microwave and Extractor units were left sealed in their boxes when he departed 8 hours later.
Apart from minor fitting mistakes he left (saw) dust in some drawers and presses, did not use sealant to hide the division between worktop and walls and did not tidy many of the off cuts outside the kitchen area but left them against the exterior wall and strewn across the exterior driveway.
Having said all that the kitchen itself is beautiful. Also I have no problem with the superior looking wood.
I rang the Kitchen World salesman, Steven, in Newbridge, who was exceptional throughout the purchase, advising and directing us as to our best advantage with our particular shape and needs. He said that he'd fix the minor mistakes but was unable to prevent Chris returning as they were short staffed in that regard.
On 22nd. July '24, over two months later, Chris reappeared to carry out the repairs that Steven had organised. Less than 30 minutes later the job was done quite satisfactorily. On finishing the job I offered to read over my mostly written review but Chris declined saying that he was not employed by Kitchen World.
In summary the kitchen is very beautiful but a struggle to complete due to the outlined reasons above.
